Character Details | |
The inhabitants of Watatsumi Island once lived in Enkanomiya, at the bottom of the sea. It was only by the grace of the god Orobaxi bringing them up to the surface that the civilization of Watatsumi Island exists today. When Orobaxi was slain by the Electro Archon, its body was left as a skeleton and its resentment permeated the land, giving rise to Tatarigami. Yet its desire to protect Watatsumi Island never faded. This will lives on in the bloodline of the Sangonomiya Clan, and follows them from generation to generation. The current heir to this bloodline is known as the Divine Priestess. The meaning behind this is as such: to inherit the will of a god in a mortal's body, and to defend this land and its people in that god's stead. |
Character Story 1 | |
Unlock Condition | Unlocks at Friendship Lv. 2 |
The day the Kokomi ascended to the role of Divine Priestess, countless inhabitants of Watatsumi Island came to Sangonomiya Shrine of their own accord to see her. Surprise, suspicion, confusion, chuckles... Their expressions were strange, all on account of her overly-young appearance in her eyes. Plots were hatched and questions were endless. The ambitious planned to make their move. The storm was approaching, and all was not at peace on Watatsumi Island. Yet all went back to business as usual not long after Kokomi ascended to her position. She was fair in distributing rewards and punishments alike, appreciated the contributions of the people, and was militarily skilled. Her many abilities quickly won the hearts of most of the people. "Things will be alright as long as Her Excellency is here" soon became the most widespread saying on the island. |
Character Story 2 | |
Unlock Condition | Unlocks at Friendship Lv. 3 |
There are many factors involved in deciding victory or defeat. Terrain, weather, differences in military strength and equipment quality... All of these require careful consideration. Those who study the details too closely tend to miss changes on the field, and most who speak of strategy speak of it in a vacuum. Only those who can grasp both the big picture and the small details can create miracles on the battlefield. And behind all this lies countless hours of hard work delving into the reasons behind one's failures. Few if any ever persevere to the end, but Kokomi was not only good at this but also possessed a unique tactical style. "Manipulate the larger strategic situation to force the other side to give up, and to win wars with the least amount of cost possible." |
Character Story 3 | |
Unlock Condition | Unlocks at Friendship Lv. 4 |
Whether on the battlefield or off it, Kokomi tries to "know thy enemy" as much as possible. She tends to predict all possible scenarios beforehand and devise strategies to address them, which are then delivered as directives to those who enforce her will. This has given rise to the issue of some of these directives being rather thick and heavy, but this method has guaranteed the stable development of Watatsumi Island. Today, Watatsumi Island moves each day towards greater prosperity, and as more talented people have been appointed to office, the directives that Kokomi has to deliver have decreased. As far as she is concerned, that is something worth celebrating. |
Character Story 4 | |
Unlock Condition | Unlocks at Friendship Lv. 5 |
When Kokomi has the time to spare, she will go on walks on Watatsumi Island alone. She often tries to avoid crowds, pacing slowly through the violet forests, sometimes sitting by the seaside and looking out into the distance. The sun and the moon rise over the sea, the stars shine in their skies, and the sound of the waves is pleasing to the ear, relaxing the soul. Sometimes she will even place a seashell on her head, only to put it back where she found it when she leaves. In her mind, perhaps some wandering grab will burrow its way inside and call this shell home. Sometimes, Kokomi will also go diving, enjoying the calm atmosphere by herself, her worries sinking into the ocean depths as schools of fish swim all around her. Kokomi treasures every sight there is to be seen on Watatsumi Island, and she remembers the name of every person. Sadly, while scenery remains, peoples' hearts are complex and changeable. Victory is simple enough to attain compared to the mammoth task of making sure that everyone lives happily. This dilemma has always troubled her. |
Character Story 5 | |
Unlock Condition | Unlocks at Friendship Lv. 6 |
Kokomi has been well-read since she was young, and has a particular love for military treatises. As such, Kokomi has a broad store of knowledge to be used in every field. But another result of her constantly being buried in such treatises of war and illustrated military texts is that Kokomi lacks skill in social interaction. She does not know when it started, but interacting with people eventually became tiresome to her. Having ascended to the role of Divine Priestess, Kokomi had no choice but to learn many things that she wasn't any good at before, whether it was dealing with people or performing duties that she had little interest in. However, forcing herself to do things she holds little love for is a serious drain on her energy reserves, leaving her feeling quite exhausted. As such, Kokomi set up an "energy" system of measurement for herself. When she does things she enjoys, her energy levels will increase, and the reverse is true when she trudges through unenjoyable slogs. When she runs out of this energy, Kokomi will temporarily put her duties as the Divine Priestess aside and resume being an ordinary homebody. Engrossing herself in the close reading of a book on military strategy, walling herself off from the rest of the world — thus does Kokomi reclaim a temporary respite from her busy existence. These moments are of utmost value to her. |
Secret Notes | |
Unlock Condition | Unlocks at Friendship Lv. 4 |
