Inuzaka All-Round Defense
Deals AoE Geo DMG and sets up a General's War Banner.
General's War Banner
Provides up to 3 buffs to active characters within the skill's AoE based on the number of Geo characters in the party at the time of casting:
• 1 Geo character: Adds "Standing Firm" - DEF Bonus.
• 2 Geo characters: Adds "Impregnable" - Increased resistance to interruption.
• 3 Geo characters: Adds "Crunch" - Geo DMG Bonus.
Gorou can deploy only 1 General's War Banner on the field at any one time. Characters can only benefit from 1 General's War Banner at a time. When a party member leaves the field, the active buff will last for 2s.
Hold
Adjust the location of the skill.
"Take up this formation and we'll be safe — I guarantee it!" As a general and a leader of troops, the last thing Gorou wants is to see is those who follow him getting hurt.

Juuga: Forward Unto Victory
Displaying his valor as a general, Gorou deals AoE Geo DMG and creates a field known as General's Glory to embolden his comrades.
General's Glory
This field has the following properties:
• Like the General's War Banner created by Inuzaka All-Round Defense, provides buffs to active characters within the skill's AoE based on the number of Geo characters in the party. Also moves together with your active character.
• Generates 1 Crystal Collapse every 1.5s that deals AoE Geo DMG to 1 opponent within the skill's AoE.
• Pulls 1 elemental shard in the skill's AoE to your active character's position every 1.5s (elemental shards are created by Crystallize reactions).
If a General's War Banner created by Gorou currently exists on the field when this ability is used, it will be destroyed. In addition, for the duration of General's Glory, Gorou's Elemental Skill "Inuzaka All-Round Defense" will not create the General's War Banner.
If Gorou falls, the effects of General's Glory will be cleared.
"We have the high ground!" Gorou can ever so slightly change the terrain of the battlefield to help win victory. This technique has seen him through many battles against seemingly superior opposition.

About Gorou: Top Dog
Huh? "Top Dog Gorou"? Where did you hear that? *sigh* To be honest, I've grown quite close with my fellow officers, and always share any good news I might have with them. In private, they've all started calling me Top Dog out of respect... But in terms of age, they are all my seniors.

About Gorou: Advice
The troops seem to picture me as someone of extraordinary abilities — I think it might be because of our streak of victories lately. Now they always come to me for advice on even the most trivial matters. When I see the expectant look in their eyes, it's impossible for me to turn them away, but at the same time, my strategic ability is limited... All I can do is give some general pointers, or failing that, respond based on my gut feeling alone. *sigh* I just hope I'm not letting them down.

About Us: Camaraderie
We train together, eat together, and relax together. There's no better way to strengthen communication and build tacit understanding between everyone on the team. About the Vision
My Vision amplifies my abilities in battle. It allows me to take greater responsibility on the battlefield and forge a way forward for the troops. Something to Share: Dressed for Battle
I don't like to enter battle wearing lots of heavy equipment. I travel light, that's my style. My strength is in moving quickly around the battlefield, seeking out opportunities to take control of the fight. I always target the strongest warriors first to weaken the enemy's morale.

About Sangonomiya Kokomi: Attitude
I have only the utmost respect for Her Excellency. Without her ingenious and insightful strategies, the resistance could never have come as far as it has today. About Kujou Sara
I have nothing good to say about the Shogun's Army, but Kujou Sara is perhaps the most honorable officer among their ranks. I may not have superior cunning or intelligence, but what I do have is my own two hands and my life to lay on the line. Countless battles in, I'm still here, so I guess these hands and my will to survive were both strong enough to see me through. Some even say that no matter how dire the battle may be, everyone will emerge unscathed as long as they follow me. And with that, I've somehow gained enough reputation among our forces to become the leader that I am now.

My favorites are cake and Tricolor Dango, probably because I seldom get the chance to enjoy the luxury of sweets. It's probably the most precious commodity of all. Ah, what can I say — I guess I just have a sweet tooth!

