Item Story
The splendid jadeite fell from the sky, washed by the ever-flowing cleansing waters. Freed from dark earth and rotten wood, every trace of residue removed. A primordial stone, chiseled and molded by the hands of mortal youth. Ultimately becoming a splendid jade instrument, awaiting a serendipitous moment to fulfill its sacred purpose... "It is just as I said," mused the researcher from the realm of rainforests over tea, "the arc of history bends towards decay and collapse." "The fall of humanity can only be prevented with the wisdom and mercy of the gods. Without these, humans will inevitably annihilate themselves." "Witness the silent testimony of the deserted ruins lying betwixt mountain and swamp. Witness the wild beasts in the hills, bereft of their powers of speech and spirit..." "The people of the past perished without a trace, and even their greatest kings and chiefs failed to make even a ripple." The people of Chenyu Vale did not always dwell there, but once called the crystal-veined mountains home. Life of family and tribe both revolved around the mines, and their settlements stretched from peak to peak. But the ancient sin lying buried beneath their feet and shovels was unknown to the mortals, hidden under the deepest shafts. Divine punishment is unforgiving, and cares not for the lives of mortals. After the catastrophe, their forebears were forced to bring their families northward. The elders of Qiaoying Village claim that the ancestors of the people of Chenyu Vale came from a chasm to the south. They brought with them a great jade altar, and left behind ancient, enigmatic ruins... When war among the gods brought tragedy, the ancestors of Chenyu Vale's people were reduced to wandering refugees. Their descendents once believed in a now-forgotten god, and all are now lost to history and consigned to dust. "An unsound theory," responded the consultant in the dark robes, "the history of mortals is one filled with rebirth." "Glory and ruin both spring from mortals themselves. Without agency, there is no rise or fall to speak of." "Ancient ruins lie forsaken, but their former inhabitants, buffeted by fate, live on to this day..." "The fading of their ancestors has given rise to the prosperity of today... even if they are now assimilated, one with the people of a new god." "Even if they are often helpless in matters great and small, they have not been destroyed by circumstance, but rather made their own choices." "As for the wisdom and laws of the gods, they are based on the consensus of mortals, and not personal whim." After a short while, the trivial debate over tea came to an inconclusive end. Such discussions between mortals and gods are wont to end in squabbling over this and that. But the Bishui River flows eternal, just as the luster of the sacred jade within remains as constant as its former master. |

这就说明,和璞鸢系列武器的“定土玉圭”出了,只不过不属于这个系列了
for comparison:
Jadefall’s Splendor R1 | Prototype Amber R5
ATK 608 | ATK 509
HP 49.62% | HP 41.35%
+12% Elem bonus/Burst | -none-
+24 Energy/Burst** | +18 Energy/Burst
-none- | +18% HP heal for all party member***/Burst
**burst activates + (creates shield x5/burst), first instance should counts both burst activates+shield creates at the same time for 2 bonus.. or else if not its +20 energy at total
***HP calculated from each character of their own. not Baizhu’s
although Baizhu’s damage become better at higher constallation and his signature will top-up a tiny bit of it, if you pulling him for just healing/shield or dendro applier then Prototype Amber should suffice in any case. save your wallet 🙂
Pulling him for dendro application? Only if you really hate yourself and want to make the game more difficult for yourself…
love the metal gear reference

they buffed this weapon a little bit…
・Restore Energy from 4/4.5/5/5.5/6 -> 4.5/5/5.5/6/6.5
・Elem bonus per 1000HP from 0.3%/0.45%/0.6%/0.75%/0.9% -> 0.3%/0.5%/0.7%/0.9%/1.1%
・Max Elem bonus total gain from 12%/18%/24%/30%/36% -> 12%/20%/28%/36%/44%
energy buff only affect R1, the rest effect are for whale that commit R2 or above
again with the comparison:
Jadefall’s Splendor R1 | Prototype Amber R5
ATK 608 | ATK 509
HP 49.62% | HP 41.35%
+12% Elem bonus/Burst | -none-
+27 Energy/Burst*① | +18 Energy/Burst
-none- | +18% HP heal for all party member*②/Burst
①:burst activates (4.5EN) + (creates shield (4.5EN)x5 per burst) first instance should counts both burst activates+shield creates at the same time for 2 bonuses.. or else if not its +22.5 energy in total
②:HP calculated from each character of their own. not Baizhu’s HP
Isn’t it 27 or 31.5? 14s duration / new shield every 2.5s = 1 burst + 5 shields = 6 procs * 4.5 = 27 energy. 31.5 energy if the initial cast procs the passive twice.
