Item Story
The knights of Mondstadt, whether it be by coincidence or fate, Have as most their distinguished titles and corresponding animal insignia the following two: The first is the title and repute of the Lion, passed down from the first Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, And the second, from almost the same period, is that of the Wolf Knight, Boreas. There is, in truth, no record at all of the Knight of Boreas. The name's origin instead comes from stories that circulated through the streets at that time. At the end of the tale, the merchant (or farmer) whose daughter was saved asked: "How can we ever thank you, O Honored Knight?" The Knight replied: "When thine precious daughter is married, raise a glass in toast from afar." "Ah! I am very sorry... if I am to toast you, might I humbly ask your distinguished name, O Knight?" The Knight thought for a moment, and replied thusly: "Then thou should toast my companion instead. 'Boreas' is his name." The end of the story often goes something like this: At the same time, in the forest (or on a mountainside, or someplace out of sight), A sudden gust of wind blows. The merchant (or farmer) gazed in that direction, But saw only a pair of bestial eyes in the darkness, cold as ice. These two lights quickly disappeared. After the merchant (or farmer) came to, the Knight was gone as well. There are many versions of the story, though the daughter is always saved, and the Knight is always nameless. But before the story was a story, he was merely a strange traveler clad in a dust-stained and tattered cloak. Some noticed the exquisitely crafted yet battle-worn armor beneath the cape. But that didn't mean anything. Perhaps the armor's bearer was just another lost soul who had lost their prestigious position with the changes wrought by revolution. The tavern's owner noticed that the man paid with real gold and silver coins, though none recognized the symbols on them. Still, that too meant nothing, for gold and silver have no master and are always changing hands. Nor would anyone speak ill of a customer who paid their tab on the spot and was not prone to rowdy drunkenness. For its part, the story came from a snake demon who arrived on Mondstadt's shores from the sea beyond the horizon, following the current of warmth and peace. In the early days of the Knights of Favonius, when they were still weak, the nameless knight left the city to hunt demons, for the price of a single silver coin. The scent of blood and carrion rotting on the beach attracted thousands of falcons, who circled for days. Thus, the true origin of the name of Falcon Coast comes not from the romantic legend of the Falcon of the West. In the years afterwards, the Knights of Favonius did their utmost to convince the nameless knight to join them, but he never agreed. In reality, the events that corresponded to the story of "Boreas" likely happened between the Grand Master of the early days of the founding of the Knights and the nameless knight. The events unfolded such that the Grand Master, having lost patience after being rejected countless times, had the nameless knight surrounded in the street. The two famous lines in the story were likely spoken when the nameless knight "Boreas" left, and though the meaning was similar, the tone of both sides was far less civil. But such a story would be exceedingly dull if committed to poetry, and thus talented bards took that dialogue, combined it with a few events surrounding the Knight while he was in Mondstadt, and from that wove a multitude of stories. Though he stayed in Mondstadt for but a few years, in leaving, his shadow has ever remained. |

Finally my Alhaitham can get rid of harbinger of dawn
don’t fall for it guys.
those crit rate increase is complete gimmick.
what it means by “its CRIT Rate” means if elemental skill hit opponent, then only elemental skill crit rate increase by 2% per hit.
same rule applied to elemental burst.
that alone makes this weapon limited to certain character.
this weapon is good for sub dps e.g kaeya, xinqiu, layla, albedo also good for character with frequent skill/burst usage or skill dmg as normal atk e.g nilou, and of course future hydro traveler.
ayaka seems okay with this, but crit rate sub stat is useless for her.
what about dps carry with normal atk like ayato, alhaitham, keqing? not good of course…
alhaitham main dmg source is from his skill so 35% crit on his skill at R1. It’s a major improvement over other f2p options
that’s still not bad at all, especially when a lot of sword characters’ main source of dps is their skill and burst
Most of Alhaitham’s damage comes from his elemental skill. His projection attacks are considered elemental skill damage. So it’s still great on him.
