Item Story
Les chevaliers distingués de l'Ordre de Favonius, que ce soit le fruit du hasard ou du destin, ont pour la plupart un nom de chevalier et un totem inspirés de deux personnages : Le premier est le titre et la renommée du Lion, hérités du premier Grand Maître de l'Ordre de Favonius. Et le second, à peu près de la même époque, est le Loup Chevalier, Borée. Il n'y a, en vérité, aucune trace du Chevalier de Borée. L'origine du nom vient plutôt d'histoires qui circulaient à cette époque. À la fin du conte, le marchand (ou fermier) dont la fille a été sauvée demande : « Je ne sais pas comment nous pourrons vous remercier un jour, ô honorable chevalier ? » Ce à quoi le chevalier répondit : « Quand ta précieuse fille sera mariée, lève ton verre pour porter un toast. » « Ah ! Je suis vraiment désolé... Si je dois porter un toast, puis-je humblement demander votre nom, ô chevalier ? » Le chevalier réfléchit un instant et répondit ainsi : « Alors tu devrais porter un toast à mon compagnon. Il s'appelle « Borée ». » Cette histoire se termine généralement comme suit : À ce moment-là, dans la forêt (ou à flanc de montagne, ou à l'abri des regards), une soudaine rafale souffle. Le marchand (ou le fermier) regarde dans cette direction, mais ne voit qu'une paire d'yeux bestiaux dans l'obscurité, froide comme la glace. Ces deux lumières disparaissent rapidement. Lorsque le marchand (ou le fermier) revient à lui, le chevalier est parti lui aussi. Il existe de nombreuses versions de l'histoire, mais la fille est toujours sauvée, et le chevalier ne donne jamais son nom. Mais avant que l'histoire ne soit une histoire, il n'était qu'un étrange voyageur vêtu d'un manteau poussiéreux et en lambeaux. Certains ont remarqué l'armure magnifiquement conçue, mais usée au combat sous la cape. Mais ça ne voulait rien dire. Peut-être que le porteur de l'armure n'était qu'une autre âme perdue qui avait perdu sa position prestigieuse avec les changements apportés par la révolution. Le propriétaire de la taverne a remarqué que l'homme payait avec de vraies pièces d'or et d'argent, bien que personne ne reconnaisse les symboles dessus. Cependant, ça ne signifiait rien non plus, car l'or et l'argent n'ont pas de maître et changent toujours de mains. Par ailleurs, personne ne dirait du mal d'un client qui paie toujours sa note et qui n'est pas enclin à l'ivresse tapageuse. Pour sa part, l'histoire vient d'un démon serpent qui est arrivé sur les rives de Mondstadt depuis la mer au-delà de l'horizon, suivant le courant de chaleur et de paix. Au début de l'Ordre de Favonius, alors qu'ils n'en étaient encore qu'à leurs balbutiements, le chevalier sans nom quitta la ville pour chasser les démons en échange d'une pièce d'argent. L'odeur du sang et des charognes en décomposition sur la plage a attiré des milliers de faucons, qui ont tourné en rond pendant des jours. Ainsi, la véritable origine du nom de la Côte du Faucon ne vient pas de la légende romanesque du Faucon de l'Ouest. Dans les années qui ont suivi, les chevaliers de l'Ordre de Favonius ont fait tout leur possible pour convaincre le chevalier sans nom de les rejoindre, mais il n'a jamais accepté. En réalité, l'origine du nom « Borée » vient probablement d'un événement qui s'est produit entre le Grand Maître des premiers jours de l'Ordre de Favonius et le chevalier sans nom. Le Grand Maître, ayant perdu patience après avoir été rejeté d'innombrables fois, a fait encercler le chevalier sans nom dans la rue. Les deux phrases de l'histoire transmises par les générations suivantes se sont produites lorsque le chevalier sans nom « Borée » est parti. Bien que l'idée générale soit fondamentalement la même, le ton des deux parties n'était pas si formel. Mais une telle histoire serait extrêmement ennuyeuse si elle était racontée telle quelle en poésie. C'est pourquoi des bardes talentueux ont pris cette histoire, l'ont combinée avec des événements entourant le chevalier pendant qu'il était à Mondstadt, et en ont tissé une multitude d'histoires. Bien qu'il ne soit resté que quelques années à Mondstadt, son souvenir est impérissable. |