Character Details
Gorou is the great general of Watatsumi Island's military, and he is deeply loved by his subordinates.

During the period of the Vision Hunt Decree, Gorou led the forces of Watatsumi against the Shogun's Army, and successfully held the line against them.

The troops call him the "ever-victorious pointy-eared general," a nickname that has also seen broad use among Shogunate warriors.

In private, however, Gorou puts on no airs and is a straightforward person, which has led him to be regarded by all as the man with the plan.

But even such an exemplary general must have his fair share of troubles...
Character Story 1
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 2
Gorou was once an ordinary Watatsumi soldier.

During a certain special operation, Gorou's unit, Gorgasia II, faced an unprecedented crisis.

Their captain had been felled by a stray arrow, and the survivors were surrounded deep in the mountains.

To continue their mission, to ask for reinforcements, to open negotiations with the enemy... Countless choices lay before them, but the mountain was silent.

Leaderless and without any supplies, the unit was on its last legs. With their morale flagging, thoughts of surrender shrouded many minds.

At this critical moment, Gorou stood up. He rejected negotiation and surrender, and instead proposed a bold plan.

They would not hide any longer. Instead, he would lead the larger part of the platoon in a feigned attack to buy the others a chance to call for reinforcements. Once those reinforcements arrived, they could perform a pincer attack together.

When asked what they should do if they failed, Gorou replied:

"If the enemy surrounds us any further, our options will be even more limited. The way I see it, we still have a chance, so we've got to give it all we've got."

"I'll take responsibility if the plan fails."

After holding the line for several days without rest, the exhausted Gorou and his companions were finally relieved by a force led by Sangonomiya Kokomi herself.

After that, he was promoted to serve as the captain of Gorgasia II, and from there he would work his way up to the rank of General.
Character Story 2
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 3
In the eyes of the men, Gorou is a strict but humble general.

He is straightforward and easy-going, and he treats his subordinates like his own family, sharing weal and woe with them.

Sangonomiya Kokomi once told Gorou that materiel, supplies, and salaries were the three most important things to an army.

From that day on, he would personally explain weapon maintenance to his subordinates. Every time the granaries were opened, he would supervise the process strictly to prevent any unlawful deductions.

And as General Gorou, he will always lead from the front.

The sight of him charging at the tip of the spear is like a rallying banner, encouraging the troops behind him to continue advancing.

These are all reasons why the troops greatly respect him. As with Kokomi, Gorou greatly treasures the lives of his troops, but by contrast, values his own quite little.

Some who understand little of the thought process behind this occasionally joke that Gorou is a "kid" who doesn't seem like a general at all.

But to the soldiers of Watatsumi Island, this kid is the best general they could ask for.
Character Story 3
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 4
Gorou is valiant and decisive, often leading inferior forces to victory over superior opposition.

However, he does have a shortcoming of his own — a sometimes unstable temper.

That is to say that the blood sometimes rushes to his head at the height of a battle.

War is cruel, and Gorou does indeed lack experience compared to veterans who have been scrapping it out on battlefields for decades.

Fortunately, he learns fast and is currently trying to make up for his various small failings.

Sangonomiya Kokomi often provides her various commanders with directives, but how they are used is up to the skill of the commander in question.

For his part, Gorou is always able to execute the courses of action that best suit the present situation from the directives he has been given.

Gorou believes that over time, he will come to internalize the concepts behind them. Perhaps then, he can take the field with even more confidence than before.
Character Story 4
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 5
At Yae Miko's request, Gorou has taken up a certain extra "job" at Yae Publishing House.

With the end of the Vision Hunt Decree, and the successful negotiations between Watatsumi Island and the Shogunate, relations between the two sides are beginning to warm.

Gorou has also visited Narukami Island quite a few times to check out the changes, buy a few popular books, and go to Yae Publishing House to complete the task he agreed to help with.

