Attack Talents
Normal Attack: Fight Club Legend
Normal Attack
Perform up to 4 consecutive strikes.
When the 2nd and 4th strikes hit opponents, Itto will gain 1 or 2 stacks of Superlative Superstrength, respectively.
Max 5 stacks. Triggering this effect will refresh the current duration of any existing stacks.
Additionally, Itto's Normal Attack combo does not immediately reset after sprinting or using his Elemental Skill, "Masatsu Zetsugi: Akaushi Burst!"
Charged Attack
When holding to perform a Charged Attack, Itto unleashes a series of Arataki Kesagiri slashes without consuming Stamina. Instead, each Arataki Kesagiri slash consumes 1 stack of Superlative Superstrength. When the final stack is consumed, Itto delivers a powerful final slash.
If no stacks of Superlative Superstrength are available, Itto will perform a single Saichimonji Slash.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Masatsu Zetsugi: Akaushi Burst!
Hurls Ushi, the young akaushi bull and auxiliary member of the Arataki Gang, dealing Geo DMG to opponents on hit. When Ushi hits opponents, Arataki Itto gains 1 stack of Superlative Superstrength.
Ushi will remain on the field and provide support in the following ways:
• Taunts surrounding opponents and draws their attacks.
• Inherits HP based on a percentage of Arataki Itto's Max HP.
• When Ushi takes DMG, Arataki Itto gains 1 stack of Superlative Superstrength. Only 1 stack can be gained in this way every 2s.
• Ushi will flee when its HP reaches 0 or its duration ends. It will grant Arataki Itto 1 stack of Superlative Superstrength when it leaves.
Hold
Adjust throwing angle.
Ushi is considered a Geo construct. Arataki Itto can only deploy 1 Ushi on the field at any one time.
The name of this technique is derived from Onibudou (a light novel series written by Junkichi). However, calling it "Onisatsu Zetsugi" probably constitutes copyright infringement — not to mention how Itto himself is an oni and all...

Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil!
Time to show 'em the might of the Arataki Gang! For a time, Itto lets out his inner Raging Oni King, wielding his Oni King's Kanabou in battle.
This state has the following special properties:
• Converts Itto's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks to Geo DMG. This cannot be overridden.
• Increases Itto's Normal Attack SPD. Also increases his ATK based on his DEF.
• On hit, the 1st and 3rd strikes of his attack combo will each grant Arataki Itto 1 stack of Superlative Superstrength.
• Decreases Itto's Elemental and Physical RES by 20%.
The Raging Oni King state will be cleared when Itto leaves the field.
This is the pinnacle technique of the ultimate fighting style (according to Itto). It would be pointless for Arataki Itto to reference any other fighting styles to improve his own, for he, and no other, is the strongest, most terrible oni in the land.

About the Vision
Ugh, don't even ask. Just the thought of it makes my blood boil! First, the Shogun's Army goes out and steals everyone's precious Visions — which, already a heinous crime, right? But then... then they go and stick them all over that statue with absolutely no sense of organization whatsoever. I mean, think about it... the more powerful the Vision, the higher up on the statue it should go, that would make sense, right? Oh yeah, the doggy general in the resistance... Hey, I've gotta hand it to him, he may be on the small side, but he's got quite the fighting spirit. Also, he gives off this vibe that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, almost as if he understands my innermost feelings... I mean, I've barely met the guy, so that's kinda weird.

About Kuki Shinobu
Nobody questions my leadership in the gang, what I say goes — except when it comes to Shinobu. She's always challenging everything I say. And not only that — all the hard-earned loot I bring back and share with everyone? She goes and returns it! But also, she gets me out of jail, and out of every mess we get ourselves into, so I'll let it slide. Besides, I don't wanna get on her bad side... An angry Shinobu would make my life a nightmare.

I mean, a tanuki's what she's going for, right? Sheesh, talk about getting your fur all ruffled over nothing...

