Item Story

People would once raise a toast to a traveler's song that was thusly sung:
"If someone plucks out your tongue, you can still sing with your eyes."
"If someone blinds you in both eyes, you can still see with your ears."
"If someone conspires to destroy tomorrow, then raise them a glass,"
"For even if tomorrow dies, this song shall live on."

They say that a region's character follows that of its archon, and that this holds true both for the people and the land itself.
But was it the unfettered archon who bestowed a love of freedom and wine upon the land and people amidst conflict?
Or was it the people who nurtured the Anemo Archon's love of freedom as they pined for it amid the howling wind and frost?
This is a question that can no longer be answered.

But that song is often sung in dark times.
Whether in the days when Decarabian reigned from his gale-crowned tower,
Or when the corrupt nobility overturned the archon's likeness,
In cloistered cellars, in dark alleys, and in decrepit taverns,
The song seeped through the gale and the iron fist of tyranny, and became an anthem for resisting heroes.

In the distant past, in a silent city ringed in from all sides,
Cheers erupted to the sound of a lyre and at last pierced the prison of raging winds.
A certain group, comprised of a youth, a spirit, an archer, a knight and a wandering flame-haired warrior,
Came and stood before the tower that loomed like a sky-piercing lance,
That cast a shadow like that of a titan,
And they swore to be free, and vowed to shatter the rule of the tower's lone tyrant.

The weak and infirm who could not scale the tower instead sang the song that, till now, had only ever been whispered in corners where the wind did not reach,
And that drinking song rose up with force enough to shake the city walls, spurring the heroes on as they climbed...
"If someone plucks out your tongue, you can still sing with your eyes."
"If someone blinds you in both eyes, you can still see with your ears."
"But if anyone dares to steal your song, the freedom you yearn for,"
"— That alone, that alone shall never do!"

Can anybody know how this weapon gonna work? You need double swirl Kazuha or just elem skill then ult?

      • Reply

usually kazuhas elemental skill picks up an element and does a swirl, therefore, removes the element on the enemy but infuses his plunge with this element. when he then does a plunge afterwards he does anemo dmg + the element he is infused with what creates a second swirl. so yeah you just need his elemental skill one time to trigger this effect.. it’s made for him since it’s his signature weapon.:D

Better try my luck on this weapon and only C0 Kazuha or C1 and Iron sting?

I’d go for c1 and iron sting as this weapon doesn’t do much for the kind of teams most people run kazuha on. The big pull is just the em and its not worth going in on the weapon banner.

Go for c2 or Freedom Sworn. It doesn’t make sense going for just c1, it doesn’t change anything in his support capabilities

Definately pulling for this as a weapon to use on Shinobu in my hyper Eula team. I’m currently rebuilding my Zhongli for 4 Tenacity, Shinobu is getting 4 ToM and then hopefully this. Since Tenacity stacks Ill be getting 60% atk and even more normal atk damage.

Does this sword affect Raiden normal/charged attacks in Q stance? Raiden’s Q attacks counts as ULT damage.

      • Reply

have to test it out but i highly doubt it. probelm is the discription are very inconsistant and normal attack sometimes refers to burst attack as well. f.e. beidous burst doesn’t work with raiden burst also skyward spines passive but xinqius burst works?! also normal attack speed counts towards raidens burst f.e. skyward spines passive again?! but since normal attack dmg% as motion value doesn’t count when you f.e. use white tassle (tested it out) this might be applied to normal attack dmg% in generall. that’s why i highly doubt it.

      sry, forgot about it.

made some tests and calculations with bennett e and barbara e to procc freedom sworn and without raidens e and full stacks. (since kazuha buffs motion value and overcomplicate everything)

freedom sworns passive provides atk% and motion value % so I set up a relation with overall atk and overall dmg and compared them since atk is a 1:1 multiplier. if the relation is the same would mean the dmg increase only comes from the atk% buff.

my raiden does with the first burst auto attack swing 16161 with freedom sworn and 14901 without freedom sworn what is a 16161/14901=1,0856x dmg increase.
her attack goes up with freedome sworn from 2238 to 2427 therefore 2427/2238=1,0845x the dmg.

or in other words 1,0856/1,0845=1,001x=0,1% -> 16% motion value would only provide a multiplier of 0,1% isn’t possible. it’s way more logical that rounding errors may cause this little deviation. but I’m not surpried since I know white tassel doens’t work either.

would freedom sworn be viable for a sort of hybrid kazuha? what i mean is running him as a dps but also allowing him to have support abilities, this sword plus his em ascension stat would be about 313 em, is that enough to just go atk%, anemo dmg, and crit for the artifact main stats?

      • EM on 1 January 2022 at 12:33 pm
      • Reply

If you want to build damage on kazuha you want EM anyways since that’s just simply more damage. The only exception would be if your atk/anemo/crit artifacts are very cracked AND it’s purely single target, then atk/anemo/crit would be better, but once there are 2 enemies, triple EM and that would be about equal and with more triple EM becomes simply better.

      • honed on 14 April 2022 at 12:44 am
      • Reply

if you using kazuha by himself with no elements at all, crit/ ameno% would be better, but as soon as you have an element mixed in, your damage on EM skyrockets.. you can even double swurl with electro and hydro, to do way better damage then ever before, EM all the way is just too good.

Does this sword, whither the effects stacked, performs best on ayaka than blackcliff r1?

      • nop on 28 December 2021 at 12:31 pm
      • Reply

no, EM is useless on Ayaka so blackcliff is still better since it gives crit damage. But if you want a better choice, then amenoma kageuchi is even better since it gives attack and the passive is really good since it can lower Ayaka’s ER requirement from ~140% ER to ~130% ER.

Bennett ofc, this weapon passive synergizes with him very well. It has a duration of 12s, the same as bennet burst and getting 2 stacks is very easy. First stack u can get from his E, second from Q and boom for 12sec u get +895 flat atk(90lvl, 12lvl talent), +40% atk(noblesse set) and 16% AA damage increase.

Yes but it can be hard sometimes to trigger 2 elemental reactions in order to activate the buff, its better to give bennett aquila favonia with high base atk

To answer your question, yes that is a Mondstadt sword. Since Elegy For the End was part of the Venti Rerun and either of the are said to be part of the “Millennial Movement,” it is safe to assume Freedom Sworn is a Mondstadt weapon. Also both of them said to be wandering amidst the wind, and Mondstadt is the Anemo region and is also the land of the free. Idk if that really hints anything, though.

Kazuha using this sword and 4 pc VV

    1st Bennett Ult
swap to Kazuha then Ult then use E plunge
then swap to KeQueen use E then Ult

even a Ruin Guards High Def wont stand a chance and those enemies who use shield are destroyed.

    thats Kazuha.

Actually, I really want this sword cuz it looks badass and has crazy support passive + big EM. BUT actual weapon banner is again shit, and only a 35% chance of getting the sword. I already have skyward atlas but men MHY, let US decide which weapon WE WANT. Guess, I have to wait for another weapon banner with this sword but with another crazy weapon like Homa or something, sadge.