Considering how it’s written “For 3s after using an Elemental Burst or creating a shield, the equipping character can gain the Primordial Jade Regalia effect: Restore 4 Energy every 2.5s” wouldn’t the energy restoration proc twice? First when you burst and then again after 2.5s before hitting the 3s mark? ? That would make much more sense since this is supposed to be a premium (and highly niche) version of proto-amber without the healing passive…
Prototype Amber>>
This sig weapon give 12 percent Edmg bonus and gives about 20 energy every burst.
Prototype amber at r5 gives 18 energy and regenerates hp for the team and is free so…
12% motion value? why? that doesn’t do anything. either give him a support affix or at least a okaish dmg affix.
He needs a minimum of 40k HP at all refines to max the dmg bonus
40k isn’t a big deal considering his A4 maxes out at 50k anyway.
RIP jade serie with crit rate substat
I was sure abou that… fk it, only last years they were going to do this
a whole serie with the same substats, the same concept
i really liked that, even for weapons like “the unforged”. one serie, one type
but no, now they make every single weapon tailored-made, and even tho some of the can be usable (like redhorn) ofc there’s part of their kit which is simple wasted on almost anyone else
this is so disgusting
well Engulfing Lightning is ER when the rest of the set are crit dmg, while the Elegy for the End, Freedom-Sworn and Song of Broken Wallets all have different substats while having the same aesthetic :/
is this weapon good for kokomi dps? i need to know because i will be pulling in nilou rerun and she has a chance to go with baizhus banner
From what i see, it’s usable but not as good as Moonglow. Baizhu who will go triple HP on artifacts can make use of the HP scaling dmg bonus passive, while Kokomi who will go HP-Hydro-HB can’t make full use of it. Also, since she can only trigger the energy generation passive by casting Burst and can’t trigger with shield creation, at R1 she will only gain around 8 energy per rotation. Has better damage than R5 Prototype Amber but worse energy generation (R5 Amber generates 18), although not much worries since Kokomi don’t need as much energy as Baizhu.
If you’re planning to go for Baizhu in his rerun (he’s nice to provide interruption resistance for Nilou teams and also buffs Bloom dmg by up to 100% like C2 Nahida), then i think there’s not much problem risking his weapon if you want to go for Nilou’s weapon. Kokomi can use it if you don’t have Moonglow or haven’t craft R5 Prototype Amber until you get Baizhu eventually. If you don’t want Baizhu but Nilou’s weapon is paired with his weapon, if i’m in your position i would use the savings on Nahida’s C2 or future characters instead after getting Nilou or if already have her, and keep Moonglow or R5 Prototype Amber on dps Kokomi. Nilou’s C2 is also very good, just not as versatile as Nahida’s C2. If by chance Nilou’s weapon is paired with Nahida’s weapon, i would 100% go for it by the way.
“Baizhu who will go triple HP on artifacts” stop acting like you are the voice of reason and that you have to dictate how everyone should be playing the game. There will be people who will use the healing bonus artefact. You should be ignored.
The strawmen in your mind must be very frightening beings, indeed.
He neither said nor implied he’s the “voice of reason” and he also did not make any declarations establishing how people must be required to play the game. Nice hyperbolic language.