Well, you're right, those are just child's play. Wanna know the hard skills that really got me where I am? People in Inazuma have this ritual every time there's a holiday, or they move, or get sick, or whatever, where they throw beans around and chant: "Fortune beans are falling down, send the oni out of town. In a... "attempt"... to end human prejudice toward the oni, I had the gang use a Kamera to take a picture of me showing my softer side and stick it to the Message Board in Inazuma City. Next thing we know, some jerks have graffitied all over it! Tsk! Then, some ashigaru blockheads from the Tenryou Commission accused me of disrupting the peace, next it was the Yashiro Commission, complaining it ruined the atmosphere in the area, and finally, even the Kanjou Commission got involved — they sent some lackeys over demanding advertising tax! Ugh, they have no idea who the bad guys are here!

I gotta respect the Blue Oni for sacrificing themselves so that the Crimson Oni could live on... In principle, though, I'm absolutely against it. No one should have to sacrifice their own kind for the sake of a better tomorrow, period. It's only a better tomorrow if it's a better tomorrow for everyone. We need to work together, not have everyone just focused on themselves, making their own sacrifice, trying to look cool in the process... Eh, I guess there's no changing the past, what's done is done. But from this day forward, no more sacrificing, not on my watch! You go to sacrifice yourself, I'll stand right in your way!

Character Details
While walking through Hanamizaka, it is hard not to notice a young man of the oni race named Arataki Itto.

Never mind his horns or piercing voice sticking out like sore thumbs — the sight of him enthusiastically joining in to play childrens' games is enough to set him apart from the crowd.

In any case, his obvious lack of things to do stands in stark contrast to Hanamizaka itself, where craftspeople gather in droves and busy themselves all day long.

Itto claims to be the "first and greatest head of the Arataki Gang," the responsibilities and duties of which he tried to explain to some Tenryou Commission officials when they came to him to investigate a rather harmless street brawl. Unfortunately, they interrupted him not two minutes into the explanation before marking him down as "unemployed."

That designation is not exactly accurate, of course: other than the Gang's activities, which the Shogunate does not acknowledge, Itto does also do some odd jobs to stay solvent, usually working one day before taking three days off.

As such, a more accurate designation should have been "three-quarters unemployed."
Character Story 1
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 2
Objectively speaking, Itto's reputation leaves much to be desired within Inazuma City.

Even though he is not considered a villain, he is certainly no law-abiding citizen either. If one really had to assign some sort of hazard level to him, then perhaps the level of being used by parents to keep naughty children in line ("If you don't behave, Arataki Itto will come and snatch your snacks away!" for example) might suffice.

That said, unlike threats of "the Great Mujina Youkai grabbing you and taking you deep into the mountains," or "being inlaid upon the Shogun's statue," the scenario threatened here can actually occur.

Still, "snatching" is, again, not accurate, for the fate of these snacks is decided fair and square by ritual combat!

In the eyes of many, winning snacks off kids in competitions is exceedingly shameless, but Itto believes that every battle must be taken seriously, whether one's foe is a 5-year old child or the Almighty Shogun herself.

It is also due to this conviction that Itto can lose to a child without any reservations at all.

And while the adults have much to say about his behavior, the children find Itto the big oni to be a rather good playmate.

He is knowledgeable about all manner of street games and plays them all with great gusto. He also stands up for any who are being bullied.

Lately, the children have been very into Onikabuto battles against Itto.

The rules of this game are simple and the fighting is both fierce and very watchable. Most importantly of all, they actually have a pretty decent chance of winning this one, unlike with other games.
Character Story 2
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 3
For the longest time, the Tenryou Commission has regarded the Arataki Gang as a group of only occasional troublemakers who do not require that much attention.

This group only has less than 10 regular members and there are many internal disagreements concerning the date of its founding.

