Item Story

"I was once a wounded wolf, betrayed by the whole world,"
"But we shall create a new world, one in which no one shall ever be forsaken."

"Dressed in flawless garments as radiant as the midday,"
"We came to the land of silver snow,"
"And sounded the clarion of Her Majesty's greatness."

"Oft have we walked in the moonless night."
"Oft have we trudged through the gilded sands."
"Oft have we felt piercing enmity in the dark,"
"And oft have we dreamed of lovers in distant hometowns."
"But the pale flame yet burns in our breasts."
"O Harbingers, scintillating as polar stars,"
"Guide us ever onward, tireless."

"If you should dare to tear your eyes off those charlatans who call themselves gods,"
"If you end each day discontent, if you burn with fury against false promises,"
"Lift up your eyes to the white, glimmering stars, for that is our banner."
"Join our ranks! Let our marching boots shake the earth like thunder!"
"You who will march with us towards the polestar of the white night, come! We shall never abandon you."
"You who will walk with us into the land of darkness, come! We shall create a new world together."

"Know that the destruction of all precedes the birth of a new order."
"At devastation's end, we will greet a stainless dawn."

How come this is Childe’s signature weapon, but it needs inazuman materials to upgrade? What kind of dumb logic is that?

No, but i see a character FROM SNEZHNAYA, his name is CHILDE btw in case you don’t know, he doesn’t hail from any of the regions currently in the game, he has a signature bow that uses materials from a region he has NOTHING to do with.

Don’t blame me because MIHOYO are clueless d*cks.

You’re asking why the signature weapon for a character from Snezhnaya, who uses Mondstadt talent books and Liyue ascension materials, takes Inazuma materials to upgrade?

not sure if thundering pulse is actually better than this bow but even then its probably only slightly better. also what? crit rate is less powerful than crit dmg? what are you smoking bro. crit rate always comes first compared to crit dmg. without crit rate, your crit dmg is useless.
not to mention the 1:2 ratio for optimal dmg output.

TP is better against solo target since your normal/charge atk is main source of dmg. PS is better against group of enemies since it boost your riptide and elemental skill/burst dmg. Also your normal/charge atk also benefit from %atk, so i not gonna fall behind too much

Finally, they changed the name of the stack. Ashen Nightstar is much better than Byakuya Kyousei!

I liked Byakuya Kyousei tbh seeing it basically meant midnight sun, but Ashen Nightstar is OK too I guess.
Kinda miss Iram Et Fatui though… or Wrath and Folly
In Chinese it’s Bringer of Perpetual Day (极昼的先兆者) but who knows, might change again before it drops.

Elemental burst hit on opponent grants you 1 stack, meaning that you will not get max stacks on using your burst, becouse it needs to hit first. And it gives you elemental burst damage bonus. I am dead laughing rn. Great design.

Bruh, im not saying its bad, iam saying you are not able to use its full potential. And i want to say its not BiS for childe. First – you need more time to activate all stacks, second – you get a bit less stats than pulse, third – bennet is less effective with this bow since u get a lot of atk and no dmg% bonus, and the last – crit rate bonus is less powerful than crit damage bonus (my opinion). Inhale your copium, roll for it cus it looks better and regret it when better 5* burst bow will be released (someday). Only hot takes here

It is Childe’s BiS lmfao, not by much sure, but it is, deal with it. Let me guess, you’re salty because you pulled TP/Harp ?

            • Childe on 13 October 2021 at 9:30 am

BiS for damage per screenshots. Other than that, it’s not that good

            • Luxray on 16 October 2021 at 2:13 pm

@Childe It is Childe’s BiS for general use, what are you talking about ? On the contrary, Thundering Pulse is better for damage screenshots because of the Crit dmg mainstat

          • harp on 10 October 2021 at 2:21 pm
          • Reply

Pulse would also require you to use burst since you need to be under 100% energy, then again this bow prefers a fireworks comp since you just burst off cooldown / at the start.
Pulse also has no bonus damage on charged attacks which is a big part of Childe’s personal damage this bow in theory would give you a bigger number on those.
The 12% elemental damage bonus would buff AoE damage since it buffs riptide but you’re right about the bennett part, but the general attack buff of polar star that affects every part of his kit instead of just normal attacks would balance them out.
The difference between Polar Star and Thundering Pulse is almost nonexistent if you just swap crit rate and damage circlets depending on the weapons.

Oh? There’s actually someone who disagrees with you? Sarcasm aside, maybe you’re the one who can’t read. This bow is hardly complicated to use. It’s pretty much unga bunga and get max dps. I, however, would not consider it particularly good, since the dps increase compared to already existing bows isn’t much.

Of course the stacks are hard to understand, because most of the “””mathematicians””” in here can only count to 2.
