Item Story

An atlas of wind.
A copy of the atlas pertaining to the weather of the northern regions, presented in the form of poems and images.
It consists of 100 thousand odes, each dedicated to a single cloud or wind and calling it by name.
The cloud atlas gave form to the winds, and odes infused them with personality.
The myriad formless winds are now friends and family in the eyes of Barbatos.

Legends tell that in ancient times, Barbatos summoned the four winds with the original version.
He thawed the snow, drove away vicious beasts, summoned rainfall, and created Mondstadt.
He permitted the atlas to be shared and copied among the people, giving it the name of Cloud Atlas.
Sadly, nothing survives the test of time. Certain drawings and odes were missing in the copies that survived.
However, the knowledge passed on in the form of ballads and legends among the general public.

The histories of the thousand winds were not lost, for Barbatos still holds them.
When Barbatos stood against the shadowy wings of the evil dragon Durin,
He sang to the thousand winds and called upon the Wind Dragon.
He who holds this atlas wields the true names of the thousand winds and all of their powers.

Now the skies above Mondstadt are calm and blue.
Barbatos and Dvalin have found a new place to call home.
The atlas, meanwhile, has been entrusted to one worthy of the honor.

R1 of this vs R4 of Widsith, what do you guys think? Thinking of using it for Yae

depends on a few things but almost always r1 of this. only time I’d consider widsith is on a character like Klee where even the EM buff is useful, but even then its almost definitely not more damage

Actually, I think that this could also be a good alternative weapon for a dps based Kokomi, sure, she doesn’t get a hp bonus and the necessary energy that she would get from prototype amber, but I imagine that the pure atk bonus and the additional damage from the skill could work well with her

Actually, this is not as bad on Kokomi as it seems, I tried it on my level 90 Kokomi and she hits 10k damage with her auto attack during her ult, that is some decent damage

It is said that it attacks opponents for 15 seconds, I wonder how many times in 15 seconds this “cloud” would hit the opponent for 160% ATK Dmg (R1), like every second or 2? does anyone know?

I just tested, it attacks 6 times, or once every 2.5 seconds. This also just so happens to be the standard internal cooldown (ICD) for elemental application for most characters. R1 totals to 960% phys dmg, so not that useful, ie 32% per second over 30 seconds

At R5 this weapon’s special ability when used with Phys DMG build, i.e 2 Bloodstained, 2 Pale Flame, Phys goblet, is a lot stronger over 15seconds than trying to spam talent level 10 charge attacks with character’s elemental affinity. Especially after superconduct is procced.

Now just need a Cryo catalyst user that combo’s with Baal’s turret for constant superconduct phys shred. (praying for Signora to become playable).