Yae Miko set up an anonymous column for Gorou in the "That's Life" magazine. Here, readers will write about the things that trouble them and send them to Yae Publishing House, upon which Gorou will give them some suggestions.

Yae Publishing House will take special care to redact any personal information revealed on the part of the write-ins or Gorou's replies, and will replace real names with pseudonyms.

According to Yae Miko, she chose him because she'd heard that he often listened to his subordinates when they chatted about personal matters.

The column proved to be very popular indeed, but for whatever reason, every time an editor delivers the royalties to Gorou, they might sheepishly ask:

"Ah, speaking of which, Gorou, have you heard of Ms. Hina?"

"I've heard that she's a rather popular columnist, and a recent one, too. Is something the matter?"

"Oh, no, no... It's nothing..."
Character Story 5
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 6
Just as the troops don't exactly tell Gorou everything happening in their lives, Gorou, too, has some troubles that are difficult to share.

For example, how his tail fur starts to get dull and look haggard after being exposed to the elements for too long, and how he'd love to tend to it — if he could only spare the time out in the field.

Or how he sometimes feels a bit inferior about his slight physique when bathing together with his subordinates.

Or about how encountering inscrutable women like Yae Miko sends him into defense mode instantly, rendering him unable to properly interact with them...

In trying to maintain a respectable image, Gorou refrains from telling his soldiers about such troubles.

And while they have been able to guess at his troubles to some extent, the Watatsumi soldiers often just play along and pretend that they don't notice.

As such, his worries just kept piling up, until the Traveler arrived, thus granting the Watatsumi general, ever good at banishing the worries of others, someone who could help relieve him of his own woes.
Mountaineering Gear
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 4
Of Gorou's various hobbies, "mountaineering" is likely up there in the top three.

Sweating it out while climbing a mountain with companions before admiring the beauty all around you helps to train both the mind and body and is a great camaraderie-builder.

To better enjoy this hobby of his, Gorou bought a set of mountaineering gear from a traveling merchant.

The set is not particularly pricey, but it is both sturdy and durable and has seen Gorou through many dangerous ascents.

Just as he maintains his weapons well, Gorou has also kept this set of gear in tip-top shape. There is little doubt that it will accompany him through many future journeys as well.
Vision
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 6
There was a time when Gorou ascribed responsibility for victory or loss in battle entirely to himself.

"If only I became a little stronger, perhaps I'd be able to turn the tide."

It was in this spirit that Gorou trained his archery day and night, hoping to rely on his strength to lead his comrades to victory.

But after some time on the battlefield, Gorou saw powerful warriors being isolated and captured alive, while weak troops in inferior positions could rout their enemies through unity.

That was when Gorou realized that a single person's battlefield capabilities are limited.

Getting stronger is important, naturally, but uniting the troops to fight as one is even more crucial.

A troop can only be unbeatable if they are strong together.

Having realized this, Gorou no longer pursued the apex of excellence in archery, but instead invested time and effort in those around him, helping everyone improve together.

Thinking back on it, this may have opened the door for Gorou to obtain his Vision.

ahhh he wont fit my team… i originally wanted him to buff zhongli bc im a zhongli main and brain go googoogaga over new characters that might buff him but i dont think im willing to sacrifice my pyro reso for a mono geo team…. sigh

Who are you using as your second pyro support? If they’re just existing for the pyro resonance you can definitely replace them with Gorou, but you’ll just want c6 on him more.

What’s so bad about his kit? He gives flat dense, def%, resistance to interruption, geo dmg bonus, healing at c4, crit dmg for geo at c6. Everything except the healing/def% will be provided at 100% uptime. About the 3 geo requirement for maximum buffs, it’s not absolutely necessary if you want him to work on different teams. Prolly should give other comments a read, that’ll answer your question.

