This blade was once used by a mighty general of Watatsumi. It is said that he only knew as much of swordsmanship as the "Getsumouun" and "Yuushio" styles he taught himself, And yet by their grace was he never vanquished by any mortal in a duel or on the field of battle. It is often said that snakes and fish are both cold-blooded. But cold-blooded creatures ever seek the promised land of warmth. To see his people's dreams fulfilled, Omikami challenged the gathering storm clouds to war. Amongst the people of Watatsumi bent upon conquest, a young man stood out from the rest. His fearless valor won him great love in Watatsumi, and they named him Touzannou. But after many years passed, his kingly name was forgotten, only to be replaced by the epithet by which his foes knew him: "Akuou," the wicked fangs and claws of the Great Serpent, the savage, demonic invader of Yashiori Island... The slaughter had hardened the young man into a warrior. But to him, Only the wish he made before departing, a wish made upon the moon reflected in the waters beside the shrine, was eternal. "One day, I shall set myself above Mt. Yougou, overlooking the palace of the Lord of Thunder." "I will have a joyful showdown against the legendary Great Tengu of Yougou upon the roof of Tenshukaku." "...And then I'll bring that tengu's mask back to Ayame and Mouun as a souvenir!" At last, the tides washed all their dreams away like towers in the sand. The tengu's mask, shining like a crimson star, was shattered like seashore gravel amidst the chaotic battle, Nor would the shrine maiden who shone like moonlight into the young man's soul ever return again, While the Akuou himself would face the blinding ray of lightning alongside the Great Serpent. |

Is R5 Akuoumaru better than R1 Wolf’s Gravestone on Eula?
Depends NGL… If you can maintain your ER then 100% ( and if you are using beidou in your Team its better to give beidou Wolf gravestone just so she can buff All team atk% -aka buff eula- and eula makes some big nuke) but if you cant maintain your ER then WGS Is better at this case
Is it a good claymore on Arataki Itto? ( at r1)
uh no? not even at r5, this weapon series isn’t good for itto, noelle, xiao & raiden (wavebreaker) or any bursts that only infuses elements to their AA’s. well it can work with raiden and noelle during the first swing of their bursts, but their next AA’s will not be affected by the watatsumi weapon series’ passive. better give akuoumaru to bursts that work with it like diluc, beidou, chongyun, eula, etc.
Raiden is a exception, the ‘AA” with musou isshin is considered burst damage
I have snow tomb r4 and akuoumaru r3, which better for eula? S
akuoumaru is very very good even at r1
Thanks for your reply. Yes you right, with this weapon I can deal 400-600k elemental burst but when i use serpent spine i have better crit ratio, my crit rate 65 with 220 cri damage when using serpent spine and when i swap with akuomaru my crit rate only 37. Already doing a lot of artefact hunting for crit rate circlet for a week. And so far not found any good crit rate circlet.
dont be dumb as fook compare your credit card weapon to Akuoumaro if you got good artifacts now if you have it now you can compare the 2 swords. kids this days… uuuhhh
Imagine been so broke you get upset when some talks about bp weapons
Imagine been so broke you get upset when someone talks about BP weapons, it shows who’s the kid here.
20 Pulls: r4 Akuoumaru. holy clap my Eula is happy, thank miHoYo!

Im a low spender. Only spent my money on monthly subcribe and 1 time in battle pass to get serpent spine for my eula. (I starting play the game at eula banner). Somehow when i want to try to get rust for my yoimiya, I got 6 of akuomaru straight from 4*10.
Is this weapon worth to upgraded to the max level and replace serpent spine r1?
Currently i use serpent spine r1 for my eula.
My usual party are: Eula, Xinyan, Bennet, Raiden.
Thanks.
Akuoumaru R5 is prob the best claymore for a Burst DPS character. It can out damage 5* weapons by quite a lot.
You can definitely use it on Eula, as you will get a lot more damage with her burst vs a Serpent Spine. Though keep in mind you will lose damage on her Normal Attacks and Skill.