And I’m not positing which artifacts are going to be better, as I don’t have any idea, but it seems that you’re conceding something like, “while HP x3 is the standard, some people might choose other options.” Nobody is saying you can’t use other options than what are standard. Wanna use ATK/Pyro/Crit on Bennett? Feel free, but no one will assume that’s how you’re building him. You’re being needlessly aggressive to a very ordinary piece of advice.
Not sure if it’s a good idea to post this reply or not, but the last part is rather important.
Thanks for the help somewhat (username Battle). Yeah i wasn’t trying to dictate anything, what i meant by “Baizhu who will go triple HP on artifacts” is “If Baizhu is in a team where he wants to maximize his buffing potential by going triple HP”. If a player want more healing and don’t mind with less buff, sure Healing Bonus circlet might help. There’s also no need to explain everything in detail because everyone can see his kit in this site and from there can have some idea how to build him according their own individual needs, i just picked a buffer build as a quick example.
Also, when i mentioned Baizhu it was to make a correlation with his Signature weapon, if he can reach 40k HP to make full use of the weapon’s passive with a Healing Bonus circlet then sure go ahead. The reason behind a HP circlet is due to his own passive needing 50k HP, and generally players want as much buff as possible. In that specific case, it’s very hard to achieve 50k HP without a HP circlet. Not to mention his shield can only be more durable with HP and not with Healing Bonus.
By the way, all my talk about Baizhu is simply a part of my effort to answer the question and i saw no one answered previously. I didn’t even try to answer everything in this site because i know i might be wrong, the reason i decided to help with this one is because i happen to main dps Kokomi and the focus of his question is exactly about dps Kokomi. If the focus of the question is about another character i’m not familiar with, i most likely won’t answer it. I also was being very careful to not give any false information regarding any point i talk and especially didn’t try to force anything, it’s mostly “if i were in your place, i would do X or Y..”. Trying reading everything again (if you actually care) and you might see differently. Regarding “acting like a voice of reason”, you know what, i even asked for advice from others in this site just yesterday about a certain team composition because of not feeling sure about it, and received one reply that helped me.
If i somehow sound like forcing everyone to build a unit in a very specific way, it isn’t intended. Players should build any character in a way that suit their own needs.
Meanwhile, you (username Tendency) seem to be here only to attack me without any advice whatsoever towards the original question asking for advice. Going as far as shooting down my entire person and future opinions by saying i should be ignored is infinitely more evil than me being a “Genshin meta dictator” like you probably and mistakenly imagined me to be.
Finally, it’s a lucky thing the words “you should be ignored” is thrown at me because i’m already contemplating to end my life for another reason. That sentence is a very short one and is probably trivial to you but could’ve hurt someone else greatly, you should be more careful with your words in the internet if you do care about other people’s wellbeing, since you seem to care enough about their freedom to build game characters. There are uncountable people who end their life every year due to internet conversations.
Then again i used the words like “you should be more careful..” in my last paragraph, if you somehow go “don’t tell me what to do, i can type anything i want lol you are too sensitive and overdramatic writing essay-long replies and stuff”, i don’t know what to say anymore.
a fellow koko mdps, i applaud thee. im worried i might have to r5 another amber for bai if theres no other gud f2p option. if he can make enough particles with his skill he might not need ambers help in that aspect and use ttods or use what billets i do have on a hakushin like some ppl have said.
Ah hello Kokomrade. For Baizhu’s weapon specifically i think it depends on whether you use him on-field or off-field. Something to be aware of (someone reminded me some time ago), Hakushin’s passive doesn’t work off-field, the buff will only last for 6 seconds from the last time he triggers Spread or Bloom while being the active character, and will only be triggered the next time he becomes the active character and triggers one of those two reactions again. So, i think you should only craft Hakushin if you are planning to use him on-field, like as a driver for Raiden/Kuki Hyperbloom. Also do note that Hakushin dmg bonus doesn’t increase Hyperbloom/burgeon dmg, only element dmg.