To me it is bad mainly because there is little room for flexibility. He buffs defense, which is currently good for very for characters, and he’s only good with geo, and we currently don’t have many geo units. He also is made to be strictly support it seems, which I dislike. I like support characters like fischl that are also viable damage dealers, gorous kit makes him nothing more than a buff for a few characters that can benefit from it. Again, just my opinion. I’m holding out hope that the beta testers will convince them to change it but I’m doubtful.

I have a main comment (page 4) here that talks ticks off your concerns about his inflexibility and damage. but I’ll still address some of the points made (but greatly shortened). I’ll restate that he’s not as inflexible as he seems, I’ve made a point here before that a lot of the comps that can work/run double geo resonance can use Gorou as a replacement for one of the geo slots.

          Ex:
          -Xiao, anemo, geo, Gorou
          -Keqing, Kazuha/Bennet, geo, Gorou
-Cryo main dps (Ganyu/Ayaka), cryo/hydro, geo, Gorou
          – Hu tao, Xingiu, geo, Gorou (or literally replace Hu tao with any pyro carry and replace Xingqiu with Sucrose/Kazuha as needed)
          – and more

I’m not mememing with these comps, these are perfectly viable to 36 star the current rotation as people, including me, have ran double geo variants of these before. Doing a Gorou replacement will yield the same results. 4pc Archaic Petra/Noblesse will make him a viable buffer for these teams to. Xiao will particularly love Gorou by making him tankier with the addition of healing at c4.

Him primarily buffing geo is the entire point of his kit, it’s to make geo more competitive (if he was a general buffer, he’d be compared to bennet, etc.). As Kujou Sara is to electro, Gorou is to Geo. He’ll fulfill his niche well. There’s really no point in them making him into a geo dps since we have Arataki Itto being released in the same update (Ningguang existing in the same field too, who’s a monster at c6).

Also, it’s a misconception that Gorou does no dmg. Quick sum: he’ll be either doing a little less than half or more than half of Albedo’s off field dmg depending on certain factors: will his e buff himself, your constells, and having the new artifact set. Rough estimate: 7k-13k per hit from general glory (6-8 hits depending if you have c2). This is aoe dmg btw, and without any external buffs.

Now he’ll still do less off field dps compared to a c6 Fischl, but he makes up for it with buffing + healing at c4, and his dmg isn’t negligible.

All i ever wanted to do was make a resistance team with kokomi gorou kazuha + idk who else, but it looks like he’ll only work in specific geo comps. Sadge.

If you run double geo with Kokomi it can work. Gorou will make Kokomi tankier than she already is which would be funny, and he’ll nearly maximize her resistance to interruption during her ult. The issue is there’s no other geo resistance character, but if you really want him to work with Kokomi and Kazuha, him and Albedo will work well with them. If you don’t have Albedo you don’t really have another flexible second geo slot that’ll work well with them other than Zhongli. Alternatively, you can just use Gorou as is with 4pc Archaic Petra and scooch in Beidou as your 4th member, she also fought with the resistance after all. The big issue with this team is energy management, you’ll probably be forced to use Favonius weapons on two of the supports.

Is it strange that I am more excited to see how Gorou turns out on release over Itto? Kinda like that whole thing of how we already know that Itto will hurt things and his similarities with Noelle kinda already tells us that he will be a alright character already. So far Gorou is just being viewed as nothing more than a pure support which don’t get me wrong he kinda is but his buffs count for himself soooooooo kinda makes me wonder with his lower scaling how his buffs might lean him more dps worthy if geared right. Might just be a little hopeful on him having more potential than whats being seen on paper but I look forward to maining this geo doggo :3
Good luck to all you for any future pulls you may do!!! <3

-Local specialties minimap passive! I’ve been waiting for a character with that passive for Inazuma!
-Come on, he’s a puppy that summons a puppy. Does anything more really need to be said??
(I also have a perfect Geo cup with crit rate crit damage and defense percentage substats, it’ll be nice to have someone to use it on, rather than have it languish in my inventory)

