Transcendence: Baleful Omen
The Raiden Shogun unveils a shard of her Euthymia, dealing Electro DMG to nearby opponents, and granting nearby party members the Eye of Stormy Judgment.
Eye of Stormy Judgment
• When characters with this buff attack and deal DMG to opponents, the Eye will unleash a coordinated attack, dealing AoE Electro DMG at the opponent's position.
• Characters who gain the Eye of Stormy Judgment will have their Elemental Burst DMG increased based on the Energy Cost of the Elemental Burst during the Eye's duration.
The Eye can initiate one coordinated attack every 0.9s per party.
Coordinated attacks generated by characters not controlled by you deal 20% of the normal DMG.
Beings of great divinity might affect all that they survey, and the Electro Archon can manipulate the very inauspicious stars themselves to defend her retainers and bring a thundering sentence down on their foes.

Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu
Gathering truths unnumbered and wishes uncounted, the Raiden Shogun unleashes the Musou no Hitotachi and deals AoE Electro DMG, using Musou Isshin in combat for a certain duration afterward. The DMG dealt by Musou no Hitotachi and Musou Isshin's attacks will be increased based on the number of Chakra Desiderata's Resolve stacks consumed when this skill is used.
Musou Isshin
While in this state, the Raiden Shogun will wield her tachi in battle, while her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will be infused with Electro DMG, which cannot be overridden. When such attacks hit opponents, she will regenerate Energy for all nearby party members. Energy can be restored this way once every 1s, and this effect can be triggered 5 times throughout this skill's duration.
While in this state, the Raiden Shogun's resistance to interruption is increased, and she is immune to Electro-Charged reaction DMG.
While Musou Isshin is active, the Raiden Shogun's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will be considered Elemental Burst DMG.
The effects of Musou Isshin will be cleared when the Raiden Shogun leaves the field.
Chakra Desiderata
When nearby party members (excluding the Raiden Shogun herself) use their Elemental Bursts, the Raiden Shogun will build up Resolve stacks based on the Energy Cost of these Elemental Bursts.
The maximum number of Resolve stacks is 60.
The Resolve gained by Chakra Desiderata will be cleared 300s after the Raiden Shogun leaves the field.
This is the Raiden Shogun's new secret technique. Abandoning the void-like "Musou," she now shoulders a new "Musou" — the dreams and ambitions of all. Just as "shinsetsu," "the truth," also means "the new," so too has Inazuma entered a new chapter.

The account given in the book "Treasured Tales" is largely an accurate one. At that time, she was preoccupied with various domestic matters within the island, so as her kagemusha, I assumed her identity and joined the troops dispatched to pacify Watatsumi. After this point, however, the story turns into mere wishful thinking. Back then, I was just a martial artist wrapped up in all the fighting, not a social reformer or moral leader.

Character Details
Since the dawn of life, humankind has always borne an intense yearning for and curiosity about the world. This is the anchor point of their cognition and is the foundation of all reason.

The world of the people of Inazuma is also thus. There, thunder, lightning, wind, and rain were primordial facts of life, as well as light, and the sea... and the Raiden Shogun.

Babes nestling in their mothers' arms hear tales of the Shogun's slaying of many gods and conquering of other races.

When young men and women roam the islands, they see the gorge split asunder by a blade of lightning and the pale, still-standing bones of the giant snake.

Soldiers take to the battlefield with "glory to the Shogun and her everlasting reign!" upon their lips.

The people work in contentment and peace, knowing that the Shogun and her loyal Tri-Commission are there.

The great name of the Raiden Shogun has long shaken off the shackles of mere life, becoming the eternal traditional belief of Inazuma.

People trust in this great name and its might, believing that their descendants shall witness the same sights, that the same faith will form the foundations of their inner worlds, and that this will pass on from generation to generation.

This is the eternal paradise that the Almighty Shogun promised her people.
Character Story 1
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 2
The true name of the Raiden Shogun is "Raiden Ei."

In her long road, she has witnessed the price that Inazuma has had to pay for progress over the hundreds and thousands of years.

