Change this weapon main stat to attack this will be decent for my fishcl
Hmm… I tried to calculate if this bow can deal more burst damage for Yelan with eosf set than Favonius bow or not.
lvl 90 Favonius bow has 61.3% ER = 15.325% burst damage bonus
lvl 90 Fading Twilight has 30.6% ER = 7.65% burst damage bonus
The difference is 61.3 – 30.6 = 30.7%ER ——> 7.675% burst damage bonus difference
R5 Fading Twilight gives 12% / 20% / 24% damage bonus.
So, Fading Twilight gives more burst, skill and breakthrough barb damage than Favonius Bow, while Favonius Bow make Yelan recharge her burst easier and gives more energy to the team.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
Well,
your calculation is on damage is correct if we only consider weapon.
You need to consider that 30.7% ER aswell. If you have 200+ ER, you will drop to 170+ which should be enough. If you are at 170 ER, then you drop to 140 and there your Yelan will actually lose damage (not per hit, but per rotation). You can use ER Sands to compensate, but then you lose solid portion of 46% HP and that will cost you damage.
So if you want to use this bow with ease, you should have at least 20-30% ER on substats while remaining solid CV. So this bow will be tricky.
While at first this bow looked amazing to me, after comparing it with other bows, it seems more like a nice “jack of all trades, master of none” since it doesn’t really accel in any one area. In terms of ER favonius is better since it has a higher ER stat and makes white particles, but the fading twilight has much better damage with its passive and atk stat, while still having an ER stat. However, then there is stringless which outclasses FT in terms of damage, with its passive which is basically broken at r5- and even if you don’t have stringless at R5, the damage is still fantastic. The EM stat can help even more for whatever reactions you are running. Even if you run FT or Fav with emblem, 25% of either of their ER cant match up to stringless damage. Only issue is that stringless might have more energy problems because of the lack of ER. Alley Hunter is another good bow, with a similar effect to stringless and higher base damage with an ATK bonus stat, but is only available on weapon banners, so its much more difficult to get a hold of.
In short nice bow if you dont have stringless, but if you do, then stringless is probably better- depending on what comps and artifacts you are running. It can also function as a nice sub bow if your stringless is being used by someone else.
This bow is to a character who need ER and the same time want to do damage. Could be great for Yelan and Sara for example, they need ER, they uses Emblem and have e high ATQ stats and dmg passive.
This bow sucks for Yelan
yelan doesn’t need high base attack lol she scales of HP
This person is not wrong except the last part.
Lol I only have Fav bow and 3* bows, do you guys think I should put the Fav on Diona and put this for Venti or Rust is still better?
Woops not rust the 3* EM bow, forgot its name.
Raven bow isnt that good on Venti. This bow is surely your best pick for him ^-^
I think it’s a decent bow for Yelan. yet, I think they could’ve reduced the time it takes to change “the bow’s state” into maybe 4 seconds tops? Yes, I do think the damage will be there… but the thing is, the game right now is all about how fast you can clear enemies in game modes like the abyss (or some other events that give the maximum reward based on how much enemies you have killed in a given time) because we all know that this game ‘currently’ (might be permanent who knows) is all about doing damage in a short amount of time.
But yeah, still a decent bow in my opinion.
seems like not on the same caliber as Festering desire, Albedo’s weapon and catch, or even Dodoco tales.
You know what, I’ll build this bow for her. It looks sooooo Elegant with ER susbtats and an end percent damage bonus, sooo good. This seems like the catch but in bow form. The ER substat, although quite low, will still help Yelan with my current farmed build of EoSF and Burst uptime. If they gave this bow more ER, it will be quite cracked already. People, this is a wholly free weapon. They have to balance it somehow. Compare this with other weapons like the windblume’s ode, cinnabar spindle and dodoco tales. All of these weapons have limiter and are usuable in only some of the characters. Giving this bow a higher base atk would enable it to be a good alternative for other characters, not just Yelan.
thing is while this bow looks decent for most characters, we cant instantly assume its made for yelan, the base attack is rather high, ER is a bit low, i personally think if you dont have a good weapon for yelan like a CR/CD weapon or an ER% weapon this is totally a viabale option, but it is NOT specifically made for her, i feel like they went with these stats to make the weapon more generalized, after that albedo sword, am sure f2p players would love this bow.
Favonius Warbow is a free weapon. Is way better option than this piece of crap.
