Item Story

  1. Bloom, Hyper and Burgeon only uses EM + char level
does not use atk% atk flat or even damage% (except if specified in the skill of some character)

  2. The party wide atk buff on this is actually pretty bad. Don’t even consider this for your supports when ttds exists. Maybe only viable on sucrose, depending on the team.

    • You shouldn’t do that, 165 is kinda low, You should try Sacrificial Fragments, it has over 200 EM on 90. Nahida takes advantage on lots of EM, aside from Sac Frag, only her signature can do better.

      • Actually Magic Guide is stronger than sac frags, mostly because of its passive, and sac frags passive is pretty much useless on Nahida. Wandering Evening star is still a good option for a more supportive Nahida build as it buffs her and her teammates damage.

    • Raidon can be a DPS, if you don’t want to use her, Keqing and Cyno are great, although I prefer Keqing for easy rotations and it’s easy to get her (due to 50/50 and the standard banner).

          • Fam, I am either missing something or they said Cyno unironically. Two choices. One or the other.

          • After further considerations, I realize this weapon is useless in a Bloom focused team.

Let say you are playing the premium team : Nahida-Kokomi-Traveler-Nilou.
            Nilou : not ATK focused.
Kokomi : her jellyfish, maybe? Not ATK-focused.
Traveler : Mine is EM focused, can rock-hit 30-40k dmg with Bloom. Not Atk focused.
The passive is not needed in a Bloom Team.

Let’s say my Nahida has 1000 EM.
            She’ll gain 240 ATK. Flat… Having a R5, it’ll be 480 ATK…. This weapon is making a joke of Bennet.

For Nahida you, have 3 great choice.
            – Sacrificial : 221 EM and useful passive for cracking 16 enemies.
            – Magic Guide : 187 EM and juicy 24% DMG on Hydro/Electro status enemies.
            – Wandering : 165 EM and a passive that balances your Nahida’s dmg.

            Good luck testing. I’m out.

  6. Even if it seems to be good for nahida on paper, IT’S NOT.

Even at R5 and 900+ EM, It’s 11% weaker than a R5 Magic Guide (A 3* weapon). The atk scaling on nahida is just way to small to make it competitive with bonus dmg weapons like her signature weapon, magic guide, mappa mare or kagura verity.
The ATK buff to other party members is way too low too. Even at 1000 EM, that traslates to only 144 flat atk to the party (And is even more negligible if you plan to use her on a quicken or bloom comp, where flat ATK is not too valuable).

    • Her Sig Weapon and another 5* weapon better than this?!?! Duh
Her ATK scaling are actually the same as her EM scaling, if you have reached her 1k EM for her A4 passive already, so don’t just disregard it. That downgrades the Magic Guide by a lot.
Mappa Mare is only good on her if you play her onfield and absoluty crap otherwise, same with solar pearl.

Wandering Evenstar might not be a good weapon if the rest of your team doesn’t scale well with atk, but otherwise its fantastic, especially in an aggrevate team where most of them do.

      • Lot of copium in this thread. EM value was clearly not disregarded OP said as much, Magic Guide is just better (I assume for her on-field DPS build), math was done, calm down :D. Bonus damage is not shit, because “oi, she already got some of that, so basically trash”, diminishing returns start past 100% and her passive 80% buff applies to elemental skill damage only, so that’s where Magic Guide gains value (still assuming we talk on-field), as long as you hit targets affected by hydro or electro AKA always. And if 144 flat attack is “15% buff for 5 star character with 5 star weapon” I would start by leveling both from their current level of 20, lol, or did you uneqip artifacts? That one comment about how it’s “basically Noblesse”, that one was surely a meme, I’m not worried there. If it’s FLAT attack, then it indeed is not BASE attack, so your bonus ATK% is not applied on top of it. It’s just +144 to your final ATK value, assuming you have R5 (you probably don’t) and 1000 EM (you should, but who knows). If you play her off-field though, feel free to equip whatever, as long as it has EM on it, it probably doesn’t matter, unless you really crave those +40EM from signature. If you can somehow get 1000EM without EM on weapon, equip Thrilling Tales, the actual good ATK buffing codex … 😀

    • “Only 144” but I don’t really think this is that far behind a 20% buff of a Noblesse Oblige set (considering low base attack character/weapons), and this one has a 100% uptime, at R5 it looks kinda decent.

