Item Story
"Kreuzlied, have you ever heard the pipes call out in the dusk?"
"Have you heard a voice in the wind sing: farewell, goodbye forever?"
"We shall not weep for you, for the night breeze will bear our tears away."
"Yes, comrade, it shall bear our tears away."

They say that there was once a traveling musical troupe who conspired to assassinate the ruling house.
Among them was a renegade noble scion named Kreuzlied.
A tune was written for him after the plot failed.

His real name was, of course, not "Kreuzlied," and has been lost to time.
The word Kreuzlied itself used to mean "The Quartering Song" in the old tongue.
In those days when the nights grew long and the dark hung low, quartering was a cruel punishment that left its victims begging for the release of death.
Deserters, bandits, rebels and makers of moonshine would be executed in public in this manner, while the ruling aristocracy basked in their dreadful cries.
In those days when one could not see the light of dawn, "Kreuzlied" became a byword for those who rose up and failed.
But in this way, it also became the rallying cry for rebellion.

The Kreuzlied of the traveling troupe has had their name lost to time, yes.
But it matters not, for by then, Kreuzlied had already taken on countless monikers carried on the wind in song:
"The Nameless Shepherd." "Imunlaukr." "Midnight Rogue."
"Dawnlight." "Gunnhildr." "Ragnvindr."
Till at last the final Kreuzlied would awaken from a thousand-year slumber,
Answering the small cry of a foreign maiden who had drifted to this land,
Just as he had once been born from the wish of a certain youth...

The songs that told of Kreuzlied would be fashionable for a time.
But in the end, they would leave the lips of men, for in the time after the darkness, there was no longer any need for this name.
"Kreuzlied, have you ever seen the horizon turn white?"
"Have you heard the maiden sing to the wind: farewell, goodbye forever?"
"The morning sun has kissed away my tears, and told me that dawn has broken,"
"O my lover, the dawn, it has broken."

The way it’s written (alongside with other item lore) the wielder of the bell weapon was definitely former noble exiled after a family tiff. What the description is getting more at imho is the idea of the “Kreuzlied” archetype – a rebellious hero, whoever their “real” indentity happens to be. It goes as far as to equate how in the end anything from archon or outlander to a knight in a right spot might take the same role.

No, Grand Master Varka did not go missing in Dragon spine. He went to an expidition with some of Mondstadts Elites. Lastly, there is no confirmation about his vision.

Pretty sure it was the bard that Venti took the form of. Maybe this set of weapons are linked to the upcoming Mondstadt event after 1.3?

Connecting with what little we know from the other sets, I wonder if this bard was an outlander (otherworlder) who later became part of the Knights of Favonious. But who?

Was it Varka? Is Varka an Outlander?

Varka is the last Grand Master before Jean, he went missing in Dragonspine, thats why she is the “Acting” Grand Master, as in she is a temporary replacement for him.
      He is a dendro user.

Where did you get the “missing in Dragonspine” and “dendro user” from? Varka is off with the rest of the knights on an expedition, and nowhere does it say he’s dendro. If he’s any element he’s anemo.

Demone said in CBT there’s a hint of character silhouettes with an outline of their respective elements and their name at the top of the silhouette I forgot who the other is but Varka’s silhouette looks like a spartan commander (yes in my eyes I see a spartan helmet on his silhouette but ofc I could be wrong) and his element outline is light green/lime and that’s why people are speculating that he’s either Dendro or Anemo and yes again I could be wrong so don’t quote me on this

That “leak” was pretty much debunked and likely to be fake.

First of all, that silhouette had a name and it wasn’t Varka. Secondly, I’m pretty sure those were just character concepts that never made it to the game