Alhaitham’s normal attack is very small portion of dmg, this one is EXTREMELY good on alhaitham and might even better than 5 stars weapon (except of course his BiS 5 star), even at R1, 16% elem skill dmg is good for his main source of dmg, plus increases crit rate over time 8% on R1 (35% crit rate max potential), this on R5 it beats Primodal jade cutter due to its passive effect (32% elem and burst dmg, 43% crit rate), the same thing can be applied to Keqing, because another thing to note spread/aggravate dmg also takes this bonuses (from skill and burst), and keqing would rather want charge attack over normal attack, with TF artifact you will most likely spam skill then burst more often due to ez energy accumulation, so normal attack boost is very small bonus for these two.
if Ayaka is build for Melt or nuke burst dmg, this is also good on her and without using the blizzard 4-pc, because only freeze team or mono cryo where crit rate is not as effective than usual. With this, you could go for Noblese/Blizzard 2pc or 4 pc emblem, compare to 4 pc blizzard which is most of the time 20% crit rate bonus and dependent on cryo status on enemies (40% if frozen) which is why she is currently optimized for freeze teams.
Are you drunk? most of Alhaitham’s dmg comes from his skill lmao
ok
I was wrong about Alhaitham.
But that’s actually wrap things up, that this weapon only good for him.
Also if you already have umbrella weapon, spending 15$ only for this weapon is basically not worth it.
And who gonna use this on sub dps anyway if already got favonius or sacrificial sword?
too imba weapon, may be better than signature weapon for alhaitham
look great on Alhaitham
Alhaitham more focused on normal atk, not skill and burst
What it means by “its CRIT rate” seems only affect skill and burst (same as The Catch)
This weapon only fit for sub dps or dps with skill dmg as normal atk only (so far only nilou does skill dmg as normal atk)
Also not bad for Ayaka or Keqing (since keqing frequently spam skill with Thundering Fury) or aggrevate Kazuha with Thundering Fury
But I don’t think this weapon worth the money for them
Most of the AlHaitham damage come sfron Elemental skill. The fact that it triggers on normal attacks doesn’t make it normal attack. Otherwise, Haran could have been better than his own Signature. His signature, as well as his kit is more focused on his elemental skill damage. The fact that this sword greatly buffs Elemental skill amd has Crit substat makes it awesom choice. I would say that it’s on level of mistsplitter for this specific case, but it depends and needs further calculations
nice sword for Albedo wanters w/out Cinnabar Spindle, if its true that he’s rerunning in Fontaine
another weapon which is too good to be released
remember how xiphos’ moonlight and similar weapons were at the beginning, before their nerf..
nah, this will be changed. Ref 1 will be 8%, and 16% at R5
27% rate + 32% extra skill and burst + another 4% x 4 stacks is too much for crapphoyo, trust me bro, they won’t like this
it is BP weapon . current have same base stat and better affix
As always the best weapon in BP series is the sword
First BP serie, it was the claymore =)
Eeh sorry disagree. Spine has a con, passive reduced if you take damage. Blacksword has no con.
yeah serpent spine is wayy better than black sword like the amount of damage you gain from it is so insane that for pretty much every dps claymore (except dehya lol) its up there with their BIS. and compare that to black sword where a few characters can use it well but it still leaves you wanting to pull for a 5* weapon for your selected character
i thought this was Keqing’s Signature as seen in her Splash art. actually different
Xiphos Moonlight is still broken (34%-36% ER for a 1000ish EM Kazuha at R1 with the same amount of EM as other alternatives). So much so, in fact, that they made it a banner-exclusive weapon.
PLEASE God let this work from off field
it doesn’t, unless it specifically says it does, then it doesn’t
Ayaka: this weapon + blizzard strayer = cr substat becomes def and hp substat to my girl
Isn’t this a claymore? This dosen’t look like a sword.
“Family Weapon, Sword”
SOrry I didn’t notice
for a second i thought this would finally be dehya buff but then i realized it was sword instead of claymor 😔
How would this be a “Dehya buff”? You made no sense. Also, thanks for stating that you are still crying over a character that you do not understand.
i see this as an absolute win for Kaeya!
I totally agree. My Keaya Melt will appreciate this ! At R5 it’s close to Lion’s Roar damage boost without any condition and offer way more with this tons of crit =O
But long way to R5 it… xP