That being said, it looks really bad at lower refinements, it could use some buffs to work better without reaching R5

    • I disagree… I think the passive is extremely useful for reaction teams, which is obviously what people will go for if we’re talking about Dendro.
Magic Guide only gives 20 EM more and the passive does not work with any party members other than the holder, so it’s useless.
The ATK buff might be “low” but there’s also the EM buff which, at R1, is about 240 EM (achieving 1000 EM on Nahida will be fairly easy since that’s her ascension stat). That’s quite a lot of EM and it’s going to be triggered all the time. And even better at higher refinements!
Personally, I think this weapon is going to make my Nilou bloom team absolutely insane!

    • 480 attack to self and 144 to 3 other characters is not shit. Magic Guide and Mappa are both bad because Nahida already gets like 80% bonus damage just from her passive. Attack is more valuable to her than bonus damage is. 144 flat attack is anywhere from 5% to 10% extra damage when your total attack on a character can range from 2880 to 1440.

    • “Only” 144 flat atk?
You do realize that’s like 15% buff for 5 star character with 5 star weapon, right?

      100% uptime 15% atk buff.

      For 4 star characters, that’s like 20%!
And it’s a weapon, so you can stack it with VV and Noblesse.

  7. Might be the BiS for Nahida (Besides her signature weapon)
From leaks it’s likely she is scalling of EM, she has low CD Skill (so sacrificial would not ideal) Catalyst characters also often have low Base ATK making a big difference for them. Mappa Mare might be solid however. also might have ER issues so the new craftable weapon might be good but assuming she has EM buffing capabilities it might not make a big different such as with someone with now EM buffs abilities (and her burst possibly not being the focus of her kit kinda like with Zhonglis burst) well we will see when we get there I’ll try to get it but its up to you

    • okay first, the base atk thing is not true, as Klee and Yae sports respectivly 310 and 340 base atk, on par with other weapon type attacker (tho she is likely to have around 287, like mona)
The leaks state that Nahida like to have EM, but her kit dmg do not scale on it directly.
I tried make some earlier math, assuming her 5* passive as the same as cyno’s BiS, and heck that make her attack hit 3000 in some cases (with a base attack under spread hitting for 12k with mistwood and resonance)
But yes, this weapon is moss likely the BiS 4* for her

      • As we see from updated leaks now, we know that she has a very low burst cost so we don’t have to worry too much.
As for Widsith, Widsith would absolutely be her BiS IF the passive’s duration wasn’t so short and the cooldown so long. You’ll get a super strengthened buff that you could take advantage of for only 10 seconds (slightly less if you don’t have elemental reactions going on before using her E and burst) and then will have 20 seconds of downtime will no buffs.
So between the Widsith and this Wandering Evenstar, the one that is the 4* BiS depends on how much you could take advantage of the short window during Widsith’s passive, or if the more consistent strength of Evenstar is better for your rotation.

    • As you said, leaks are saying Nahida will apparently have a high cost burst, meaning this weapon might be a bit hard for her to use while having good burst uptime, which I assume will probably have an EM increasing effect for the party. With this weapon she’ll have ER issues without atleast fav on someone else and without funnelling particles to her. The buff itself is good but not amazing- I don’t think that its a worthwhile trade off for an ER weapon or other EM weapons which can help more with damage, especially since atk doesn’t really matter in most dendro reactions, with the most it does is help with aggravate a little. The weapon will synergise with the fact that she will be an EM unit, but the effect won’t be much good for dendro comps. Having an EM weapon on her even if she does have EM boosting skills is still a good choice since her main source of damage is ofc EM as she will be reaction focused- with the biggest hurdle with her kit probably being balancing EM and ER on her while also having good burst uptime.
My prediction for her best weapons is probably Fruit of Fulfillment for second BiS- since it has ER substat and gives a really good amount of EM. Other good options being; Sac if her skill CD is 10s+, Mappa Mare is a decent option like you said since it can increase DMG bonus in spread/aggravate setups but has ER problems, Fav for energy if you have enough EM from artifacts but not enough ER, Widsith is good for spread damage but has ER problems, Hakushin ring can have support synergy in electro reaction comps, specifically aggravate/slow hyperbloom+aggravate and has ER substat. The 3* Magic guide is a surprisingly good weapon, especially for aggravate, but also runs into the same issue of ER.
Another thing about Fav is that it will also lower the ER requirements for other units on your team by a little, meaning you can put more into EM on their substats, so it might be a good option for high ER teams, which have to give up damage for ER.
However, take all of this ofc with a truck of salt, since its all speculation and based off of leaks which might not even turn out to be true in the end, but we’ll find about her kit soon anyway.
