An ancient prototype pole weapon from Liyue's arsenal. The batch number has faded and no records exist to confirm the date of production. The pole is made of black steel inlaid with gold. A lightning motif runs along the body, featuring streaks of lightning interspersed with stars. The addition of gold leaf gives it an exquisite finish. By the time the monster threat was quelled, the remaining troops were few and far between, and each joined the civilian community where they were based. Though peace now prevailed, it sparked a martial arts renaissance that spread throughout the land. Demand for all kinds of weaponry spiked, especially for superior quality items, and manufacturers could not keep pace. To find a solution, Yun Hui of the house of Yun met with master craftsman Han Wu and the two conducted intensive research behind closed doors. By the time they emerged, both men's beards had grown by twelve inches. Their new weapon designs, "the prototypes," were finally ready to revolutionize weaponry manufacturing in Liyue. It was time to do away with the shackles of the past that plagued their craft. The first pole built to the new specifications had a black-and-gold appearance. The spike at the tip was two inches longer than the previous standard. It was truly a deadly weapon, but one with a composed and commanding presence. It was left to bask overnight in the moonlight. At the first light of dawn, the tip shone with the cold, piercing light of a star against the dim sky. At this ethereal sight, Yun Hui's mind was flooded with memories of his father's glory, for his father's name made reference to the stars. Greatly moved, he decided to dedicate the weapon to his father's memory. For this reason the weapon became known as "Starglitter" among later practitioners of the halberd arts in Liyue. |

If I use this for hu tao, she can get ER to get her burst up faster, while in her E state, you’re gonna charge attack for the blood blossom, once you’re below 50% of your hp, you use your burst and heal right up and the again use your skill, does this sound good?
no because Hu Tao can only ever get one stack because of her E cooldown
doesnt her blood blossom count as elemental skill dmg which means she can get the 2 stacks
rosaria?
doesnt it say the blood blossom counts as elemental skill dmg? that means she can get stacks not only with this weapon but also 4 pc crimson witch right
Do you understand what you’re saying?:)) who said that his charged atk got changed to an upward thrust, it’s still plunging like plunge atk?? Becareful to your words b4 you’re trying to explain smth bro
Looks good for Hu Tao right?
Not really. Hu Tao’s kit looks more like a main DPS kit rather than burst damage sub-DPS, so crit weapons should be much more useful than an ER weapon. Dragon’s Bane might be pretty great for a vaporize team as well. And Pike (despite the Phys DMG stat) has a super OP passive skill if you can get it to a high refinement rank. Prototype Starglitter, in comparison, seems pretty meh.
Also, keep in mind that Hu Tao (at least according to Honey Hunter) has a 16s CD on her E. So she is unable to get more than one stack from the Prototype’s passive.
Hu Tao has incredibly low Atk without her Skill and Burst. Her abilities give her Atk based off of her HP. Hu Tao is going to be similar to Childe in that they become hyper-powerful when they have their abilities up. You can call them “main DPS”, but they’re not like traditional main DPSs.
Looks pretty decent, actually. Though that might depend on how realistically close you can get to hitting the cap on the bonus attack based on her HP (Caps at 400% of her base attack). It has a higher base attack than most other 4* weapons, and the triggered effect is a damage bonus rather than an ATK bonus (which are going to be less effective for Hu Tao). The only potential upside or downside is that we don’t know how well she will generate energy, so we can’t tell if the ER will be wasted, particularly in a pyro resonance team.
if landing a blood blossom counts as an elem skill “activation” it would be.
if blood blossoms intermittent dmg is also given 8%, maybe its viable enough for a specific playstyle
I was looking at this, and was wondering; why aren’t people suggesting this for xiao? sounds really good honestly
Because his charged attack got changed to an upward thrust and his plunge attack is simply his plunge attack. So you don’t get the bonus from the passive while plunging. Now this is not anywhere near the better weapons for him.
Look into black cliff instead
Still though, 16% dmg increase for normal and charged attacks is better than atk% increase. And 42% Energy Recharge is actually useful for Xiao so you get more frequent ults.
Thing is, Xiao already gets a 95% DMG bonus during burst at rank 10, (77% at rank 6) on top of set bonuses and goblets of course. So an additional 16% DMG Bonus to normal and charged attacks only doesn’t look very impressive. At least not enough to justify using it instead of Blackcliff Pole, Deathmatch, or even Crescent Pike.
(The Phys DMG stat on Pike kinda goes to waste, but the passive skill is OP enough to make up for it if you have an r5 Pike. Seriously, an r5 Pike with 4-piece Gladiator and Atk% Goblet is likely to do close to as much damage OUTSIDE of bursts as a Prototype Starglitter would be able to do DURING bursts.)
sounds perfect for xiao tbh
