Spring Spirit Summoning
#The frosted dew, silvery and dense, shall exorcise all demons.
Grants all nearby party members the Icy Quill effect and deals Cryo DMG in different ways based on whether it is {LAYOUT_MOBILE#tapped}{LAYOUT_PC#clicked}{LAYOUT_PS#pressed} or held.
{LAYOUT_MOBILE#Tap}{LAYOUT_PC#Click}{LAYOUT_PS#Press}
Rushes forward together with a Talisman Spirit, dealing Cryo DMG to opponents along the path.
Hold
Commands the Talisman Spirit to deal AoE Cryo DMG.
Icy Quill
When Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts deal Cryo DMG to opponents, the DMG dealt is increased based on Shenhe's current ATK.
The Icy Quill effect will be cleared once its duration ends or after a certain number of stacks are consumed. Holding rather than {LAYOUT_MOBILE#Tapping}{LAYOUT_PC#Clicking}{LAYOUT_PS#Pressing} grants a longer duration and more stacks generated.
When one Cryo DMG instance strikes multiple opponents, stacks will be consumed based on the number of opponents hit. The Icy Quill effects and stacks on every party member will be counted independently.
The power of the spirits is no falsehood. Burdened with her orders, the divine maiden hurries on!

Divine Maiden's Deliverance
Unleashes the power of the Talisman Spirit, allowing it to roam free in this plane, dealing AoE Cryo DMG.
The Talisman Spirit then creates a field that decreases the Cryo RES and Physical RES of opponents within it. It also periodically deals Cryo DMG to all opponents within the field.
The adeptal path is not for those caught up in mystery and imagination. Only by observing the changes in the heavens and the earth, and understanding the laws of cause and effect in this realm, may its essence be understood.

Shenhe's specialty. Perhaps this comes from her desire to recreate a flavor that lives only in her memories, but Shenhe has poured much time and effort into both making and plating this dish. The smooth noodles and delectable soup make a great impression indeed, but the most indelible aspects are the dedication and heart put into this dish...

    [new character] sucks

[new character] is just a worse [old character

It has happened with almost every new character in Inazuma so far. Don’t let the doom posts get you down.

Like her predecessors, Shenhe will be okay. There is precedent for buffs between now and her first day. If none occur, there is also precedent for indirect buffs later on. No matter what, every character finds a place.

As a Kokomi haver, I am so, so happy with her. She fills a niche that no one else can. Loving her more every day. Kokoclam with her new set is killing it, and new content continues to give her a place in meta.

Kokomi is dope and Shenhe will have a place, too.

There is a reason for that. Some people can actually use their brain, look at the available info and theorycraft. Shocking, i know.

      > It has happened with almost every new character in Inazuma so far

And rightfully so. C0 Kazuha is a budget C6 Sucrose; Ayaka is a melee Ganyu without sub-dps capabilities; Yomiya is broken and will forever stay broken unless Mihoyo completely reworks normal attacks for bows; Raiden is pathetic and worthless without C2; Sara only works with Raiden and only at C6; Kokomi is… well… you know. The new set doesn’t make her good. It makes her a little less abhorrent.

I had the same problem but ultimately i pulled for eula since i wanted to add a new main dps with a different playstyle to my roster. If it turns out that shenhe works well with eula i might pull for her too if my luck doesn’t forsake me.
In the end you have to question yourself whether you prefer a main physical dps with a huge burst or a support which seems to work well with other cryo charcters (keep in mind that nobody can really tell you right now how good shenhe will be exactly and how she works best even if people are fully convinced that they know better). You also have to factor in your current resources if you’re f2p, especially if youre low on wishes right now and might want to pull for future characters like yae miko or rerun charcters.

Roll for Shenhe if u have someone she can support
Idk if she will end being an aceptable dps, but I suppose that if u need a dps Eula is way better.

Hello guys I have a question about weapons, I have Skyward Spine and Jade Spear, aside for 4* weapons what of these two is good with her, both are R1. Thanks for the help.

Why Chongyun? Because of his burst?

        • What on 29 November 2021 at 11:35 am
        • Reply

Well, I think Chongyun’s multiplier for his Burst is really high. Shenhe buffs Chongyun’s only source of damage, that is his elemental burst. And Chongyun is capable of dealing high reverse melt damage paired with Xiangling. Not only that, it is possible Shenhe will provide Chongyun cryo particles. Chongyun’s reverse melt team consists of Bennett, Xiangling, Sucrose or Kazuha. Shenhe can replace Kazuha,, but I still don’t know if her buff is stronger than Kazuha with VV set.