The most important part here is how well balanced your Crits are. If you don’t have a good Crit Ratio with Akuoumaru, then keep using the Serpent Spine until you can upgrade your artifacts to compensate for the Crit loss of the Serpent Spine. Though… we know how artifact RNG works… getting better artifacts can be a waste sometimes and more if you already have a good build on your characters.
There are lots of videos already comparing this to 5 star and even to Eula’s BiS weapon (SoBP), although Song R1 > Akuo R1 (close enough), but maybe Akuo R3 > Song R1, I hope someone will showcase what an R5 can do, cause R1 seems not game changing as Sealord R5 exist with no conditions needed. I wonder which lore-wise wielder of this weapon (future character), but it really looks good on Eula though (way cooler than SoBP). I haven’t seen it on Beidou test yet.
Inazuma’s the best thing to ever happen to Beidou mains lmao. First Sea-Lord, now this? And this weapon is part of a set (bow and polearm also get a version iirc)? Goodness gracious.
is this gonna be included in the standard banner?
no
why is there a cap of 40% bonus burst dmg when the most u could get is 39.6% with ei and 3 80 cost chars? the cap cant even be reached until they make another 90 cost burst
The question is: why not? Why should you want a lower cap on it when you can just leave it like this? Maybe there will be more characters in the future that have super high cost bursts. And even if not see it just as if there was no cap. It’s that easy
After rounding the number 39.6% it would get to 40%. Assuming that’s how it works, it checks out with the description
This weapon at R1 beats my Eula’s R4 Snow-Tombed and my Beidou’s R5 Sea Lord. Wow. Such a power creep :O
hmm imagine r3 / r5, against 5 stars. by paper it already beats sea lord r5 at r1 (even if you won’t hit the max bonus, assuming you have 1-2 60 burst cost in the team) so on ave. 34-37% , on the other hand r5 sea lord = 24% and an extra 200% atk per 15 secs (lets say +5k dmg).
also base atk is a bit higher
510 (water sword) with 41.3% ATK
454 (sea lord) with 55.1% ATK
higher base is usually better
this really becomes better and better on higher refines (of course its not a free weapon, so its reasonable), however this weapon is not recommended on low burst cost (diluc, chongyun) and on non-dmg burst (noelle), and as of now, requires raiden to hit max bonus 39.6% (which is fvckingly fitting as she buffs all of your team’s burst)
i think this weapon is so good for beidou (overall benefits), then next eula (burst dps + aesthetics)
But you can get Sea Lord and Snowtombed for free. This is gacha weapon, with a pretty rare drop rate (1 out of 5 rare weapons)
It’s not much of a power creep, because you’re not guaranteed to get it or even R2… In fact, if you think about it, only whales can get R5, but since they are whales, why don’t they just get R5 Song or Wolfs or Unforged?
Well, i mean, we are talking about free weapon vs limited one after all, peoples who think sea lord is better than akuomaru are just coping
Inferior to Serpent Spine, NEXT!!!
Better than serpent spine for Beidou, or any burst dps support in the future
This would be so good in a eula-beidou-raiden-diona team because the energy costs of their bursts will not only benefit raiden but eula and beidou if you get two copies could be dipping out of their 80 and 90 burst costs as well.
Looks very promising for Eula. If it becomes her BIS 4-star, I might even pull on the weapon banner.
waiting for comparison among these 3 weapons: Luxurious Sea-lord, Blackcliff, Akuoumaru
Blackcliff would be the number 3 spot due to the fact :-
A) You need to kill other enemys for its passive meaning against bosses that would be so bad
B) The ATK% is considered while calculating the damage …. OR in other world if you had 55% from a specific sorces (Artifact) then the 12% will be added making it 67% in other words the more ATK% you have (which what would all of us will be using as our goblet) the less effective it becomes
While Sea-lord + AKUOUMARU will give a element burst increase meaning after everything is calculated . The final result Will be then increased by the Element burst %
In other words Sea-lord or AKUOUMARU will be better as a weapon (And most meta claymore user are meta because of there element Burst : Beidou , EULA ….. ETC)
Hoping to get this soon since i have a weird luck of getting claymores(r4 The Bell) from gacha