A lot of people complaining that he’s too niche as if that’s a bad thing lmao. like childe is locked on only being usable with either beidou or xiangling does that make him bad? gorou is a 4 star meaning he literally is free you don’t have to spend actual money to try and get him and just like kokomi you can literally just skip him / ignore building him if u don’t want to use itto too. like did y’all build xinyan, amber, and Lisa?? just because you get to pull him doesn’t mean you need to use him??.

swear to God the people complaining about gorou here are the same ones trashing kazuha cause y’all can’t read how a support character works and their purpose lmao. save your complaints for trash kits like kokomis to actual limited 5 star characters, not irrelevant 4 stars.

as a albedo enjoyer i agree with you gorou is underwhelming, no reason to use him except the geo dmg bonus scales up, but no. its just stays at 15% bruh , should go all the way into atleast 50%

            • Albedo enjoyer who? on 19 October 2021 at 8:57 am

I can’t reply to Albedo enjoyer directly apparently.

I wonder if they’re just baiting, I’ll bite though. On this topic, Not a mihoyo employee is probably just baiting, clearly ignoring other aspects of Gorou’s kit in his arguments such as ascension passives. Also, I disagree with their statement that Gorou himself will do no dmg, but I’m not going to talk about that rn. Anyways, back to Albedo enjoyer-

As someone who also has Albedo, I have no clue what the hell you’re talking about with Gorou being underwhelming for him (it seems like you forgot he scales on DEF???). Gorou at skill lvl 8 gives 330 flat defense. Ascension 1 passive grants allies 25% of Gorou’s DEF, so at 2000 defense that’s 500 DEF. He then gives 830 DEF in total, which is already nearing double of Albedo’s base defense, and over it at lvl 11 e. Do you know how easy it is to get past 2000 DEF on Gorou too? You just get DEF% Sands+ Goblet with the new DEF artifacts with DEF substats on your flower/feather, or you can throw a DEF% circlet too if you can’t bother with substats. You can also get an additional 40% (at least 20%) crit dmg on Albedo with Gorou’s c6. Albedo doesn’t need more geo dmg bonus when he gets it from ascension, geo goblet, and 30% additional geo dmg bonus from Gorou+double geo resonance (Geo reso gives 15% dmg bonus geo).

Summary- Albedo can get over half his base DEF, 20-40% crit dmg, and 30% additional geo dmg bonus if he’s paired with Gorou.

Gorou is literally the Def% version of bennet specifically tailored to geo characters. He’ll only age better too when future geo characters are released or Def% scaling characters.

Judging by his current kit, and assuming he has particle generation like Sara without electro resonance, that is a pretty decent idea. Although, it depends on your main damage dealer and your fellow party members.
If Gorou is the only buffer in the party, and your main damage dealer uses dmg bonus goblet, or not using atk% sand, then 4pc Noblesse; otherwise use 4pc Petra – his pull could be useful.

and 25% def, and a little bit of damage. and a little healing, and an okay/good amount of crit damage, counting constellations, which should be at least considered since this is a 4 star.
definitely super niche with the defense and geo restrictions, relatively underpowered numbers overall, but not just “15% geo dmg and 300 def” like it seems you keep insisting. “a character whose entire use is 15% geo dmg and 300 def” isn’t what the “mihoyo shills” are “defending”, there are more words and numbers to be read on this page, don’t be toxic like that. just say ‘this isn’t that good actually, people should at least be expecting 25% geo dmg’ and move on.
seriously though, how hard is it to read “25% def”, it’s right there. “15% geo dmg, 300 flat def and 25% def”, see? it isn’t even a 250 boost with itto, sure, but it’s still relatively significant. makes the boost easily 500 def in total, not the best, not the worst, not *300* come on. and noelle snapshots her defense on burst, so the 9/20 shouldn’t be much of a problem in her case, don’t know about itto though.

his entire purpose tho is to be a dmg buffer for defense scaling characters aka geo. he gives geo dmg and a good amount of defense thanks to his passive which u glossed over. yes it’s pathetic how useless he is outside of geo comps and specifically itto, albedo, and Noelle centric comps but he works great for his purpose so I don’t see the problem? it’s not like he’s a 5 star or someone u are required to build…

Don’t know if this is bait or not but…
Gorou is far from useless If you use him right, Gorou is design for Mono Geo, Niche? Yes. but Geo in general is Niche except for Zhongli.