The happiest years of her life had passed her by, and those she once considered friends became her foes. In the end, she even lost the reason for which she had wielded her sword.

"Where there is progress, there must be loss."

Ei believed that this was the iron-clad rule of the world, with time as its merciless enforcer.

The greatest and most prosperous nation of men collapsed overnight, and even that most ancient Liyue Harbor would say farewell to its Geo Archon. The winds of parting came whistling in from the outer edge of time.

However resounding the Raiden Shogun's name, centuries later, millennia later... Someday, Inazuma would lose the protection of its deity.

As a warrior, she was wary of all foes. Even if that enemy was a crisis as intangible as time's passage, she had to find a countermeasure, a weapon she could use to defeat it in time.

Her answer? "Eternity." Only Eternity could freeze all things under the sky, make Inazuma truly deathless.

"Then, while things are still good, let us have stillness... Let us march towards Eternity."
Character Story 2
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 3
For beings with a perishable form of flesh to pursue Eternity, they must first solve the unavoidable problem of lifespan.

This limited time troubled Ei greatly, until one day when a mysterious technique came before her eyes as if by a stroke of fate.

Using such techniques, one could create intricate puppets indistinguishable from true life.

In theory, this puppet could perfectly imitate everything about Ei. It could surpass the limits of her lifespan and defend Inazuma forever. Yet, how could creating a copy of an Archon be a simple affair?

Ei conducted countless experiments to this effect, discarded a great many failed products, and spent an unimaginable amount of time and resources—

But at last, by her dogged pursuit and warrior's spirit, she was able to create a flawless puppet.

The newborn Raiden Shogun sat there silently, listening to Ei speak all about her, "her," and even about them. The future of Inazuma was here, inscribed upon a gorgeous blueprint.

The automaton had but one question to ask Ei: "There is no turning back from forsaking your form. Do you regret nothing?"

"Your existence is my answer."

Then, Ei transferred her consciousness into her blade, and thus was born the Plane of Euthymia.
Character Story 3
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 4
Before Raiden Ei became the Shogun, she was a samurai responsible for seeing that the previous Shogun's orders were carried out.

The previous Electro Archon, Raiden Makoto, was no great fighter, and the things Ei had charge over were mostly matters of warfare and slaughter. However, Ei also had moments of repose away from battle, sitting with her friends under the sakura trees and playing karuta.

Due to her character, Ei was always the most wooden player. She was never the final victor, nor did she ever have a taste of the prizes that the Kitsune Saiguu reserved for the winners.

Thus, she poured the effort that she put into swordsmanship into karuta practice, often pestering Makoto or Mikoshi Chiyo to karuta matches, or spending much time by moonlight reading the poetry inscribed on the cards out loud.

At last, the day came that under the sakura trees, Ei would defeat opponent after opponent. Even the mighty tengu would be felled after a hard-fought battle, and thus was she crowned the champion.

Ei let out a victorious whoop at her victory, only to be greeted by the sounds of her friends' laughter. Only then did she realize that she had lost her usual composure entirely, before snapping both arms back down and reverting to her usual cool facade.

Of course, her friends did not intend to make sport of her. Indeed, they understood her character and the manner in which she had worked ever so hard to come out on top.

As for the Kitsune Saiguu, oh, how amused she looked as she presented Ei with some pastries.

"I said it was a reward, yes, but it was simply some hand-made cakes of mine. I didn't think that you would be so concerned about it, Ei. Well then, enjoy the spoils of your victory to your heart's content."

Ei was hardly one to be greedy for snacks. But as a samurai, she firmly believed that what she lost must be reclaimed. These pastries were more akin to a vindication of her desire to win.

—But it was not long before that cool demeanor of hers broke into a smile again. The cakes were lovely — just like the taste of victory. As for her clumsy attempts to hide that smile, one could only say that it was an entertaining sight all around for her friends.

To this day, Ei still often remembers that sakura tree.

...Even though she has not gone to see it in a long time, and even though no one sits under it anymore, she wishes that time might stop forever.
Character Story 4
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 5
Ei still remembers the way in which Makoto greatly loved the scenery of Inazuma, its cuisine, and the stories of its people — and how she loved telling Ei all about it.

