Item Story

"Get off the ship. Women are a hindrance here!"
The thief they called Ako Domeki turned and left.
But hearing this, the shrine maiden could not help by smile faintly.
If the person who had taught me archery had not gone forth to campaign alongside the Shogun,
Then our son would been the same age as Zaemon now.
And perhaps I would have come to be a Takamine, or he, an Asase...

Zaemon's tone, and the way he intentionally turns his back on me,
Is the spitting image of how he once did it, sword in hand.
This time, I will not let this person die.
Even if it means fighting against the Electro Mitsudomoe banner...

"Our fishing spears and swords have been sharpened. It is time to set sail."
"Well then, let's show those Shogunate lackeys Seirai's strength!"

Hearing the sea shanties greeting their departure, the shrine maiden set down her warbow.
She once secretly learned true "magic" on Mt. Yougou,
And though she felt sorry for her Master, the Tengu, she would use it here.
She would undo the great barrier that had held for a thousand years,
And she would set the resentment of the moribund violet glede free,
Allowing it to ravage the ships that flew the Electro Archon's banner.
She could only hope that that old cat wouldn't come charging into the storm...

If my ganyu use shimenawa artifact , can I still use hamayumi?.If I use prototype I cannot aim well and I cannot buy that bow from the shop.

No, shimenawa TAKES AWAY ENERGY. Both needs energy but uses them differently, Hamayumi needs you to have full energy while shimenawa needs to take away energy.

Don’t listen to that guy. You can but you need a battery for her and maybe some ER substat. Preferably the battery would use R5 Favonius weapon. So pretty much your Ganyu need to use her skill before the energy orb from the battery reach her.

yeah. even with non-full energy, hamayumi is very close to crescent, dps-wise, without needing to hit weakspot.

I don’t think we can call this Ganyu’s best in slot.

I currently use an R5 Blackcliff so I did some calculations while weighting in favor of Ganyu usually only having 0-1 stack on her Blackcliff and it still seems better in terms of damage especially for low-CR, 4-Blizz Freeze Ganyu.

Functionally, Blackcliff is also less restrictive on her playstyle – as main DPS, her Bloom AoE builds stacks quickly and as Burst/ Cryo applicator support, her Burst picks off weak enemies at high rate.

(For a 4-blizz freeze low-CR ganyu)R5 Hamayumi avg Bloom DMG sits around the 2-stack damage of an R5 Blackcliff but does not buff skill or burst damage. Comparing with Blackcliff’s overall average DMG across stacks, Hamayumi would only do 250 more bloom damage at the cost of weaker skill. weaker burst, and severely limited playstyle.

Blackcliff is more stylish on Ganyu because it is the same colors as her horns.

It is easier to get an R5 Blackcliff than an R5 Hamayumi since you are guaranteed to hit pity and receive Starglitters. If you are unlucky, its possible that you could never get 5 bow prototypes.

I think Hamayumi would perform better on a main DPS Melt Ganyu but by an insignificant margin. In this role, you can keep your energy at 100% since you don’t want to clear Pyro status from enemies where with freeze you always want to use it to get the frozen CR buff.

Crescent is also bad since offsetting the huge amount of ATK% with an EM Sands is not as damage effective with Reverse-Melt role Cryo characters as it is with Pyro characters. Trying to optimize in this way also further restricts Ganyu to a Main DPS Melt role. God you are all so bad.

if you are trying to build Hamayumi for Ganyu you are bad and you should git gud and stop committing the equivalent of domestic violence against your gentle ice goat waifu and you should feel bad.

    calc notes
((On -MY- R5 Blackcliff Freeze Ganyu, 0 stacks gives 10,150 avg bloom DMG ~ 3 stack: 13,500 DMG.
Average overall damage across stacks weighted in favor of 0~1 stack is 11,250 [0-stk*2+1-stk*2+2-stk+3-stk/6])

    (Hamayumi R2 sub-100 energy DMG was 11,000 & 100-energy was 12,000; R5 sub-100 was 11,600, 100 was 13,000.))

    Have a nice day

Imagine wasting 144 starglitters on a weapon that instantly become useless the moment you got any *5 bow lol. 28.8 rolls isn’t cheap and can be used to help hitting pity on Amos or extra cons on Ganyu. I’ll stick with Crescent + 4pc BS until i get *5 bow since it works on my machine.

The lower the investment the more dmg hamayumi provides per charge shot. At higher investment R5 blackcliff at 3 stacks does as much as a R1 hanayumi at 100 energy, which is the same as R5 sub 100 energy. You can start an abyss chambers with max energy, but you can’t star with max blackcliff stack additionally in floor 12 you are fighting small amounts of enemies.

Assuming you use 3 minutes to clear the chamber for 3 stars, and there are 2 waves of enemies, which all of floor 12 except the maguu kenki. You will be at 3 stack for 30s to 45s.

The difference in burst damage at 3 stacks of blackcliff is a minor and irrelevant. If you are using support Ganyu this dmg is still irrelevant, because her job would be to apply cryo and not the mains source of dmg.

If you have an R5 blackcliff and can only do 10k average charge shots, that some massive copium.

This bow is worse that the 4* on Ganyu, at best its equal to it. It is pretty good for childe tho, it does basically the same amount of damage as rust

It actually bis 4* bow on ganyu, my current hamayumi deals 16k + 27k charged attack at r2, its kinda unfortunate that i dont have enough bow billet to craft at max refinement.

From my own comparison it’s only worth it on a melt ganyu where you dont ult cresent is 33k without reactions can reach 58k blooms with no buffs
Hamayumi is 30k without reactions with melt reaches 55k blooms before you use your billiets on prototype thou remember that in upper floors of the abyss alot of enemies don’t have weak spots or have ones that are very hard to hit
also my cresent is r5 while my hamayumi is only r1

now i use this 4* bow on Ganyu:
Hamayumi(1) > Prototype Crescent(5) if not hit on weakpoint, and
Hamayumi(1) = Prototype Crescent(5) if hit on weakpoint.

Just so people know, it is NOT a random chance to obtain the bow, it is a fixed chance based on how many days you open a chest from the conch guy.

Basically, just open a chest from the conch guy every single day for a week, so 7 chests, and you will get the diagram for the Bow.

Yeah it’s pretty annoying, but that’s how it’s done.

Location for this blueprint is from the conch guy exactly north of Tataratsuna (look for the huge conch house), you trade 3 conch shells to open a chest. You can only open 1 per day and its a chance you’ll get it there, aka its RNG. Proof and source is reddit.

In case anyone is still looking for where to get the diagram. It is from the conch guy. Random chance when opening one of the 3 chests to get the bow diagram.
