Item Story

An ancient bow, as hard as cast iron, that once belonged to a famed archer.
He once slayed monsters and bandits like silvergrass in the wind.
As he pursued mastery in the discipline of archery,
his string sang like unrelenting thunder,
and his arrows shone like sun-soaked iron rain.

In his twilight years, the archer had a revelation.
"The ultimate profundity of speech is the word withheld, and the ultimate profundity in archery is the arrow spared."

Thereafter, he never spoke again of arrows shot out of the sky.
Nor did he speak again of the foul monsters slain by iron arrows shot from an iron bow.

He buried his bow in the ground and went to live as a hermit amidst the hills.

Allegedly, the story of his death is as follows:
Every night, as the sound of a plucked string rang out from his home, a ray of brilliant purple light shot forth, and foul monsters dared not approach.
On the night of his death there was a storm. Amidst the howling wind and rain there was but a single clap of thunder. The accompanying bolt of lightning shot upwards, towards the sky, burning bright as the stars in the galaxy.

I wish Mihoyo only made weapons like this, short and easy to read passives. Not weapon passives make no sense and are as long as an essay.

r2 rust if you are running a full shimenawa set, because the new set makes you unable to use the 100% increase of the passive of Hamayumi, so if you are running 4 crimson witches or 2gradiator/shimenawa and 2 crimson witches you should use hamayumi

I really dont know whether to go for this or rust on yoimiya. On the one hand, my rust is r5 and already partially leveled while this may be a minimum of r2. Rust also has a playstyle that mostly ignores her charged attack and I don’t know if it is worth investing in them. Hamayumi also has some conflict with my planned artifact set (shimenawa’s reminiscence 4pc) but I can always change that if lavawalker or crimson witch would be beneficial. agh its so hard to choose

just go rust. it’s better, no need to wait for 100% energy too. And I mean, who use Yoimiya’s charge atk anyway? her charge is cool, sure, but it got no damage.

Definitely rust and if u have refinements it’s even better , you don’t use her charged attack anyway and you need her burst for the explosions .. This weapon would work as a f2p option for ganyu that’s it

i got r2 rust and 5 pcs bow billets soon to be r5 demon slayer which is better for yoimiya?

r2 rust with Shimenawa’s Reminiscence set vs. r5 demon slayer with crimson set?

or r2 rust with crimson set vs r5 demon slayer Shimenawa’s Reminiscence set?

      get lavawalker instead.
      or crimson + glad.
can be used on both weapon, but honestly just stick with rust and eventually try get its refine.
save billets for something else in the future.

for new AA set, it depends if u really want farm it.
its good if u get better substats than ur previous set (where i suggested).

Imo Rust is a little better for Normal Attacks while Demon-Slayer bow is a little better for more general purposes because it gives slightly higher atk. If you keep your Q fully charged all the time Demon-Slayer bow might give you the same dmg on Normal Attacks as Rust.

If you’re comparing them at the same refinements, unless you are exclusively using charged shots, Rust is better. And you can use your ult whenever you want with Rust whereas you may be compelled to not and keep your ult at 100% with Demon-Slayer Bow.

My Rust is R2. I would need to have Demon-Slayer at R3 and to keep my ult at 100% just for my auto-attack to surpass the universal passive on Rust.

Just FYI, this increased Normal Attack DMG is additive with whatever other increased element damage you have, meaning there are diminishing returns. Its not multiplicative alone.