"As the ruler is, so shall the people be." This precept was something Kokomi heard from her mother a long time ago. The Divine Priestess' role is one of utmost importance to Watatsumi Island, and its people's eyes are always upon her every move. The things she loves will be in fashion, and the things she dislikes, the people will also distance themselves from. Kokomi, in truth, has no wish to affect the peoples' lives, and as such has rarely ever revealed much of her personal likes or dislikes. She treats all things with an egalitarian manner, and holds "fairness of judgment" and "justice in dispensing rewards and punishment" to be her guiding principles. However, these are not necessarily her true feelings, and so she prepared a book of secret notes for herself. Here, she records the fluctuations in both her energy levels and mood. When the night deepens and the world falls silent, Kokomi will open this book and write the day's experiences, whether they be joyous, sad, or frustrating. ...Of course, this object is for her eyes only — and so it must remain. |
Vision | |
Unlock Condition | Unlocks at Friendship Lv. 6 |
A leader with a strong will can lead those around them in a clear direction. However, Kokomi lacks such strong ideals. Instead, she respects the will of the people and wishes that they can each find their own way. Just as the vast ocean can accommodate countless souls and their individual desires, so does Kokomi wish her rule could be. When the Vision Hunt Decree came about, the resentment of the people turned into cries of revolt, and so Kokomi led them in raising the banner of resistance. And once the war was over, the hearts of the people turned towards peace and stability, and so did Kokomi direct her energies towards governance and economics. But what was the source of this toil? Was this the role of the Divine Priestess speaking? Or was this a product of her own sense of duty? Or perhaps... it was a bit of both? As the Divine Priestess, Kokomi naturally has her own Vision. And ever since the day she looked out at the sea outside Sangonomiya Shrine, her wish has never once changed— "I wish to protect all of Watatsumi Island and allow its people to lead happy lives." |

Anyone else having a blast with Sukokomon in the Vibro-Crystal event?
Unfortunately, I don’t really like Xiangling so I never tried the team with the weird name. I will have to train the rotation and the swirling guoba trick and I’m lazy to do it XD
Have fun =3
I thought the name was weird too. lol Apparently it’s a reference to Pokemon because Kokomi, Fischl, Xiangling, and Sucrose all have deployable “pets” that remain on the field doing damage.
The rotation definitely takes some practice. Getting energy is easy in the event with the buffs and lots of small enemies – so you don’t have to reply as much on the Guoba swirl.
If Xiangling isn’t your style, Kokomi in a Taser team is super cool (and comfy) also. 😀
Thank you, have fun too!
Omg, yes! I love playing Kokomi in taser teams, it feels so satisfying and the damage is quite good tbh
There are still so many dummies that unironically think low sales=kokomi bad kek.
For the smoothbrains who still believe that-Who tf would want to get kokomi constellations which are bad to mid and her donut? Only extreme simps go for that cuz shes already complete at c0. Most ppl just get 1 copy and dip. Also surprise2 she is currently META. I swear NA and some EU people still have a hate boner for kokomi because shes being used a lot in abyss more than their aging dps.
Also by their logic, kazuha has low sales=bad unit. Jfc I hope to God that ppl who say shit like this are 10 year olds or smth.
Kokomi’s low sales were unfortunately in part due to Raiden Shogun. She overshadowed her banner
I actually want Kokomis C1, because I think that it would be a very nice damage up for her! Also I don’t get it why people are so damn focused on the sales numbers, in what way are you benefiting from it?
Straight up one of my favorite units since pulling her on the rerun banner. This game is significantly easier than meta slaves think it is, so any arguments about her being bad come exclusively from people who are bad at this game. She’s got range, perfectly acceptable damage, reliable hydro application, insane healing, a burst that you can save for when you need it, and she’s incredibly easy to run optimally thanks to no need for crit stats. She has even replaced Albedo for me on team comps that don’t specifically require him, since the Ocean-Hued Clam artifact procs follow the active character—a really nice quality of life difference compared to Albedo’s E which can be destroyed, needs to be manually repositioned, cannot activate in shallow water (like the Liyue hydro spirit boss), and relies upon crit stats to increase damage. With Kokomi you can really just brain-off mode and beat 99% of the games content to completion with C0 and a 3* weapon. Harder content? Throw some busted 4 star supports and she’ll pull through just fine. She might not be every meta slaves favorite character, but she is mine, and having her on my account genuinely makes the game more fun, can’t recommend Kokomi enough.
as much as i love kokomi i need to back up my boy albedo, first of all even if his E skill can be destroyed he deals more damage 15k-20k every tic and coming from an kokomi main she cant do that much damage on her E skill alone, but yes she does have great hydro application so that does help a lot, basically stop comparing and use both kokomi and albedo and your life will be easier.
So angry I wasted my primos on Kokopium, I clear the abyss way faster now that I finally got the only hydro support worthy of my precious Ayaka: the Hydro Archon, Mother of Dragons, Queen Mona.
so ayato does 10k per slash at c0 and kokomi can do 10k per normal attack at c0, but everyone is praising ayato as a good unit while kokomi is still said to be bad …. i dont get it.