those crit rate increase is complete gimmick.
what it means by “its CRIT Rate” means if elemental skill hit opponent, then only elemental skill crit rate increase by 2% per hit.
same rule applied to elemental burst.
that alone makes this weapon limited to certain character.
this weapon is good for sub dps e.g kaeya, xinqiu, layla, albedo also good for character with frequent skill/burst usage or skill dmg as normal atk e.g nilou, and of course future hydro traveler.
ayaka seems okay with this, but crit rate sub stat is useless for her.
what about dps carry with normal atk like ayato, alhaitham, keqing? not good of course…
alhaitham main dmg source is from his skill so 35% crit on his skill at R1. It’s a major improvement over other f2p options
that’s still not bad at all, especially when a lot of sword characters’ main source of dps is their skill and burst
Most of Alhaitham’s damage comes from his elemental skill. His projection attacks are considered elemental skill damage. So it’s still great on him.
Alhaitham’s normal attack is very small portion of dmg, this one is EXTREMELY good on alhaitham and might even better than 5 stars weapon (except of course his BiS 5 star), even at R1, 16% elem skill dmg is good for his main source of dmg, plus increases crit rate over time 8% on R1 (35% crit rate max potential), this on R5 it beats Primodal jade cutter due to its passive effect (32% elem and burst dmg, 43% crit rate), the same thing can be applied to Keqing, because another thing to note spread/aggravate dmg also takes this bonuses (from skill and burst), and keqing would rather want charge attack over normal attack, with TF artifact you will most likely spam skill then burst more often due to ez energy accumulation, so normal attack boost is very small bonus for these two.
if Ayaka is build for Melt or nuke burst dmg, this is also good on her and without using the blizzard 4-pc, because only freeze team or mono cryo where crit rate is not as effective than usual. With this, you could go for Noblese/Blizzard 2pc or 4 pc emblem, compare to 4 pc blizzard which is most of the time 20% crit rate bonus and dependent on cryo status on enemies (40% if frozen) which is why she is currently optimized for freeze teams.

Also if you already have umbrella weapon, spending 15$ only for this weapon is basically not worth it.
And who gonna use this on sub dps anyway if already got favonius or sacrificial sword?

What it means by “its CRIT rate” seems only affect skill and burst (same as The Catch)
This weapon only fit for sub dps or dps with skill dmg as normal atk only (so far only nilou does skill dmg as normal atk)
Also not bad for Ayaka or Keqing (since keqing frequently spam skill with Thundering Fury) or aggrevate Kazuha with Thundering Fury
But I don’t think this weapon worth the money for them
Most of the AlHaitham damage come sfron Elemental skill. The fact that it triggers on normal attacks doesn’t make it normal attack. Otherwise, Haran could have been better than his own Signature. His signature, as well as his kit is more focused on his elemental skill damage. The fact that this sword greatly buffs Elemental skill amd has Crit substat makes it awesom choice. I would say that it’s on level of mistsplitter for this specific case, but it depends and needs further calculations

yeah serpent spine is wayy better than black sword like the amount of damage you gain from it is so insane that for pretty much every dps claymore (except dehya lol) its up there with their BIS. and compare that to black sword where a few characters can use it well but it still leaves you wanting to pull for a 5* weapon for your selected character

Xiphos Moonlight is still broken (34%-36% ER for a 1000ish EM Kazuha at R1 with the same amount of EM as other alternatives). So much so, in fact, that they made it a banner-exclusive weapon.

I totally agree. My Keaya Melt will appreciate this ! At R5 it’s close to Lion’s Roar damage boost without any condition and offer way more with this tons of crit =O