Akira believes that it all began when Itto saved him from a few two-bit ruffians. That day, Itto persisted even after having been knocked to the ground 7 times, ultimately causing the punks to back off in annoyance. Helping Akira up from the ground, Itto declared: "Well, guess you're with the Arataki Gang now!"

Genta and Mamoru believe that the Gang was truly founded at the end of a certain year when they all squatted on the outskirts of Inazuma City and roasted Lavender Melons.

That day, not one of them had a single Mora to their name, and they were all very hungry indeed. While gorging himself on a melon, Itto said with a sigh, "We should roast Lavender Melons like this every year!"

That said, neither Genta nor Mamoru thinks that these experiences need much memorializing.

For Kuki Shinobu, the Gang was officially formed the first time she had to drag Itto's sorry behind out of Shogunate gaol, for this was the first time any official records had ever made mention of the Arataki Gang.

As for Itto, he believes that the Arataki Gang existed from the first moment those words entered his mind.

Unfortunately, he no longer remembers when that was.

And as for Granny Oni, who has taken care of Itto since he was young, she believes that the Gang was never formed.

To her, these children are just "Itto and his friends."
Character Story 3
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 4
The land of Inazuma has been home to the oni race since antiquity.

They existed here alongside the lordly Hakushin kitsune bloodline and the tengu.

Such youkai often have supernatural abilities that humans could only look upon in envy, but the oni lack many special traits in that regard.

Other than the horns on their heads, they are mostly remembered for their explosive tempers and penchant for making trouble.

As for their legendary fear of beans, it has a scientific basis.

As it turns out, oni are allergic to beans. However, because the oni bloodline has thinned out greatly over time, most people display only very minor allergic reactions.

Unfortunately for Itto, his allergies are pretty still pretty severe. Forget eating beans, so long as he makes skin contact with them, Itto will get itchy all over and even find it hard to breathe.

This thus makes beans the only thing that the usually carefree Itto is particularly wary of in his daily life.

For their part, the Arataki Gang members do not order any dishes made with beans, not even in private, as a mark of respect for him.

Of all products made with beans, Itto fears Fried Tofu the most — indeed, even he says that the very sight of it leaves him feeling queasy for three days straight.
Character Story 4
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 5
And when one mentions Fried Tofu, a certain pyrrhic victory immediately comes to mind.

The battle that caused that incident began as a rather pedestrian conflict: a fox-eared lady had happened to sit in the chair that Itto would customarily sit on while eating at his favorite food stand... and on his payday, no less.

The two began a contest of words over whom the chair belonged to, culminating in a straight-up (unnecessary) battle.

Itto, hungry from a hard day's work, chose an eating contest, while the fox-eared lady chose a theme of "kitsune ramen."

Itto was momentarily at a loss when he realized that said ramen contained Fried Tofu, but with the oni race's pride on the line, he soldiered on gamely en route to victory nonetheless.

And as for that innocent chair, it was ultimately given to Itto as a trophy by the rather mortified owner of the food stand.

Regarding the various contests he has been in, there are two that still weigh on Itto's mind quite heavily.

One of them is the rematch that he demanded of Kujou Sara, who defeated him and took his Vision as part of her duties in the Tenryou Commission.

To this day, the Kujou has not agreed to the street corner sumo match, something that frustrates Itto to no end.

The other incident happened many years ago when Itto was young. Then, he had gotten into an argument with a young tengu, the result of which was a sumo match in the Byakko Plain. Unexpectedly, the ensuing furor sent them both rolling down a mountain.

In the end, it was the tengu who carried Itto, who could not walk after spraining his ankle, all the way home. Of course, the match went unsettled.

Just his luck, Itto often thinks, that both such incidents had to do with tengu!

Also, how on earth were these tengu all so strong despite looking so skinny?
Character Story 5
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 6
Every oni child has probably heard the story of the Crimson Oni and the Blue Oni:

The gentle, helpful Crimson Oni defeated the wicked Blue Oni, thus winning the respect of the humans.

