A greatsword fashioned from the spine of a great sea monster, each eerie segment of bone a tale unto itself. In the past, seamen would use the bones of such monsters as figureheads, And with them frighten the beasts who dwelt in the deep sea, and who envied the land-dwellers. In the stormy oceans of the ancient past, those who put out to sea would often never be seen again. The carefree sea shanties of today were, in years long gone, farewell songs that left people in mournful silence. There was a greatsword-wielding captain in those days who enjoyed drinking and making merry before a voyage. When people questioned him, he laughed and said: "I know myself. What is wine and song to me? Worry not. Once the sea and winds are right..." But he would never finish that statement. He would only raise his mug, and call for all around to have another drink. Then, the day when the sea and winds came together arrived at last, and the stern of the great vessel rode them as it sailed. Deep into the misty sea it went, far across the darkening waves, into the ocean that teemed with sea creatures. And at last, neither the singing skipper nor his ship would ever return to the harbor ringed by mountains. After many days, the corpse of a sea monster from the deep was beached upon the shore by the waves. Brilliant white bone shone out from a great gash torn into it by a greatsword. Its blood had long been washed clean. "When the sea and winds are right, I will go forth to sea and avenge her, O maiden charmed by the tidal song." "So what if I sleep with the fishes? That way, I will be able to send my sea shanties into the deep where she dwells." Today, the seas are no longer plagued by giant creatures that emerge from the storm and rain down devastation upon the waves. The practice of mounting skeletons of sea monsters onto the bows of ships has also been lost with their extinction. But when one sails far abroad, sometimes one can still hear the spine-chilling sound of thunder rumbling in the depths... |

This or snow tombed starsilver on eula? I have almost 150% physical dmg bonus on her with snow tombed, her crit rate is 68%.
I’ll go with Serpent Spine and add a crit damage circlet.
I think 108% phy bonus (idk your artifact set so 2 pale+2 the other phy one) with 140+ CD (idk your current CD so I use base stats) is way better than 150+ phy bonus and 88+ CD (same as before).
If you have crit damage substats you can make an 108+% phy bonus with 65/66 cr and 170/180 cd. That build has more balance.
I have a 55/214 + Serpent spine r5 (100 cr Rosaria as support btw) and she hits like a truck.
I saw a Itto with this weapon R5 and being with Zhongli, he deal like 70-80k per hit. full worth
Can you say me one thing? Is better serpent spine R5 or Unforged R2? I dont know what choose to my Eula. Really thanks if you can iluminate myself.
if your crit rate is lowere than 70%, go for serpert spine
if its already 70% or more stay with unforged r2
Serpent spine r5 with 57% crit rate and 222% crit dmg
Unforged r2 with 69% crit rate but only 170% crit dmg
Same ER 135-140% more or less
I prove both and i think is better unforged build but really dont have a 100% decision for one of them.
I use 2 cryo, 1 anemo and bennett.
The only bad thing about this weapon is its’ looks.
It’s looks good though?
Enlighten me, why this weapon is considered OP?
I wish to really know
Best with Zhong li or another reliable shielder.
r5 can reach 50% bonus dmg. And it persists as long as you don’t get damaged.
That, on top of 27% crit rate.
The reason it is so strong is that the dmg amplifier is not the same as most other weapons, as it calculates all other bonuses, then multiplies the dmg by that final number, making it extremely strong. Between the crit rate scaling, strong base atk, and not being locked behind gatcha, this is one of the best 4 stars in the game; It is also incredibly versatile
You guys think it will be BiS for Itto at r5?
maybe not BiS but very very good
itto’s signature weapon is gonna surpass R5 spine even at R1 that’s just insanity and even better when itto’s using it
Quick question: this weapon or Blackcliff Slasher for Itto?
(the other one would go to Diluc)
Blackcliff’s passive only increases atk, not dmg. Since Itto scales primarily with def, I think he should get serpent spine and Diluc should get blackcliff.
I think this weapon is much better for itto than whiteblind
yup! her burst snapshots, which means it takes stats at the moment of the burst use, so beidou will have the weapon passive buff active even when she’s not on the field for her burst.
Based on the description of the sword, this thing is basically Beidou’s signature weapon?
I think it’s generally accepted at this point that Serpent Spine is probably the best BP weapon in the game, the best 4* Claymore for DPS, and probably one of the best 4* weapons overall as of current.
at refinemente is better than any 5* claymore, mihoyo just broke that weapon
That’s only because Mihoyo refuses to release a good 5 star claymore (aka with crit/cdmg substat). Itto’s signature weapon is finally going to break that, and even with it being for DEF with extremely low base attack, it might still be BiS on non-DEF claymore users… that’s how sad the state of 5-star claymores are in.
Bruh that’s absolutely not true first for all at R5 it’s not gonna surpass wgs and unforged and it isn’t the best bo weapon either. if anyone has wgs/unforged and planning to get this just for the crit stat imma say DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I’d say Deathmatch is the best BP weapon in a vacuum. But in reality there are WAY more good polearms than there are good claymores (Jade spear has Crit and Homa has CDMG, while no 5-star claymore right now has those substats), so Deathmatch gets overshadowed. I mean at R5 it’s giving 36% crit and 48% ATK against a solo target without any conditions.
Buen arma
Is it working, if character isn’t at field? I mean, if she has 5 stacks, will there be bonus damage for her ultimate while she’s not on the field?
“She” is Beidou. Sorry 😀
beidou burst snapshots, so it will do always the same damage. If you have 5 stacks when you use it, it will deal max damage until it ends. For other characters that do no snapshot, it should work that way given the explanation, maintaining the high damage even if you are not on field… but mihoyo is much inconsistent with skills explanations so just maybe
Y u no like serpent spine?
Maybe they dont understand the difference between a damage multiplier and increased damage that is additive with all other increased damage like physical/ elemental damage.
its rly good except for abyss cause you’re forced to start each round w 0 stacks
I mean cant you wait till the stack is max?
its written every 4 secs on the field, so you must on battle state so its start to count
If you’re n°1 in team is the wielder, he’s on the field so you can stack before start the stage 😉
Just keep whoever is using it on slot 1, wait for stacks before starting and problem solved.
Because of Corrosion, Sheer Cold, Blazing Heat, Electro-Charged Waters, Burning Grass, etc etc etc.
While it is strong, it’s just annoying to maintain outside Zhongli’s shield.
Corrosion doesn’t affect SS stacks.
