Item Story

In the early years of Liyue, the ocean was still the domain of wicked gods and great monsters.
Our ancestors set sail and sallied forth to do battle against a great sea monster, but few ever returned.

It was named "Baqiu" by the people of Liyue — the uncrowned lord of the watery depths.
As the storms breathed upon the surface of the sea (or perhaps it was the creature's own breath that brought the storms)
The tides would shatter dock and harbor as if they were but salt and sand,
And the waves would splinter boats like fragile Glaze Lilies.

Thus did Rex Lapis summon forth lengths of impregnable jade,
Some shaped like tide-devouring whales,
And others like soaring falcons,

When the jade leviathans were first forged, they brought fear and alarm to the oceanic titans, who trembled at the sight of them,
As they used impregnable nephrite for fangs and contended fiercely with them,
While the great birds of prey became spears that pinned the roaring beasts down within the dark, bottomless seas.
The whales forged of rock would in the end gain their freedom, returning to the distant mountains from whence they came.

As to the conclusion of this tale, the storytellers of the harbor city will say:
Today, the great whales of crystallized jade still swim free amid the cloud-shrouded adepti abodes,
And they leap and toss within the ocean of mists, singing their great whale-chorus amid the silence of the countless mountains.
But if the ocean were to ever again rise to threaten the land, they will once again rain down upon the dark waters like stone spears...

I hope the term for this weapon is a blow wound. If it was 44 blast rate Gadi Luke broke through the original 24 burst rate and then added the explosion rate of the head adverb, this will be very small for Diluk’s promotion.

If the Itto leaks are real this may be his weapon. But I think its probably not since this is a weapon for Liyue but I can still hope. There is Ganyu with her signature weapon Amos Bow that is lore wise from Mondsdat and its materials from Mondsdat.

I looked around for this weapon stats and i found one from sportskeeda site and here it is.

According to the leaked stats, the Primordial Jade claymore will have a base ATK of 48, which is increased to 674 at level 90 upon maxing it out. As a secondary stat, the claymore-type weapon provides a 4.8% Crit rate, which goes up to 22.1% when upgraded to level 90.

Your source’s stats exactly match those of the Primordial Jade-Winged Spear at level 90, personally I’d guess that they’re placeholder. That said, they still sound more reasonable to me than the one’s listed here. Currently this page says that the Primordial Jade Greatsword has base 536 attack at level 90, whereas the Primordial Jade Cutter has 542 base attack at level 90. It would seem very inconsistent to me if the Claymore weapon in this series had less base attack at 90 than the sword (of course the weapon has not released, and all these numbers could change). Based off of the stats of other Claymores I would expect this one to have a relatively higher base attack and a relatively lower crit rate.

I dont know, the stats for it is leaked and also was leaked that its passive will be similar to jade cutter most likely but yeah base and sub stats wise should be similar to jade spear and if thats the case then it be the best universal weapon to have.

            • RiP on 2 June 2021 at 7:06 am

Yeah 536 is a place holder for most weapons with not much info on em

I had to look up the site but heres the link to it with its leaked details of the weapon since Laura didnt post it up.

Will the weapon be released, and when if it happens?

It is probably that number. When the base atk is small, it means that the substat is the huge one. If it’s atk%, it’s probably a bad claymore because it does everything but it’s good at nothing like WGS. If it’s Crit Rate/DMG on the other hand, it’s a must have claymore.

if it has crit rate as a secondary stat like the other jade weapons, this could be really good for Eula. She has the highest base hp of all the claymore characters, so the passive will benefit her aswell

if the base attack really is 48, then this probably will only have a crit rate like 22% max and that’s a bad thing when the weapon affect is same as jade cutter. jade cutters low base high main is justified bc of that neat atk bonus, but this doesn’t go anywhere near gravestone atk.

Low base high main? The main on Cutter is not high. The main is low. The main stat is base attack. The secondary stat is crit rate.

no, base atk is base atk. why the hell would you consider base atk as main stat? all weapon has base atk. their main stat is their crit/atk%/any kind of stats there is. im sorry but your interpretation on weapon’s main stat is pretty dumb

What are you talking about? I have only ever heard anyone call the crit/phys dmg/atk % whatever other stat the sub-stat or secondary stat. The primary stat of all weapons is base attack precisely because all of them have it. That’s like insisting the main stat of a feather isn’t flat attack but the sub-stats just because feathers are always flat attack. You’re the one with the backwards reasoning.