Though they both understood the concept of erosion well, Makoto was unlike Ei, who worried about the future more often. Instead, Makoto's energies were focused on the present.

"It is precisely because we know that this scene is but a fleeting shadow that we should enjoy it all the more."

Then, Ei could only smile wryly, realizing that she, the kagemusha, was even more old-fashioned than the real Raiden Shogun. She thought to herself that she must learn to be more leisurely, just like Makoto.

Yet the times changed all too quickly, all but catching Ei off guard. Before she knew it, her hands already held the blade that the dying Raiden Makoto had passed on to her.

This day, the kagemusha was now the true Raiden Shogun.

And it was on this day that Ei truly felt the agony of erosion.

As time marched forward inexorably, even this blade, this sakura... All life on Inazuma would fade before her eyes.

This was the foundation of Inazuma, and it was the thing that the Raiden Shogun must defend.

"If you look at it this way, thinking ahead is not meaningless, nor is it vain arrogance."

Having resolved herself, her life exceeded its mortal shell, and eternity descended upon the mortal plane.
Character Story 5
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 6
One night, Raiden Ei entered a beautiful dreamscape while meditating.

Here, there was nothing left between heaven and earth but her, and a "her" that was akin to looking into a mirror.

The automaton's voice flowed into her ears like a sigh: "the eternity you resolved to establish in your heart has been shaken by the countless wishes of the people. Thus, you have become my enemy."

Back when she was creating the puppet, Ei had considered all the hidden risks involved.

She believed that anything was possible — including the worst-case scenario... in which she too would someday become a threat to Eternity.

But she had to press on. She had to reach Eternity. This, she would not permit to be stayed by any outside force.

The puppet's words were something that she had asked herself long ago:

"You believe that you are more firmly convicted now than you were yesterday, and that is why you are presently correct. Is that so?"

"Do you presently have some new ideas, or have you, too, fallen victim to inexorable 'erosion'?"

Their faces were the same, but they spoke of different ideals. The battle with herself, with her past, would come someday.

But it was not this day. Ei knew well that she was not yet ready.

Her heart was clear, and she would have remained in that state, but hearing the cries of her people, she had to command her feet to stop.

The sky above the mirror was no longer empty, and all about the silent halls, she heard the cry of crows. Dawn was coming. The samurai must take up her sword.

This dream was ever so real, and it, too, passed like a shadow.
Musou Isshin
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 4
A sword that, once passed on, has accompanied Ei to this day.

This sword has had two wielders, and has witnessed both time and eternity.

It was born from Raiden Makoto's divine might, but it was never once sharpened. It took after its owner, of course, for Makoto was not one for battle. It was but a symbol, a sign of true peace.

The day Makoto passed on, it was given into Ei's hands. The sword was stained with blood, then, and as the blade drew its first taste of crimson, it was blown aside by wild winds and blazing thunder.

Makoto gave it the name Musou Isshin, and desired to have it witness an Inazuma as lovely as a dream and the noble hearts that dwell in this world.

Ei did not change its name. For she, too, had looked out over that vast scene of beauty, and the sight of it had engendered a stronger, purer dream in her own heart.

The aesthetic of lightning is precisely to capture that which is precious amidst fleeting transience.
Gnosis
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 6
Before she came to dwell in the Plane of Euthymia permanently, Ei was troubled for a time concerning where she might store her Gnosis.

She no longer had any need of it, but such an important item could not simply be placed anywhere. She had initially intended to have it modified into a energy supply device, but no matter what she did, her techniques had no effect on the Gnosis at all.

And that was when she thought of someone: the cunning and clever Yae Miko. She was not precisely someone to be trusted, but she was in many ways also Ei's best choice.

Upon hearing this request, Miko could not help but joke: "Aren't you afraid that I might just sell this off?"

"You understand the value of a Gnosis. Even if you sold it, I trust that you would have exchanged it for something of equal value, and that is no easy price to pay."

With someone of Yae Miko's character, it would be no surprise if she ever sold the Gnosis, yes, but she would not allow herself to lose out in any such exchange.