Let’s me give you a few example of what he offer to the table.
At base with his E, He offer 300 Flat Def, Interrupt Resist, 15% Geo Dmg with almost 100% Uptime and 25% Def with his Burst. (Basically a Dmg Buff for Itto, Albedo & C6 Noelle)
At C1 He have 100% up time on his E
At C2 He can now extend his burst duration with crystalize reaction.
At C4 He can also heal and extend his Burst up time with crystalize reaction.
At C6 He will give 40% Crit Dmg for all party members with a 100% Uptime.
All of his kit is scale with Def unlike Albedo or Xinyan (His E with 3nd Passive will scale with Def)
And because of that he probably gonna do some decent damage with his burst if he is decently invested

He is a niche support but that doesn’t mean he is useless, In fact he is looking great for Mono Geo team just don’t put him in team that doesn’t work with him

Ah, the typical player that only values the meta or top tier characters and forgets everyone else. Gorou is a godsend support for Noelle, Albedo and likely Itto. You are basically ignoring all other buffs he does to those characters, like the DEF increase and Crit DMG bonus for Geo. Just because he doesn’t buff Ningguangg properly, doesn’t mean he is useless or trash. Try to look outside the box for once.

This may come as a surprise, but there are Noelle, and Albedo, and soon there will be Itto, all of them benefit from def. Geo-only teams aren’t common, but they do exist, i know people who have them for the vibe or blunt reliable dps. Gorou seems to be very niche, that’s true, but people who have a niche for him will find him very useful. Nothing wrong with having niche characters, otherwise we all would just play with ganyu and hu tao. Just because he doesn’t go with your team, doesn’t mean he’s useless.

    Something I gotta ask:

Is it worth to sacrifice a second resonance (usually pyro) for a 15% Geo DMG bonus plus 20% Crit DMG?

    Also:

Is Gorou + another Geo able to replace and be as good as Bennett + Xiangling in a Ningguang + Zhongli comp?

depending on the team you use, one of the advantages of gorou is that it can increase def which is very useful for only a few characters. for your second question, no.

      No, it isn’t.
+15% Geo Damage for Ninguang almost nothing.

If Ninguang use Solar Pearl and she has 1600 ATK
      +24%Geo DMG from passive + 15%Geo DMG from Archaic +46,6%Geo DMG from Goblet = 1600+85,6% = 2970

If use 4 Geo inckuding Gorou
      +15% Geo DMG from Gorou = = 1600+100,6% =3210

      If use Benett and Xianling
      +800 ATK from Benett Burst and +25% (180) ATK from Pyro Resonance= 2580+85,6% = 4788
And also you have a Pyronado.

    About Rorou’s Skill
    +1 Geo Character: DEF buff.
It’s only good for Noelle and Itto

    But…

    Solo Noelle C6: 12K DPS

With Ninguang and her Skill 16,3K DPS
With Geo Traveller and her/him Burst 16,3K DPS
    With Zhongli’s Shield 16,8K DPS

    With Gorou’s Skill: 17K DPS (C3, T12)
Well its greater, but this is only a small difference.

    +2 Geo Character: Interuption Buff.
Yes! This is wery werey important for Geo Characters!
NO! Unnecessary! They have Shield! They make Shield!

+3 Geo Character: Geo DMG buff.
    Good for all Geo Characters…
But 15% in every Talent Level.