Fam the fav bow is heavily into utility while this one is heavily into damage, if you compare them utility wise the fav bow is way better, damage wise this one is way better, learn to compare things objectively
Dude, the fav bow is better damage since Yelan needs a lot of help with her energy, Fav doesn’t just beat it with damage (via lowering her ER requirements, letting you stack other stats on your artifacts), but it also has utility to boot like you said
It’s so good that theorycrafters consider it her 2nd best weapon behind Aqua
The whole narrative changes when she’s at C1. ER requirement would be drastically lower so any excess amount takes away the opportunity for higher DPS. So no, Fading Twilight is not completely useless.
agreed, glad i got 1 ready for her
I think it’s easy to see that fav/sac, stringless, and this occupy a similar space within 4-star bows– there are situations where any of the three can be the optimal choice.
This bow is better than Elegy of the End ? I planned to use Elegy of End + pcs Emblem with HP% cup is it worth ?
*Waiting for them to realise it’s a Collei weapon*
This weapon is also good on Gorou, right?
It’s fine, since he really just wants ER bow, but favonius would probably be better so that he can also provide energy for the rest of the party. This is especially true in teams without a Geo battery and if you’re running Noelle as main DPS since she generates no particles
Well the point of these free weapons is that everyone can actually get them. I’ve been playing since a week after launch and the only favonius weapons that I have are the catalyst and the sword. It is all just RNG so tons of people (who aren’t whales) will need some of these weapons to help fill the gaps on their accounts.
lmao did you recycle the bow?? u can get it for free at ar18 or smth
that bow is useful for Kujou Sara
Actually you’re right! High base atk, energy recharge substat, basically all she really wants
this weapon sucks what will i do with the base atk?
this is literally a 4 star weapon what more did you want
burst duration is 15 seconds. 18 seconds cooldown. Her E is per 10 seconds. We could have used her E twice or so every rotation so thats 8 hydro particles – 24 energy. Lets put a battery in there, maybe Raiden in national team -24 energy. so she needs 46 energy. Without accounting for anything else, she could slap on the bow, emblem sets and an ER sand and that’s 200% ER and she can have 100% burst uptime
and this bow is actually usable for all bow character. nice base damage, meh ER, but then there’s 28% damage dealt which is quite nice. EVERYONE can use it. Unlike that albedo sword who only he can use.
lol why do you all think this is for yelan? she doesnt need the atk from the buff lol she scales purely off of hp. i mean support i guess but stringless is probs better option.
The buff is not an atk buff it’s a dmg buff so it’s nice
It’s not an attack buff like Bennett, it’s a damage buff like 4pc NO
4pc NO is +25% Atk…….
Read it carefully
the bow doesn’t give an attack buff but rather an overall damage bonus which is different from attack. Think of it as an extra multiplier on top of your damage.
Hey dude,
You should practice Reading.
It says Damage% increases, not Attack% increases.
its dmg dealt not just attack.. it count all output damage
i agree that this weapon is not meant for her, however the buff isnt attack based it increases the damage dealt so it would boost her damage
i dont understand why there r so many stupid guys ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑.
Obviously he meant the base attack of this bow 565 is useless.
The bow can have 0 Atk and it would still be useful on Yelan wtf are you on
Uhh the og comment says “Buff” not “Base attack”
Its a DAMAGE BONUS buff. Plz get reading glasses.
lol u illiterate ? it’s all dmg% not atk%. it has almost similar passive to serpent spine, one of the most broken claymore in the game
you need 21 second to get full stack. What useless weapon is this?
Also this definitely isn’t for yelan, she cant use the high base attack and ER matters to her more, which is low here. This is most likely best on fischl, sara, maybe amber or support ganyu
14 and yes still bad
Your reading it wrong. There will always be a damage buff but the catch is it’s 7 secs per state no stacking. So you need to know which one your on and use your skill / burst during the highest damage state assuming your attack snapshots. Also because its a damage buff and not a attack buff it’s still useful for Yelen.
if this bow is for yelan why the energy recharge is low and base atk high -_-
True dat. We all know that Mihoyo is Pepega. This bow would be so much better with 454 base atk and 60% ER.
I feel like this needs to be buffed to be useable. Right now it’s almost objectively worse than Favonius since it has half the ER. It’s also worse than Slingshot, a 3 star, since Yelan doesn’t care about base ATK and that bow gives a ton of crit and 60 DMG% if you’re using breakthrough barb.
because its FREE
They want her BiSweapon to have huge damage gap compare to this weapon or else they wouldnt generate sales.
this is good for yelan right?
it don’t mater if it has a high base arrack or not
454 atk and 61 er would be better for Yelan
Is this better than alley hunter r1?
The passive is about the same for both alley hunter r1 and fading twilight r5. Just use the one who has better stats for ur character (twilight if u need er, alley if u dont)
Will this be good for fischl?
Alley hunter and Stringless probably still better but as a F2P option this might be the best yes
i think so, yeah, and it’s f2p apparently too, which is great