Such, then, was the tacit agreement between the two old friends. Yae Miko understood Ei's intent and took the precious Gnosis with a smile.

"Well, this is your idea, not mine. Don't end up regretting this, now."

you need C2 if you intend to see her personal DPS shine. Without it, she’s just childe lv of hard carry but without xiangling. Which is average to say the least.
Otherwise, pray that mihoyo will eventually re-enable raiden-beidou. Raiden beidou really feels a lot like childe xiangling, a very very strong pair, but mihoyo just can’t hold themselves back from being greedy to force C2 sales.
C0 raiden feels super awkward because her real strength lies not in her personal DPS, but in her strong support capability. But that support capability is so fcking scuffed right now, as there’s no off-field DPS that can utilize her optimally other than xinqiu alone. And xinqiu is married to so many women and men alike… hutao, xiangling, keqing, succrose, klee, yoimiya, diluc, dps bennett, almost all freeze team, just to name a few. Now he’s married to raiden too? Adding xiangling for raiden national just add one more problem, that is overload. Good for fighting huge enemies with infinite poise, but good luck against anything else. Even with all those, raiden’s energy battery capability is only average for non electro units because it’s a measly 24-27 energy at max for non electro, further lowering her value as universal battery support.

Anyway, C2 raiden increases her DPS by 52%. Yes, you read that right.
So if your burst cast does 50k dmg now, at C2 it’ll become over 75k just by owning C2.
If your C0 raiden is at her max investment and does 70k burst cast dmg, at C2 she will do over 110k dmg.
C3 increses her personal DPS by an insane 78% more. Which is even more predatory than it already is.
At C3, your max invested raiden will do over 130k dmg instead of a measly 70k.
And instead of 7k to 11k per hit, your C3 raiden will do 13k to 20k per hit.
Now instead of being locked as an awkward support that’s praying for a future off-field electro DPS with over the top burst, she can just wipe everything off the planet as the hard carry for your team. TBH other than yae, idk who could possibly be that precise. And I wouldn’t even bet anything on yae being off-field dps with over the top burst. If yae ended up as anything else, another hard carry or another support, then GG, all hope is lost.

If you think that’s predatory and doesn’t justify the disabling of raiden-beidou interaction, then join the cause to protest against mihoyo.
Or if you don’t care or actually want that kind of bullshittery to happen again in the future, go ahead and roll for C2 or C3. And oh, only if you got the excess money to do it of course, don’t blame me if you ended up losing your monthly rent for raiden rerun.

If you already got C0 raiden right now, then consider it like this… you’re buying crypto currency. Pray for that value raise in the future. Pray for yae. That’s it from me, and good luck. There’s nothing wrong with your raiden, it’s just the way it is with her C0. OP dps raiden you saw must’ve been C2+ or with bloated unrealistic buffs.

You are wrong about some of the things, like

        > overload is a problem
It’s absolutely not. Her charged attacks have a pretty long range. Medium-sized enemies aren’t flying away that far and the small ones, like hilichurls, won’t even survive the initial explosion in most cases.
        > C3 increases her personal DPS by 78% more
It’s not “more”, it’s total increase over C0, including the first two constellations. C3 is a 15% increase.

But yeah, i can’t argue with the fact that her carry branch is hard locked behind C2 and how much it sucks. Characters should always have a complete kit at C0.

As for the OP, aya, – dude, you could’ve at least post your build’s numbers. We aren’t mind-readers here, maybe you are running her with 3* spear and 30%/60% crits for all i know.