The latest information mentioned that his skill gives 3 particles with a certain chance for another one (so 3-4 particles but subject to change), it’s quite good but Baizhu does still have high energy requirement. Another dendro character in the team will help, but yeah Prototype Amber or his Signature will also help greatly.
I also don’t like the idea of crafting another R5 Prototype Amber, so if Kokomi and Baizhu is brought to the Abyss whether on the same team or different, one of them can hold Amber and the other one with the teammates who can benefit from TTDS’s buff can hold TTDS. The one with TTDS needs more ER, but can be helped by teammates like Xingqiu (for Kokomi) or Nahida (for Baizhu), or by equipping Favonius to someone in the team. Hakushin also can be a choice if you play on-field Kokomi or on-field Baizhu like mentioned earlier.
If you play Nilou team, Kokomi can hold Sacrificial Fragments since she is often the main trigger and Baizhu can hold the Prototype Amber.
Really depends on the teams you want to use, having two Ambers can be nice but i think we can make it work (hopefully) without crafting a second Amber.
not that great. you only gain 3s of the passive.
As of now, it only works with Baizhu since Baizhu creates a mini shield every 2.5s
I do have kokomi signature weapon, please someone can tell me if kokomi signature weapon works well on baizhu ? Do the ER gain or Flat Att+ from kokomi weapon is still good or Baizhu signature weapon is more better ?
Moonglow’s HP stat is surely good for Baizhu, but its passive won’t work unless he’s normal-attacking on-field. In Nilou Bloom teams or Hyperbloom/Burgeon/Spread where he’s actively normal-attacking on-field, Moonglow is good enough. But if you also want to use him often as off-field support, Baizhu’s Signature is better since he needs a lot of energy and its passive activates by just casting his Burst.
You can also craft R5 Prototype Amber if you want to be efficient with primos or don’t like the other weapon in his weapon banner, its performance is actually quite close to his Signature. Not sure whether his Signature gives energy continuously every 2.5s or only for 3s (2 procs). If continuously (although very unlikely), it’s very good and will be worth pulling (32 energy per rotation at R1), but if only for 3s (2 procs) then it’s not much better than R5 Prototype Amber (R5 Amber gives 18 energy per rotation and Signature gives 8, but he can surely deal better damage with his Signature). Need more clarification on it.
From what i see so far, R1 Baizhu’s Signature/R5 Prototype Amber>R5 TTDS/R1 Moonglow(situational).
Update: After very close look at Baizhu’s weapon passive, the energy generation is actually very good since it also triggers everytime his shield is created (every 2.5s automatically) so indeed he can probably gain up to 32 energy per rotation which is great. Much better than Moonglow especially for off-field Baizhu and actually better than R5 Prototype Amber. If it’s truly that way (we should wait for more clarification or potential weapon passive modification), then keep Moonglow on Kokomi if you use her as on-field dps, and either give R5 Prototype Amber or his Signature to him. Keep in mind that it’s good but only for Baizhu, compared to other universal 5-star weapons, so the value isn’t very high if you are f2p or low spender, unless you also want the weapon that is featured alongside his Signature in his weapon banner.
I see thanks for your reply, well for now I have nilou c1 with her signature weapon, I got her back to back, my nahida is c0 with evening star weapon R5, I think i will probably try to get her C2 in the rerun banner. I like Baizhu kit, tempted for his c1 for a comfy ER build if enought gems. I will proably switch moonglow on him and prototype amber on kokomi. I play kokomi as hydro applicator + healing… Some players from beta videos comment told me, C4 yanfei shield is better. his shield might be get the 250% buff against the same element from shield, so no dammage from bloom core. so it’s still ok for me…
You said above he needs around 50K Hp for good build from his kit ? My kokomi has only 44K HP and 47HP from hydro ressonance
I will have then to be lucky with artefacts
kokomi!!!