This was Itto's favorite story when he was young, and he was proud of his red oni horns and his Crimson Oni lineage.

However, this simple pride was shaken by a certain incident.

When incidents of robbery occurred in the village in which Itto lived, the Arataki family fell under suspicion on account of their oni heritage.

Itto no longer remembers the details of that incident, but he remembers the wary, disgusted stares the villagers gave him and his parents as they left, and the parting words they said, which Itto has heard countless times since:

"Once an oni, always an oni."

No matter the time period, all oni are the same as far as humans are concerned. In that case, would it not be better to become the Blue Oni, whom people feared? Surely that was preferable to being like his parents, who were driven out despite having done nothing wrong.

After his parents died of illness, the young Itto was turned out onto the streets, where he would lay into anyone who spoke ill of the oni race.

Well, Itto was mostly the one getting laid into. But he proved quite the pain in the neck, never giving up no matter how many times they knocked him down.

Still, he was only a child and eventually collapsed on the street due to exhaustion and hunger after a terrible round of beatings at the hands of some ruffians who had banded together against him.

At this moment of crisis, Itto was saved by an old human woman.

"Why did you save me? Can't you see that I'm an oni?" "You must be hungry. Come, I've made some porridge."

"I told you, I'm an oni! Can't you see them horns?" "Oh, I can see them. Do you want some of that porridge, by the way?"

"Agh, you know what, you're not listening to me at all. Oh, alright... One bowl of porridge, please." "Coming right up."
The Great Singalong
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 4
As the year was drawing to a close, the Arataki Gang met to discuss how they might celebrate the turnover of the year.

As opposed to more reputable organizations, the Arataki Gang did not have any fixed venues to hold their activities, which posed some... logistical issues.

The Lavender Melon suggestion was quickly eliminated. While roasting melons itself was certainly not an issue, eating only that to celebrate the new year certainly was.

An Onikabuto festival was considered, but the year's end was not mating season, and so the contestants would not be half as motivated as they usually were.

Ultimately, lots were drawn, and the "Great Singalong" was selected.

This activity was suggested by Itto himself, and it entailed everyone standing on a cliff and singing against the ocean wind to express their innermost feelings and well-wishes for the future.

The various gang members actually rejected this in their hearts when they found out about it. After all, screaming into the wind was nowhere near as fun as eating melons. Kuki Shinobu even indicated that she would like to take leave to return home on that day.

However, the event went through nonetheless. The yelling and hollering were indeed quite soothing for the soul — and as things unexpectedly turned out, Itto was quite the good singer as well.
Vision
Unlock ConditionUnlocks at Friendship Lv. 6
Itto's Vision was something he found under his hip after waking up one morning. By that point, he had already been in Hanamizaka for many a year, and his livelihood was at least somewhat stable.

"Well I never! Dad, Mom, Gramps, Granny, and Granny Oni, this... Now isn't this something?"

These were Itto's real thoughts as he first looked upon his Vision.

That day, he would excitedly show his Vision to every person he met, even showing people where it had made an indentation on his back until everyone was thoroughly sick of hearing the story.

A few days later, however, the story would change a little:

"Now as you know, I wasn't surprised at all when I first saw that Vision. I mean, you'd expect as much out of the first and greatest head of the Arataki Gang, after all!"

"More importantly, a person's worth isn't something that can be determined by a mere Vision, oh no, sir!"

The keen-eyed, however, would notice that Itto had bought a very soft spectacle cloth.

Also, a certain question showed up in the advice column of the "That's Life" magazine that went like this:

"Ms. Hina, how should I best take care of my Vision and make it shinier? And when I say 'shinier,' I mean shinier than everyone else's, of course!"

When gang members read this and excitedly showed the magazine to Itto, they were surprised to see the long-time fan of Ms. Hina just look at the mag casually before laying it aside.

C6 Noelle is better than him. There are a lot of reasons for that.