I perform specific attack string with raiden to maximize her DPS on burst.
triple N3CA + N1CA (the highest frame counted DPS for raiden for so many reasons including hit lag extension)

if I had to use dash to catch enemies up, I’ll mess this string up and ended up doing less DPS up to 30% less, which is sucks fkking cock.
so if I fight anything that doesn’t have infinite poise, then my DPS plummets and those overloads ended up as liability instead of bonus.
Due to that reason I run raiden exclusively without xiangling. I run Eula Raiden Xinqiu Beidou, which is a fcking torture to my soul for so many reasons.
Eula benefits from both raiden and beidou, but the 2 are not compatible at all and my soul is screaming, especially every single time I had to restart due to eula not doing crit or enemies blinked at the last moment before her burst pops… that team is so fcking strong, but it’s absolutely fcking stressful, just remembering it makes me so fcking mad…. sorry for the outburst.
I just ditch em in favor of morgana and I never looked back.

for the C3, the example I gave does reflect it that way. C3 raiden is only 15% more than previous constellation, but if I said it that way, it might sounds misleading because it’s 78% more than C0 and the 15% is multiplicative, not additive. 78%-52% is not 15% after all. Sorry if that confuses anyone.

            • DPS calcs in a vacuum are cancer on 19 November 2021 at 2:11 pm

“I perform specific attack string with raiden to maximize her DPS”
That’s literally on-paper dps calculations. You should do what the current battle requires you to do, not chasing the imaginary “perfect scenario” rotations.

Yeah, they’ve locked her DPS behind consts and it’s scummy but at least she only needs C3 to unlock the full damage potential. Eula’s C6 is almost a 100% increase and she isn’t that great at C0 either.

my man be like “constellations be predatory for damage dealers.” when day one the entire purpose of constellations was to increase the characters damage. this has been done for Diluc, for ningguang, and several dozen characters. but its a problem when its done for raiden because… reasons. its only scummy when its done for raiden for reasons you refuse to specify.

also “she’s bad at c0” is a red flag considering the actual people who invest way more time in the game than you completely disagree on that point. literal theory crafters say you’re full of crap.

I don’t think you should compare her to main dps characters.
Raiden Shogun is a support/sub dps hybrid. She deals solid damage during her burst, but she won’t reach stellar levels unless you highly invest in her and also get constellations.
Thing is: while dealing solid damage she also provides off-field damage with her skill AND increases burst damage for all your team AND makes burst rotation faster with her energy regeneration.
My Raiden (C0 with R5 Catch, so nothing special there) with a sub-par build is doing more than fine, really. I honestly don’t see why some people call her bad (i know the arguments, but i find them exagerated)

tbf raiden at C0 isn’t really comparable to main dps characters like the liyue big 3 (ganyu, hu tao, xiao) or ayaka, instead she’s an energy support unit with a decent burst damage window. however, to make her really shine (at C0) requires a lot of endgame investment, high talent levels (8-9 ult level at minimum imo), good artifacts, R5 Catch etc

at around that investment level, most C0 raidens should deal about 60k+ with her initial slash with R5 Catch + 4P Emblem, max resolve stacks and her E buff (no other external buffs or resistance shred) which is honestly pretty damn good for a support with a 7s burst window.

at lower investments she definitely feels lacking though, which can feel like she’s subpar as a damage dealer (especially since her burst makes you THINK that she should be hitting a lot harder then it actually is with how showy the animations are)

TLDR; shes a unit you cant really half-ass invest in and still perform (unlike zhongli or venti) so requires a lot of resources, but once you get there shes a very comfy unit in the teams she has a place in 🙂

For those who doesn’t know about it:

raiden worked with beidou in beta, making her very very strong pick as a c0, especially with her defense ignore being a c4 that’s impossible for 99% of genshin players.
mihoyo sees raiden as a major potential to gain money, so they can’t settle with making her good at c0. So they start doing the unthinkable, the good ol’ psychological manipulation and nerfs.
1st, they remove her interaction with beidou. This is a panic move as they forgot to change the descriptions even after release. They change her descriptions POST-RELEASE, but somehow they got away with it.
But that won’t be enough, because c4 is too much of a cost, so they do the good ol’ psychological manipulation trick by moving it to c2, making it “seems reachable”.
The result speaks for itself. The gullible player base even defended mihoyo, basically doing their PR job for them.
Raiden-beidou justice movement lost it’s traction, and forever lost in the abyss.

