No. XG is Burst focused. So emblem is still on the game. Assuming you have around 200 ER, it is still hard to compete with 50% Dmg increase.

If you are NA/CA focused, HoD might still be better.
if you are Burst focused, Emblem is on the top.
if your are E focused, well it depends? Is it consistent E damage or NA-conversion?
Lest assume you are playing Hyper-carry Nilou. I feel like the other HP new set would be more helpful. She gains up to 40% dmg with more valuable 20% HP. Considering how tanky Nilou is, it won’t hurt much to let her take frequent dmg.
15%-15% is a really weak offer comparing to the other great alternatives.

I… guess this is an upgrade for Childe’s burst damage, but he doesn’t really need it. Nothing about his teams or usage changes from it.
Kind of bizarre timing for a Hydro set with Nilou being the only recent Hydro, and she just wants EM and HP which this set has none of so…. idk. Not like Yelan or Xingqiu care about this more than Emblem either, and if you want to build Mona DPS instead of with a support set she’s probably better off with Emblem too. Seems like an awkward fit for Ayato as well, and Kokomi doesn’t care about the Atk buff at all.
Maybe the set is designed more for whatever the Hydro archon ends up doing and they wanna let us prefarm for her?

im guessing childe’s rerun will be up very soon, normally archon character is of supporting role, this artifact requires the character to be on field, so i doubt it’s for hydro archon.. but who knows hydro archon might be like Raeden who will be on field for quite a bit ? Either way this domain is OK-ish to prefarm till we know more bout hydro archon 🙂

I’m curious to see if Xinqiu’s damage reduction could snapshot the 4p hydro dmg bonus, and while only for 8 secs he also might benefit a from the atk increase on his burst, although 2p2p hydro dmg is probably way better, but yeah.

Xinqiu at talent level 10 would give 29% base Damage Reduction + 19,32% from turning 96,6% hydro damage into more DR, to a total of 48,32% for 15 seconds if bursting at c0, or 18 seconds at c2, while also having resistance to interruption during the whole duration, and his micro healing to any other team member.
On the other hand, Dehya while sure at talent level 10 she gives just a bit more than Xinqiu’s, with 50% Damage “Mitigation” (that will still be redirected to Dehya), it lasts only 12 seconds at c0, her resistance to interruption is only good for 9 seconds, and she doesn’t even heal anyone other than herself, so even with constellations increasing her e duration up to the same amount as Xinqiu’s, it don’t really seem so good in the long run, maybe at c5 where she gets a bit more mitigation from talent level, but at that point might as well on-field with her, that is if she doesn’t die from taking too much damage from other characters, so good luck with that.
Her self heals are way better than Xinqiu’s but I’m mostly talking from an off-field perspective here, which is how most people will probably end up using her, so yeah, I guess if you on-field she might be tankier, but only really viable to do so at c4-c5.

my answer to any question that about to ask “is this good on Ayato”
Short : Yesn’t,mostly NO
Long : Ayato Burst Snapshot,so if you want your Ayato burst snapshot new 4 pc hydro set you have to
pre-stacking before use burst,meaning you have to use E first then Q,which is something Ayato don’t want to do,also
stack from burst dmg can’t not be snapshotted by his Burst,get this new set for “it also affect both burst & NA instead just NA”

Actually quite thankful he doesn’t need this. Im already planning on using this set on both Childe and Mona (im a tryhard Mona fan, ok?? also screw emblem) and knowing my Ayato is fine with his artis makes me happy.
It said when NA, CA, E, Q hits the enemy, not saying “deal Elemental damage”, so you could make Ayato uses 5 NA first, then Q and E.
you can start with E on 3 stacks but you will miss out on your burst’s NA buff
or start with burst on 2 stacks
or albedo’s elevator and get that plunge stack XD

Depends how play your aYato. mine can do around 25k with melt. some dmg increase there won’t hurt. A good amount, not all, of the lost 20DMG can be compensented through the ATK bonus. Thus, giving greater dmg balance.
And the optimal way to play Ayato is : Q –> Rotation –> E. It activates the passive and by the time you get back on field with his E, you might full your Q’s charge.