Itto might be capable of better numbers on a selected period, but the same is negligible compared to how much ease of use Noelle is compared to him.

First, Noelle is more energy efficient. Noelle’s burst costs 60 energy and lasts for 15-25 seconds with only a CD of 15. With effective energy management, Noelle can effectively have her Q uptime to 100%. Now compare that to Itto who has 80 energy cost and only 11 second duration and with 20s CD. Even with godly energy management, Itto can never reach 100% up time.

Second, Noelle is more slot efficient. What does Noelle do? She shields, she heals, and she hits. That is already 3 roles in 1. Being 3 in 1, you have more option for the other 3 slots. You can put 2 non healer/shielder batteries with her. You can put electro traveler and Raiden along with Albedo and you still have a shielder and a healer.

Third, Noelle is more flexible. Her Q is not selfish and does not revert after switchout. An enemy teleports away from Albedo’s flower while you are on Q? no problem. Switch to Albedo and relocate his flower then go back to Noelle. Bennett Q refreshes mid burst? No problem, pop Q then go back to her. Another thing, Noelle’s burst is AoE and can sweep more enemies on her attacks. Her flexibility just boosts the fact that she can attain 100% up time. You can just set up while mid burst.

C6 Noelle is good but you are overhyping her. First of all she’s not energy efficient, she doesnt even produce particles. And even the most invested Noelle dps ceiling isn’t very high. If she was as good as you are making her out to be more people would be using her lmfao. Itto will outdps her with ease.

All your arguments have been proved wrong with a lot of characters that have been released and even then Itto won’t suffer as much problems as them but lets dissect your points anyway
1.- While having 100% uptime sure is good for gameplay purposes, for damage potential is not that much big of a deal, other characters do a lot of damage without having 100% uptime, like Hu Tao or Raiden. As for the 80 burst, is not that much of a problem if you use ANY geo battery (Ning, albedo, even Geo traveller), batteries are a must on any character with 80 burst, and for geo comps there are a lot of options, with Goro into the mix, you will use UP to 4 geo characters, meaning everybody will be a battery, just give Itto the usual ER substats (or ER sands assuming you are using white blind) and thats it.
2.- Is true that Noelle is more slot “efficient” but it honestly doesn’t matter (specially with Goro C4), Geo will use 3-4 characters, if you need a healer there are better alternatives that noelle, even for geo comps. so while she does bring more comp versality, it honestly that big of a deal.
3.- Being able to switch up your characters is neat addition but when you consider that damage is everything in this game and Noelle does considerable LESS damage and attacks slower at that point is a question of: do you want a more easier time on certain situations or will you change your gameplan around that so you can do more damage?
Noelle isn’t even a top dps among 4* characters, why do you think he can compete with itto even when she has all those “advantages” that are not damage?
Noelle will be a nice geo DPS but just by raw numbers Itto will be better, even with all those weakness he has, which again, MANY other DPS have the same weakness and it doesnt stop them for being very good.

Hypothetically give Itto what is currently available now for Noelle and Itto won’t even be Diluc level. And he still won’t be better than Noelle. When Itto comes, with Gurou, the new artifact sets and the new weapon, Noelle will be a much better slot than Itto is. Whatever accessories benefit Itto, benefits Noelle as well.

100% up time is always better. Using Hu Tao as an argument is not that accurate. A Hu Tao with 100% up time will always be better than current Hu Tao. Incidentally, Ayaka with downtime on her cryo infusion is worse that current Ayaka with 100% up time. Do you know why Ganyu is top? because she has 100% up time.

By energy efficient, I meant, more value per 1 point of energy. She has 15-25 seconds to charge up her skill. And she can do that while switching out. Compare that with 11 seconds up time with 80 energy to fill. Add the fact that you can’t even switchout, otherwise, the energy you used will be wasted.