Chongyun At Lv.10 Burst has 256% multipliers in all of the blades, so Shenhe’s Icy quills will be put in good use. And additionally C6 Chongyun’s kit only uses 5 icy quills, which coincidentally Shenhe’s tap E that provides elemental burst damage bonus. C6 Chongyun gives burst an additional one blade so add up to 4, and Chongyun E has higher multiplier than burst. So C6 Chongyun has 365%(E skill) + 300%×4(Elemental Burst), that means Shenhe will buff a total of 1565% worth of multiplier. I’m not smart so you can reply if you want to correct me.

Oh and let me add, I saw some people saying the E buff is worthless on Chongyun because it consumes it faster, but Chongyun’s kit of 5 damage in total from his E and burst, so it would not be wasted. You can run a quick swap party with Chongyun so maybe Xiangling can take the Role. Ayaka’s Burst has high damage per tick but is not made for reverse melt as many enemies run away from her burst so she should stick to freeze comp. If you run Ayaka with Shenhe, after depleting icy quills she would still buff the normal and charge attack, cryo damage bonus and shred resistance so it’s still viable. What’s more she can use cryo resonance. Many people though says that Rosaria is better than Shenhe on freeze comps. The reason why I mentioned reverse melt is because I think her Icy Quill buff really shines in reverse melt, while her kit and other buff are for Freeze comps, because in freeze comps it is common to have fast cryo application meaning fast cryo damage which would deplete the stacks faster leaving only The Cryo damage bonus, Resistance Shred and the buff of Hold or Tap E. It’s my own opinion you can correct me if I’m wrong.

      Imo it’s in this order
      Ayaka
      Ganyu
      Eula
      Phys Rosaria
Then just Chongyun. But chongyun has to be dps or Shenhe has to be built as a dps

While I can’t say myself how I think Shenhe is going to turn out, and there are people who are better than theorycrafting this stuff than me, I do notice some interesting things about her kit that might be useful to know:
    – For Icy Quill, the wording “the DMG dealt is increased based on Shenhe’s current ATK” seems to suggest that it’s a flat DMG bonus that gets added to the product of ATK and talent multiplier. When someone triggers Icy Quill, the DMG calculation should look like this:
    (ATK * talent multiplier + Shenhe ATK * Icy Quill multiplier) * (1 + DMG Bonus) * (1 + CRIT Rate * CRIT DMG) * DEF * RES
    – Note that this means that the DMG that Shenhe contributes through Icy Quill doesn’t depend on the multipliers of the attack that triggered it. Shenhe will contribute the same amount of DMG to one of Aloy’s bomblets as it will to her Burst, at least before factoring in DMG Bonuses like Noblesse Oblige (2). If you consume all Icy Quill stacks between uses, Shenhe’s DMG contribution will be pretty consistent regardless of what attacks you use to consume them.
    – Also, this means that DMG Shenhe contributes through Icy Quill scales with the DMG Bonus and CRIT of the character that triggers it, not Shenhe’s own DMG Bonus and CRIT. Since Shenhe’s personal DMG seems relatively low, the best build might be ATK%/ATK%/ATK% which would let her Icy Quill DMG ride to victory off your characters that actually have CRIT and DMG Bonus built.
    – I say might because if Shenhe also gives Icy Quill stacks to herself, not building CRIT or DMG Bonus would end up costing some of Icy Quill’s DMG.
    – “Shenhe’s current ATK” seems to imply that Icy Quill DMG doesn’t snapshot?
    – Shenhe’s Burst might be a multihit. Visually, it looks like 3 hits per 2 seconds, but I can’t be sure. This would make the DMG at least not pitiful, but still not amazing, landing at about 75% of Rosaria C2’s Burst DMG. This would also prevent it from being used for reverse Melt.
    – Also, if it’s a 3-hit multihit, it will apply Cryo every 2 seconds regardless of whether it has ICD or not, but I’m not sure what the applications of this would be.

Actually I have had the same thought as you. Since her multiplier is a bit low, it wouldn’t make sense if 5 triggers were dependent on her own stats (like, how the heck to balance the crit chance, crit dmg and atk on her while her buffs only scale off Atk?). So the solution Mihoyo might wanna give is that Shenhe takes a percentage of her own atk to add with other characters, but it will borrow the %Cyro dmg, and Crit dmg of the character on field. If that were true, then she might worth a shot
