I did’t trash alhaytham, on day 1 beta, his dmg scaling is so high that i saw a nerf coming from a mile away, i was just scared how much the hammer will hit, fortunately turns out hes the good ones from sumeru when released
after seeing her stats, knowing how math works and now the nerfs. yes, mihoyo definitely hates her. (comes from someone who was worried about alhaitham might be too strong and was glad when he and his broken weapon got some nerfs;) )

Zhongli : 100% E uptime, 100% no dmg taken, 100% no interuption + elemental shreds
Dehya : 60% E uptime, dmg taken converted to DoT to dehya and onfield character still takes dmg, i dunno how much dehya E will increase your interuption resist but not 100% + no elemental shreds
Why make dehya a tank when you have zhongli
The only (+) point dehya have is that shes a pyro and have a burst dmg via Q, but that still not enough to beat zhongli tanking ability and his Q utility to petrify enemy furthermore he just needs 40 energy.
Do Shadowy Husks and Black Serpent Knights ring any bells? Not sure how Dehya would fair against Rift Hounds though.

Freeze comp. Also, they aren’t a big deal. Like, at all. I brought a shield against them and still stomped them.
Dehya would probably get decimated by Rifthounds. 2-4x the corrosion per instance applied? Death sentence. Probably wouldn’t be able to switch into her at all without being insta-killed.
There’s nothing wrong with simply having more options.
The problem is that people want powercreep in this game without saying they want powercreep.
Whenever a new 5* unit comes out, people don’t look at them as just another way to play the game. They look at them as potential replacements so that they can bench previous units (Yelan to replace XQ) and moan when they don’t.

Even after nerfs this girl is still much stronger than ayaka. Poor poor ayaka. She was doomed to humiliation immediately after the release of Sumeru. First, she was humiliated by Daddytham, who deals several times more damage with a f2p build and a crafting sword in a few seconds than an ayaka with her bis in her entire rotation. And now also Dehya. Who deals 2 times more damage with burst even after nerfs and does not require expensive limited supports, just to give at least some damage. Cryo forehead is really the weakest DPS that deserves to become a standard character and become a nightmare to get at the qiqi level.

ayaka’s elemental burst damage easily exceeds 3000% at lvl 6.
She can exit immediately after activating Elemental Burst, while Dehya takes 7 seconds to finish the motion!

You’re calling Ayaka Trash Yet Her Elemental skill with even minimal investment deals at least 1.5x more damage then Dehyas’ now that not to say Dehya is bad she is good better then diluc, but who’s not better then diluc these days and before you say that dehya skill is better it last for 12s on 20s CD so unless im missing something or my math is off that is 8s between Skill Where as Ayaka Has a Decent Way to Decrease CD Yes At C1 but still its more consistent then having to wait 8s at most to use her skill. Also The Reason Im Comparing Their Elemental Skills is Because It is what allows them to use their bursts which is a relatively big part of both of their kit

The fact hoyo nerf her means she have good performance in recent beta test. In the end, it will be the same like haitham. He quite strong and have positive review by many TC even though got trashed everyday on HH.
The situation is too different from haitham.
Her kits are all half-assed and her skill CD’s are on par with 4star.

NA : Deals 2 physical damage
Elemental skill : Inflict 2 pyro damage and trigger Fiery Sanctuary. For two turns, onfield char take 2 damage less and Dahya take one damage. When Fiery Sanctuary is active and Dehya’s HP are 3HPs or lower (even if off field), it triggers Stalwart and True. Stalwart and True : End of turn : Heals 2HP. Duration 3 turn.
Burst : Inflict 3 pyro damage and gives the Roaring Barrage State. The 3 next NAs are pyro infused (cannot be overidden) until the end of the next turn. After all stacks are consumed, inflict another 2 pyro damage to the onfield char and 1 true damage to each off field chars.
Additionally the burst costs only 2 energy and she begins with 12 HP instead of 10

Yeah they locked even more of her potential damage behind swiping your credit card. Her C1 should be her A4 passive, because her HP ascension stat and the max HP increase from her signature weapon are completely wasted on a C0 character.

‘Cause only a unit’s own elemental damage output matters in a team game.
That’s the only thing she offers though. It’s not like she’s going to be a broken pyro support with 2.5 seconds intervals on her E, because that’s so much worse than Xiangling even when you ignore the damage potential of both units. Bad E uptime makes her worse than Thoma in burgeon, and Klee is better than her in mono pyro.
The only thing unique about her is the damage reduction, which is more easily achieved by playing any shielder or even Xingqiu lmao.
People talking about “teamwork” forget that unlike many other characters, almost all Dehua has is her own dmg.
OK, let’s forget about dmg and remember 4* pyro:
*Xiangling gives 10% atk from passive ability, -15% to pyro-resistance from C1 and +15% to pyro-dmg from C6
*Thomas gives you not only a shield (providing 100% damage reduction of 100% stagger-resistance – unlike partial protection granted by Dehya), but also increases weapon damage by 15% on C6.
They also impose a pyro status for the Melt and Burgeon commands, respectively.
And what does Dehya give the team? A parody of a shield that is not able to completely block damage and partial stagger-resistance…
Oh yes, one more nuance – her damage reduction doesn’t even work 100% of the time. With a duration of 12 seconds, his cooldown is 20 – that is, 8 seconds of vulnerability.

what else is there to offer by bringing her in the team? u want defensive utility? just bring bennet, he buffs u too and does some good amount of damage on his own. U want damage? Xiangling exists. The only thing she offers is to be a melt ganyu support with nahida or yao yao and even that’s not gonna be any good thanks to her bad E uptime.
Keep malding at a beta kit.
She can be good for HuTao too, you don’t need a shield and by taking damage, you are sure to stay low life. You have XQ for sustain and your burst as emergency heal. Her skill is slow app so she won’t steal reaction too much, especially if you HuTao double hydro.
She will shine against anti-shield mecanics like Husk, but it not that common and we already have means to deal against them with healing or crowd control.
Problem is she don’t bring any utility outside of this mecanic. She brings a bit of damage but not enough to justify her over another defensive char. Bennett heals and buff, Thomas shield, trigger burgeon and buffs NAs, Tankfei shield and buff atk with TTDS or heals with ProtoAmber…