She still need to use her burst to get that damage. And don’t forget that her particle generation are also copium to fill her own burst
she’s literally good with like 150% ER it’s genuinely not hard to keep her burst uptime in taser
Actually, her energy management is very good, i can use her burst per rotation in taser team with only 176% ER and R2 proto amber, and none of my character in that comp use fav weapon
just use the prototype amber on her and MAGIC HAPPENS, no problem with energy
im an kokomi main with 150% ER and prototype amber, i do coop often and everytime i get my burst back everytime it ends, the trick is how you manage your timing on your e skill and there is no problem with burst uptime after that, please do not talk about her if you dont play her at all.
not a random dude making 4 comments to prove their point
“kokomi’s usage rate is high because few players have her”
oh yeah? funny you should mention that…
kokomi – 49% ownership rate (after 2 banners)
usage rate – 94%
shenhe – 34% ownership, 79% usage
yae – 49% ownership, 59% usage
albedo – 47% ownership (after two banners), 52% usage
tartaglia – 49% ownership (after three banners), 45% usage
xiao – 36% ownership (after two banners), 40% usage rate
yoimiya – 22% ownership, 35% usage
itto – 25% ownership, 32% usage
eula – 44% ownership (after two banners), 30% usage
klee – 28% ownership (after two banners), 14% usage
when will people learn that banner sales aren’t everything? literally no one wants kokomi’s constellations or even BIS weapon so obviously she will be lower. people said she was only high in usage rate because cery few people have her, and that it will go down after her rerun. Yup, it sure did… lol
Her rerun revenue is even lower than her first banner. give me your copium source
i literally just explained why her revenue is lower. because no one pulls for Kokomi constellations, nor do they try rolling for the weapon. See everyone using Thrilling Tales on Kokomi, how much money does that cost? almost every other character has at least one desirable constellation, kokomi has none.
my copium source? spiral abyss stats, and before you tell me it doesnt work anymore, yes it does, it literally requires you to copy your hoyolab info so its a lot harder to manipulate. before her banner her ownership was 27%.
Her combined banner sales are barely as good as Kazuha’s one banner. Cope harder.
sigh. i can’t with how dense you guys are, lmao.
lmao its just the xiao/eula main copers who still trash her because she cant crit even when kokomi clearly IS meta
Best part about this is that they dont have her or refuse to pull for her then proceeds to rate her qiqi tier
I personally still think that site is not a good source to rate character pull value, but peoples who still believe kokomi is trash either just trolling or coping at this point. Everyone know how important hydro applicator in GI meta team build. Even latest KQM calculation on ayaka guide show kokomi, ayaka, shenhe, and kazuha is the best team for ayaka
i only commented once here, i am the first person who answered to this. the other comments are from other people.
Where are all those clowns who said her rerun gonna sell well.
i wish i have her c1. just try her c1 on event and its so comforting. wish me luck get her c1 guys also im on test for college. wish me luck for that too:D
I hope your exams went well :T, esp as a college student)
Pulled her and ngl she doesn’t seem to be very useful if at all. Barbara does the same job and she’s free. Only thing Kokomi is slightly better at is cleansing corrosion status.
She is amazing in Freeze comp and Taser comps. Her hydro application is way better then Barbara and Mona. Plus she never lets you die like ever.
Level her up bozo
guys i got raiden shogun , shes like level 12 and doesnt do any damage, what the f, shes garbage!! see ? sounds stupid asf, just level your kokomi.
Lucky, Kokomi, getting carried by Raiden.
Unlike Ganyu, who had to carry a 3rd run Zhong li who was heavily being nerfed.
If alone, Ganyu would’ve beaten both on a rerun. Sadly, it is not.
A bad setup. Do better ayacaca main
Gameplay Variety > Meta.
If they play very similar to default characters just with different scaling; I don’t bother getting them. I’m already bored out of my mind with its nonexistent endgame.
Well said
Kokomi is so cute. Wish I could touch her belly button
Kokopium’s rerun sales getting carried by everyone pulling C2+ Raiden Shogun. Mald, seethe, and cope.
the more i age in this game, the more is the joy to get your favorite units especially if they’re not meta
if someone is (too much) popular, it simply doesn’t worth anymore:
If your only purpose is abyss, and not only that, but as fast/dmg obsession as possible, good for you; considering it’s a game, the only intelligent and not insane criteria is personal taste and nothing more
but apart from this, hydro units are usually too similar for me. They deal a very similar attack visually, and finally with ayato they did something very different with his burst. but with skill i don’t see him very different from childe and even kokomi. i hope that with yelan they invent someething new, because it’s ridiculous they can’t imagine a totally new style of attacking
“if someone is (too much) popular, it simply doesn’t worth anymore”
uh wtf? Kokomi is actually very popular and have high abyss usage rate? Anyway judging a character’s worth by their popularity is one of the most dumb if not the dumbest action.
usage rate high because player who have her is little.
yall always use this argument for kokomi and act like Yoimiya and Itto dont exist (literally lower than her)
well thats true tho. i dont like hutao and raiden since theyre overhype and i dont wanted like somone common. its preference you may didnt feel it u dump
than by your argument, what if someone just started? what then?