    Why raiden is top tier:
c2 is broken. C2 turn her from C tier character, to an S tier hard carry.
Roll for it if you either,
    1. Have the financial excess to waste, or
    2. Want to support the moral bankruptcy done by mihoyo

oh I wish you had rolled for her to see bigger regret coming from you.

to get a great character like raiden, but to realize that her greatness is locked behind future characters that can utilize her optimally.

I mean, raiden is good, don’t get me wrong. She’s a genuinely great electro battery that can function as the hard carry for the off-field support team.
All she need is a good electro character that function as an off-field dps support with high value high cost elemental burst.

the only problem is that, the only character that fits her role that well, is beidou, and mihoyo is deliberately removing that to force c2 sales.

the other 2 existing characters that can use her optimally (xiangling & xinqiu) are not even electro, and one have the weakness of triggering overload which is a nightmare reaction for melee units since it launch the enemies far away from you, making you lose dps.

Raiden is great potentially, but owning her right now, like I do, make me regret wasting my primogem since there’s almost no use for her potential.
I can always wait for her re-run to hopefully get that new character that can utilize her by then.

But as of now, I can’t roll on hutao rerun cause I’m lacking primogem I need since I spent it all on raiden. Sad life, so much regret.

            So, I repeat.
RAIDEN IS A GOOD CHARACTER. SHE IS C TIER NOT BECAUSE SHE IS BAD, BUT BECAUSE SHE IS A GREAT CHARACTER THAT HAVE A SPECIFIC USE WHICH DOESN’T YET EXISTS OPTIMALLY.
With added caveat of supporting atrocious act committed by mihoyo.

What have you done to call theory crafting as bullshit?
Theory crafters have helped hundreds of thousands of players from wasting their money.
On the other hand, you, what have you done?
I bet you’ve helped the others into wasting their money.

I get it, admitting own’s mistake is hard. Knowing that you wasted money or primos on bad characters doesn’t feel good.
But once people get past that denial, and are willing to change, they start to make better judgement and ultimately save more money/primo for the game.
Either that, or one doubles down on their mistake and goes deeper into the rabbit hole of madness, exacerbating it by influencing other into the same mistake you do to make yourself feels good.

As of now, I can only see you as the part of the problem. The part that enables mihoyo into keep committing more and more atrocity they did on raiden-beidou.
Defend yourself as you will, but people are not dumb enough to be on your side, which is the wrong side.

C0 raiden isn’t bad. Who said that raiden is bad?
She’s a good character that requires 80 energy cost (preferably electro) characters that do massive high valued off-field dps with their burst.

The problem is that, there’s a grand total of 3 characters that meet such condition.
        Xiangling
        Xinqiu
        Beidou

And raiden’s non electro energy generation is less than desirable to say the least.
It’s her electro particle generation that’s insanely good.
And guess who’s the only character that fits her that well?
        Yes, beidou.

Without raiden-beidou interaction, she’s C tier because of missed opportunity and the lack of characters that can utilize her.
It also doesn’t help that xiangling and xinqiu benefit more from a VV shredder (kazuha/succrose) than from raiden, since optimizing their own DPS is much more valuable than adding raiden’s DPS that overloads the enemies and throw them off away from the AOE, resulting in DPS loss.

Say, you have a powerful bullet that can penetrate through anything with ease. But there’s no gun that can fire it efficiently nor safely.
And the only gun that’s capable of doing that can’t trigger the bullet.
Would you say that bullet as good? No.

And even worse, mihoyo did it by purpose to force her C2 sales cause C2 remove that limited and turn her into a straight up monster.

Be very careful of what you’re talking about especially when you have zero idea about it.
In your case, you’re defending an atrocious act by mihoyo and you’re thinking that you’re doing the right thing.
Think before making a comment. And in your case, think twice. Or thrice.

