The sky-piercing fang. It once pierced the black-gold scales of the kingdom of the abyss, and cut the throats of the sons of ancient sinners. Mondstadt was once threatened by the shadow dragon Durin. Its jealousy for Mondstadt's prosperity begot evil, poisoning the land. In those dark days, Mondstadt was surrounded by monsters and barren lands. Hearing the people's cry for help, the Anemo Archon descended and awoke Dvalin. Dvalin rode the wind and soared up to the sky, fighting for all life. Blessed by the Anemo Archon, Dvalin fought the shadow dragon. Clouds broke, and the sky burned red as if the end of days was upon Mondstadt. Eventually, Dvalin's blessed fangs pierced through the throat of Durin. Durin fell, but Dvalin was poisoned by Durin's tainted blood. Unable to bear the pain, Dvalin fell unconscious. Even the most learned bards knew not where he slumbered. Centuries passed, and Dvalin's sacrifice was all but forgotten by Mondstadt. When Dvalin finally awoke, gone was his friend and the sound of his comforting lyre. And the ones he once protected now cowered in fear at the sight of him. Honor reclaimed, poison cleansed, Ballads shall give back a people's forgotten memory. A prayer, this sword is. May Dvalin's name be restored. |

Damn it. The same thing happened to me. At least Bennett can use it and Jean can use the Festering desire instead. 🙁
Definitely the worst one-handed sword of all 5* swords and maybe even the worst 5* weapon in the game. Energy recharge is the most useless stat that can only be useful to a support character. But some 4* swords have more energy recharge and, for example, Bennett’s support can be used with the same success. And even a special ability in the form of inflicting additional damage in the amount of 20% of the attack is practically useless because always deals physical damage and does not convert to elemental damage (and do not forget that activating this ability also requires you to constantly use ult).
Does the bonus atk speed and mov speed afect other characters when u change? When i use Xiao after Jean E he seems to attack faster than before.
Maybe this is just my impresion, thats why i came to ask, maybe some of you have tested it.
No, it doesn’t. The buff (blue-ish glow) doesn’t transfer to other party members. Also, you only get the buff when using Elemental burst (Q) not Elemental Skill (E)
The Skypiercing Might works like Cresent Pike passive. To maximize this sword potential, you need to:
-Physical build
-Spamming burst
Keqing with physical build and electro resonance can brings out this sword full potential because her burst has 12 CD, same as this sword passive duration.
With a second electro in your team, you can literally spam burst with the amount of ER that the sword provides. But only 20% of Atk is kinda meh, you really want those refinements. 20 to 40% is a biiiiiiiiiiig difference (doubled Attacks with doubled DMG which also scale). Also, since the Keqings E converts her AA into electro, it won’t synergize well with Physical Build. Skyward Blade is more likely tailor-made for Ayaka + electro turret character (=Fischl) for superconduct.
Jade Cutter is still a better option for Keqing, I guess.
R5 Skyward Blade is godly with godroll Artefacts. On R1 its trash, but decent for bennet support. R5 will transform future Ayaka into a DPS Monster -> 40% additional Hits with Superconduct. But who will get R5 on this lul
this sword is soooooooo bad in every single aspect, what were they thinking? sword users are gimped?
as an update to this: its february 24 and I pulled this sword on the GS/Homa banner, safe to say I am NOT happy at all gentlemen!