C6 Noelle With Gorou, Ninguang, and Geo Traveller: 20,5K DPS
If Ninguan or Traveller replace with Zhongli: 21K DPS
    If Gorou C6: 24K DPS

    Comparison:
C6 Noelle with Ninguang, and Xingqiu ~26K DPS
C6 Noelle with Ninguang, Xingqiu and Beidou ~35K DPS
C6 Noelle with Ninguang, Xingqiu and Electro Traveller ~34K DPS (And Energy Cherarge)
C6 Noelle with Ninguang, Xingqiu and C1 Benett ~35K DPS

Conclusion. For Noelle, any Geo Character and any two support with different element is
better than the 4 Geo Gorou Party.

All DPS value based on a “best” 4 star weapons and “okey” (not perfect) Artifacts

Gorou’s Skill with this walues isn’t good. I hope, they will change it.

        Just for you:
My C6 Noelle with R4 Whiteblind (max Stack)
        ATK 1483
        DEF 2677
        CritRate 58,3%
        CritDMG 77,2%
        Geo DMG Bonus 46,6%
Normal and Charged Attack DMG Bonus from Retracing Bolide 40%
Total DMG bonus 86,6% (if use Normal Attacks)
Burst Talent Level 12 = Convert 130% of the DEF to ATK 2677*1,3 = 3480
        ATK with Burst 1483+3480 = 4963
        With DMG bonus 4963*1,866 = 9261
Same level enemy damage reduction (50%) 9261*0,5=4630
        Enemy resist (usually 10%) 4630*0,9 = 4167

        Normal Attack
        1st hit 156% = 4167*1,56 = 6500
        2nd hit 145%= 4167*1,45 = 6042
        3rd hit 171%= 4167*1,71 = 7125
        4th hit 224%= 4167*2,24 = 9334
        SUM = 29001
(Claymore users perform the 4 hit combo in 3,6 second)

        Base DPS: 29001/3,6=8055
        Crit DPS: 8055*1,772 = 14273
        Average DPS: 8055*(1+0,772*0,583)= 11680

        Geo Resonance
        +25% DMG
        11680/1,866 = 8259
        8259*(1,866+0,25) = 17476
(seems like something wrong with the calculator)
        https://genshinimpactcalculator.com/genshinCalc.html

Decrease enemy Geo RES with 20%

        DPS without enemy RES 17476 = 17476/0,9 = 19417
        10% RES – 20% = -5%
(Under 0% the Resist Reduction efficiency is 50%)
DPS With Geo RES reduction. 19417*1,05 = 20388

        With Zhongli’s Shield 20% Elemental RES reduction 19417*1,15 = 22329

        or

        With Gorou’s Skill (lvl12) 412 DEF bonus (=535 ATK)
        (20388/4963)*(4963+535) = 22586

        With Goro and Zhongli
        (22329/4963)*(4963+535) = 24736

With Goro, Zhongly and Ninguang (15%+12% Geo DMG Bonus)
        (24736/2,116) *(2,116+0,15+0,12) = 27892

Whith Zhongli Xingqiu (~10KDPS) and Xianling (~9KDPS
Sorry if i don’t write down Xingqiu’sand Xianling’s Damage calcualtions and use simple numbers)
        22329+10000+9000 = 41329

        41329 > 27892 (48% difference)

        Conclusion:
Something wrong with the online damage calcualtor.
But 2 Geo+2 different elemental support party is still better than 4 Geo Gorou’s party

Honestly it’s hard to give advice when we don’t have the character himself yet. Things are usually different in practice vs. on paper. But in the end it all comes down to how you want to play him. Honestly, it sounds like you have an idea for him already so I’d aim for that for now, try it out and change it if you don’t like it when you get him. As for me, I want a bit of damage on my supports so I can bring them to co op and not depend too heavily on teammates dealing damage. I’ll be going Def%, Geo%, and Crit Rate.