Will raiden be as good as she potentially could in the future?
Perhaps, but I wouldn’t count on it. Why?
Because look at the 4 stars mihoyo have released outside of the initial release 4 stars characters.
Mihoyo will never release another strong over the top off-field DPS like xiangling xinqiu and beidou ever again.
Doing so would make the character useful, increasing the pool of strong 4 stars characters, thus reducing player’s incentive to roll for 5 stars characters.
That is a bad move marketing wise.
As for future 5 stars, it’s also of little hope.
5 stars and off-field dps are not a good match marketing wise. It won’t sale as much as main DPS or support role, which have been the go-to solution by mhy so far.
And don’t forget, it have to be an electro character too to be optimal, which is a chance I wouldn’t take if my life depends on it.

so let me get this straight. because Beidou and raiden isn’t a thing. you place Raiden so low on most tier lists that she’s akin.. to lisa? are you even remote using Raiden right? or are you spewing shit out your ass. dont even need to answer that. since when do honey hunter comments do anything else really.

as someone who’s used her day 1. i can tell you beidou-raiden interaction isn’t needed. she stands high enough on her own merit. and your issue is trying to force Raiden to comply with very specific meta-comps. but i guess thats all that matters to meta-slaves at the end of the day. Try eula, or Tartaglia instead, or hey. how about Yoimiya. i know, outlandish decisions when you could just use Hu-tao or Ganyu. but it helps to actually think outside your comfort zone a bit.

you’d have a decent argument here, if it wasn’t obvious what you were doing. in your case your issue is you’re not even remotely using the bullet with the proper guns or thinking “hey, maybe i should try this comp instead of hamfisting this character into another comp that doesn’t support it.” its akin to jamming a large caliber bullet into a pistol hoping it’ll work. and then promptly blaming the bullet for your ineptitude at making the proper comps for this character. which is why whenever i see you comment on a character i immediately dismiss it. you barely if ever have anything important to say aside from “this character is bad because of this particular reason that actually has no bearing on her.”

          Source.

its always the most funniest shit when people spouting bull say this. without any sort of self-awareness. and its funnier that NOW we’re choosing to bitch about constellations when their entire purpose from the very first day, was to make characters stronger. why is this suddenly now an issue? is it because of your own ineptitude at putting said character in other comps?

So you’re a doomposter fueled by ineptitude. that makes a lot of sense now.
Counter argument. Kokomi and her new set. sizeable dps boost and has helped with the Qiqi issue as well. i get it, you like to doompost but you need actual evidence that this is the path thats going to be done. not just some conspiratorial bullshit with no overarching evidence supporting it. “Mihoyo has released a bunch of niche 4-stars. CLEARLY this means what i think it means.” not saying this means mihoyo has your best interests at heart because since when do companies ever. but you need evidence.

Like every Archon, this is a fantastic unit, but you need to know how to build her. Thankfully, she’s really easy to build. Like, Zhongli levels of easy, seriously.

Two things to make your Raiden into the omni-battery pseudo DPS she deserves to be

    1. She needs 4 stats, ordered by priority: ER, Atk, Crit rate and Crit damage. Anything else is a junk stat, is the reason we need artifact rerolling, and should be burned in a fire. Yes, even Electro bonus
Why the draconian approach to stats? Because her A4 passive grants her Electro DMG bonus and extra energy refund from her ult based on her ER. with 300% or so ER, you will have more energy generation than a turbo Fischl (R.I.P.) and more Element bonus than a Kazuha could give you. With her ult accounted for, you can easily refund a majority of your teams’ ult costs off cooldown, including her own 90 cost burst!!!

    2. weapons: I know not everyone is as lucky as me for having engulfing lightning, which almost removes the need for Atk entirely, so here’s two really good options
The catch: ER substat, makes her ult even stronger, ’nuff said
Favonius: if you’re not one for Bass Pro Shops’ Fishing Sim World, here’s an alternative, the drawback is the low base Atk and need for Crit rate, otherwise the high ER is a selling point

-Dmg amp that works in any comp that isnt phys or geo or Xiao
-CC that benefits ALL characters and not just ranged chars unlike Venti’s retarded lift off
-Absurd dmg even as an EM support with low cd to top it all off
-VV shreds MULTIPLE resistances (he can shred both pyro and electro res in an overload comp where as Venti CANNOT) at the same time with how he can easily control what to swirl

Tl;dr Venti is only better in the early game when you face off garbage mobs otherwise he loses to Kazuha in the endgame by a mile. There is only a measly few content where Venti does better than him so you saying Kazuha is overrated is just false, you just don’t want to admit that your precious femboi archon is less useful in the end game

Only characters who can duplicate these results are ayaka and hutao.
Ganyu seem to cry in corner

i like how rather than provide, idk, a good argument with math to prove me wrong. the only thing you can say is “haha copium overdose”. as if that doesn’t scream to the world how horribly misinformed and delusional you are.

like, who am i going to believe, you screaming and ranting that she’s bad without any sort of math or evidence? or the final verdict of theory crafters who know how good she actually is?

