An ancient prototype sword from Liyue's arsenal. The batch number has faded and no records exist to confirm the date of production. A swirling cloud motif is etched into the body of the blade, which gives it a faint golden glow in the sunlight as it swings through the air. It is said that the bladesmiths behind this weapon reached the extent of their abilities and were forced to innovate. Yun Hui, head of the house of Yun's family forge, approached renowned craftsman Han Wu. With the combined expertise from both sides, Han Wu drew up designs for a new series of weapons, simply named "the prototypes." The very first sword made following this design already had the feel of a formidable weapon. While trying out the sword at Mt. Tianheng, Han Wu accidentally dropped it on the ground. The sword responded by unleashing a swirling tornado of energy that cut a twelve-inch-deep hole into the solid mountain rock. Han Wu took it as a sign from the heavens. He declared, "This sword shall be named Rancour, destroyer of rocks." This sword shakes mountains at their foundations and possesses the power of a thousand peaks in its tip. This sword that cuts through rocks like butter became the basis for all subsequent swords made in Liyue. |

My opinion about this weapon:
– An excellent 4 star weapon, has a high base attack compared to most other 4 star weapons in the game besides the other variants of 4 star weapons in the Shop or the Battlepass
– Best sword for any Physical Damage build (specifically for Keqing C0~C4 and Kaeya)
– Easily Refined and once you’ve acquired enough Prototype Materials, you can easily refine it to R3 in just a matter of a month if you get lucky with the World Boss drops, R5 if you’re very Lucky with the prototype Materials.
– I personally build my C0 Keqing with this weapon, compared it to flute and Harbinger of Dawn 3 star sword and this is the best build regardless if you want an Electro or Physical Build (the total damage Keqing dealt has a much higher value because of the Physical Damage increase, which is a multiplier and has an excellent weapon ability buff that also acts as if you were using The Flute) Evaluation was done personally, sorry i don’t have any data recorded but you definitely could do a research about it yourself but i pledge this as best weapon for physical builds as a 4 star weapon its overall great.
