Item Story

From the land of gold came a wanderer, his body and mind scarred by the touch of battle.
He was once a prince, but now, he was merely someone lost in a winding and deceptive verdant maze.
The ancient forest king, tasting the scent of blood that stems from authority, was unable to hold back a deep sigh...
Summons were sent, and a huntress bearing a moon-white bow came forth, tasked to hunt the trapped beast that had come from beyond the woods.

The sky was overcast, spreading like ink blots in the clouds. Death whispered through the wooded maze, groping for a path to follow.
Following the exile's footsteps, the curse spread across the desert sands to swallow the "living" lands.
Through jade hallways and pathways narrow, she discovered the intruder's intent from the strangeness of their scent...
Adrift between memory and ambition, however, the exile was lost amidst the discord of running water and birdsong...

"You have been struck with one of my arrows, insolent invader! The next shall find its path into your heart."
"No longer shall you loiter in the forest. No longer shall you disturb the dreams of the children. The crown you seek, you shall not find here!"

Thus did the hale huntress warn her prey, that none yet had ever evaded her arrows or her perspicacity.
Yet, for reasons unknown, she lowered her bow by a few inches and deliberately missed the addled man.
The greenery looked on, bewildered, and the dream-hidden children exhaled as blood went unspilled.
The slumbering forest king, blessed with insight that can pierce through all dreams, understood her intent and gave a thunderous murmur that caused even the greatest of trees to tremble:

"That mortal is not alike to you. He comes from a sordid land, and his hands are stained with blood, while his heart festers with delusions and madness."
"But the forest only keeps dreams wrought from naivete, and blood is only meant to be shed for the hunt or in sacrifice — in this there can be no deception."
"If you believe that he yet has the potential to reclaim his honor in the maze, then guide him to break off the pale branch..."
"Only then can the bright moon and the newborn stars grant him pure wisdom and help him shed his bitter memories and desires."

So, she again took hold of her pure-white bow and drove the exile, sending him fleeing into the depths of the maze...
The truth of what happened afterward was witnessed by the moon and the stars, and only dwells still in the dreams of children.
Some rumors say that the exiled noble finally used the pale branch to forge a blade that belonged to him and him alone,
While some children claim in their sleep that he forgot the name of his home, and of his dream to be king.
Regardless, Prince Faramarz's name vanished within the rainforest henceforth, returning to the desert on the back of sand carried by the wind.

  1. Wtf? Was it nerfed again?!
Before the crit rate was 8%
But the EM bonus dmg was bumped up to 200%
But not the EM bonus dmg is even lower than the initial.

Like wtf? Was it too powerful?

    • maybe, but to be fair all passives like that have the same stats so it being 8% cr wouldn’t match with what skyward blade has which is the 4% cr. personally i think its too low when everywhere else crit rate/dmg is 1:2 and skyward has 20% cdmg on its passive. 8% would’ve been ok but it should be 10%, at least that way it could be meaningful on both swords.

  3. The passive is quite restrictive, but I can see it working with Alhaitham, Keqing and Ayato (since his E attacks are considered NAs), though Ayato is rarely built with a high EM stat. Al being on field DPS without CR/CD ascension stat isn’t that great and this sword doesn’t do a lot to compensate for that either.

    • 96% total CV at R1 doesn’t do much to compensate his lack of ascension crit passive? What? You never want to put all your stats into 1 basket, this weapon is absolutely perfect for him.

He gets up to 128.8% dendro DMG from his level up passive and A4 passive as a part of his base kit, so you have more than enough bonus DMG from his base kit as is. That means you can safely go EM/EM/CR on your artifact main stats to have all the EM and crit possible, since EM basically triple dips by affecting his talent multipliers, A4 passive and reaction damage (and EM quadruple dips with this weapon). Crit then further increases both his personal talent and quicken/spread damage.

None of that even considers his artifact set bonuses or substats. If you have good CR substats, you could even go for CD mainstat to have a minimum of 200% CD just from your mainstats. Crit only kinda sucks on him if you’re going for Nilou bloom team, but still, personal damage is personal damage and it shouldn’t be underestimated.

  5. I feel like it might be better to just wait for a Mistsplitter rerun than waste primos on this. At least they improved it over the first iteration.

    • I saw some numbers from someone else and Most Splitter is barely better than a Harbinger of Dawn. Primordial Jade Cutter is the next best sword for him, about 10% weaker than this one

      • If Misplitter is already Bennett’s BiS, why would it matter if this weapon doesn’t work with him? Most people run Bennett as a pure support anyway with a good chunk of ER. Misplitter is much better utilized in the hands of other sword users that Bennett can support.

There are so many options in this game. Imagine still being hung up on Bennett.

      • Can you guys read? he said mistplitter is also Bennet’s bis as a added relativity with its versatility on other characters. Nobody said say it has to be bennett’s bis. I don’t get why you guys stupidly pointing it up like that? I guess due to loss of any better argument for this weapon.
This lofi weapon is not good as mistplitter or jade cutter on other dps characters, which is pretty fuking sad
it should atleast have a stronger passive cuz the other weapons are already strong and versatile.

        • What part of ‘Signature Weapon’ is so difficult for you to understand? This weapon is tailored to function and maximize the mechanics in Alhaitham’s kit. Why are you whining when Mistplitter and Jadecutter are already versatile options? Just use those on on your other characters then.

    • Honestly, not really any reason to pull for this if you have Mistsplitter, the damage is very similar on Alhaitham.

    • I can’t give any exact numbers, but I imagine there might be a lot of factors in play. Here are some thoughts off the top of my head:

Light of Foliar Sanction might favor an EM hybrid build. EM D C would grant 502 EM off the bat (including C2), which equals 1004 DMG bonus. But what I’m worried about is that:
      A. C6 Kazuha already gets a DMG bonus increase to his auto attacks from C6, which may lead to oversaturation from all the DMG buffs in play.
      B. This DMG bonus ONLY BUFFS his auto attacks and skill damage, and completely ignores his burst.

Mistsplitter’s overarching Elemental DMG buff would affect auto attacks, skill, and burst, and C6 Kazuha should have no trouble gaining all three stacks almost instantly. His burst may not be able to snapshot all three stacks (I don’t own a Mistsplitter to test it myself), but overall Mistsplitter should be able to buff all of C6 Kazuha’s damage nonetheless, including the full 40% DMG bonus to his auto attacks, as well as the free 12% Elemental DMG buff to the element absorbed in his skill and burst.
Mistsplitter’s hefty base ATK might favor an A D C build, which would also mean it favors teams and situations that don’t rely on Kazuha being built with a lot of EM.

      TL;DR:
Light of Foliar Sanction grants over double the crit value of Mistsplitter and incentivizes building EM to buff C6 Kazuha’s auto attack and skill damage.
Mistsplitter grants a ton more base attack and an incredible amount of DMG bonus to all of C6 Kazuha’s kit, with reduced reliance on EM building. According to Keqing Mains, ADC builds at C6 pull ahead of EM bot builds in many senarios, so in my opinion, this may ultimately be the better option.

    • This sword with EM-EM-Crit build… The reason is Kazuha’s Normal Attack multipliers are so low… Even if you pour him a lot of damage bonuses, it is still low…