Nope c0 should have been too tier if they haven’t removed raiden-beidou interaction. However, she definitely not a top tier, xiangling carried her. It’s ironic people(content creators) sh*t on childe for xiangling to carry him but when it happens to other characters, they just ignore

            • Punlist on 27 November 2021 at 8:15 pm

it bears repeating, see what i mean?
without beidou interaction, she’s still top-tier.

and how tf did xiangling carry her exactly? most folks hate overload with a god damn passion. and most theory crafters dont even use her with xiangling.

like man, just say you have a hate-boner and go.

The worst part about Raiden is that her C2 is the main reason why they will never buff electro. Mihoyo (and their brainless simps) will be like: “look, she does 300k solo already! Buffing electro will literally break the game! Powercreep! Powercreep!”

    Pathetic.

If the only way for you to use an elemental reaction is to see big damages, maybe the main problem here is you? Electro reactions are not the best one ingame and no one will contest that, but it’s the same for Geo/Anemo reactions. Those reactions are made for support, not for pure damage. If you can’t understand that and have to whine about a buff like a crybaby, the “pathetic” or “brainless” one is you. Keep playing Pyro/Cryo/Hydro character if you find the electro ones that bad in a game which isn’t even supposed to be challenging by essence.

        • raiden isnt weak, its just electro thats really bad on 16 September 2021 at 1:30 am

actually anemo can do swirl damage, such as kazuha and his swirl damage is insane. also venti’s ult deals a ton of damage when enemies group together, especially when you apply typical elements in there. vv set is literally one of the most broken artifact set in the entire game, and it can shred elemental res by 40%. anemo are far from being useless, but geo and electro reactions are actually really bad.

Lol. First of all, anemo can deal damage. In fact, it can shred and destroy enemies with ease. Venti, Kazuha, and Sucrose can take down the whole open world just by Swirl alone.

Geo, as long you use the correct resonance and artifact set, can be used for both defense and offense. “Increase damage while shielded” is definitely not a joke.

The guy was just stating fact: electro is a joke element and should not be compared with those two. You being so butt-hurt about it only clarifies the little amount of neurons in Mihoyo’s simps brain such as you.

IKR. Even famous theorycrafters use the “high damage scaling” on characters to justify the lack of electro as element. The fuck is that.

Cryo, it’s good already as element, and there’s ganyu, eula, and ayaka with their insane dmg multiplier.
Anemo, it’s good as a support element already, and there’s xiao with insane raw damage.
Electro? It’s shit as element, and yes, some characters have huge dmg scaling just like i mentioned before. But that doesn’t justify the lack of electro as an element.

I wondering, do they theorycrafters got something from mihoyo for telling this shit? It’s either threat or treat, i guess.

Instead of poking leakers, mhy should’ve used their time and think that high/low tide is possibly the worst leyline to advertise raiden.

I have been using Eula, Ei, Xinqiu and Diona. Been working well for me since Xinqiu Dmg Reduction makes Dionas Shield tanky and his Burst benefits nicely from Ei elemental skill buff.

I feel like this is just a publicity stunt to get people talking about Genshin Impact. Think about it this is a million dollar company they can spend some money to get stronger security so leaks wouldn’t happen.

Haven’t really participated in this discussion, but I noticed nobody’s been mentioning the Raiden KQM guide. I do notice that it only shows up on the KQM site for me on mobile, so maybe people just haven’t seen it yet. Figured I’d leave it here and whichever side you’re on, hopefully it will help you gain a better understanding of Raiden. I am interested to hear people’s thoughts on it.