Damage is not everything if you can’t even consistently throw that under a lot of caveats. It’s like having 300% crit damage but only 20% crit rate. Not reliable at all. There is more to damage than just seeing big ones, seeing it often and seeing it seamlessly.

most of the ppl here need to chill now , i have seen way too much of this shit before , ppl saying kazuha being 5 star sucrose , yoimiya being absolutely shit , raiden being compared to the likes of fishyl, and kokomi being shit as well,
but 9 out of 10 times after release it turns out they are way better than expected, especially kazuha and shogun
kokomi isn’t a meta character ok….but the game itself can have a more survival based mode rather than dps check .and immediately healers will have a more useful purpose tho the corrosion was a bad way to implement such meta .
yoimiya turned out to be quite good except her burst , and then baal is almost most used characters out there (national team ) .
i think mihoyo will do a fine job making him a balanced character as well so lets wait and watch
And i mean everyone has access to a national team and if there are so much into doing big numbers just pull for one of the big 3 from liyue and pull others for fun imo

There is still 2 months until his release, he will obviously get some changes. But ofc let’s decide how a character will be 2 months before release and before testing IN GAME.

Looks really good on paper but he will turn out impractical.
80 energy, 11 secs only, for boosted AA with very little AoE? Outside his burst, he will be so meh. Low base atk, lowest claymore NA scaling. He also needs a lot of battery because Geo isn’t really good at energy building, thus the usual 40 energy costs of bursts. You will be so busy returning energy to him that once his Q is over, team dps drops like a hammer.

use geo traveler as battery or just put some favonius weapons on supports, also it is not only 11 seconds, you need to count hitlag, you can see how much this extends the burst duration with raiden, even if his scaling is low he takes 2 seconds to do all of them in burst mode, also his focus is charged attacks, about the base attack you clearly cannot read properly since his burst gives him bonus atk based on his defense,I did some calculation and he can get between 4k to 5k in burst mode

Can you tell me how he is ”overhyped” when we know his kit and gameplay for like 2 TWO!? days and people are still trying to figure out how to TC him and his rotations?
And learn to read his kit. Itto’s base atk or claymore NA scaling doesn’t matter because he gets ATK bonus based on his DEF, just like HuTao’s HP to ATK conversion. He will have over 3k+ ATK with Q activated. If you are saying he is bad because he has low base atk then HuTao must be even worse than Itto because she has even LOWER base atk than he does.
The only thing you got right in your 3Head comment is that yes he may struggle with energy but we don’t know how many particles Itto and Gorou produces.
And finally, this is still first week of beta and if we look at previous 5* releases Ayaka, Yoimiya, Raiden, Kokomi all got changes during the beta phase, even multiple changes. So it is too early to draw a conclusion on Itto until he is out and tested.

Hu Tao is easy to use rotation because she just need to use her SKILL, so she doesn’t require any energy for her HP scaling

Rotation with Noelle seems better, because she isn’t selfish like Itto. High energy cost burst and only gives 9s cooldown time to fill his 80 energy burst through rotations is insane lol. Unless you have C2 or build him 180%-200% ER which hurt your DPS

Counter to your counter. Raiden’s bread and butter is ER, so energy cost and burst duration are largely irrelevant unless you build her like a dummy. Her burst stance, both the initial slash and the charge attacks, are also capable of AOE.

These discussions come with the nature of the game and one of the advantages of leaks – pre-planning and pre-release analysis. Mihoyo does it to with beta testing. Beta testers discuss why a character is bad or good pre-release.

so i did some meth comparing itto and c6 noelle, with def%/geo%/crit rate and so substats except for enough crit to get to 60/120 ration (just a good baseline amount of crit to have for a dps) and didn’t factor in enemy resistance, nor did i add in any form of set bonus (although itto would scale far better with that new set than noell because of his base def) and compared the average damage of a hit of noelle charged attack (it only does slightly more dps than normal attack string, but i like it) and a hit of itto’s arataki kesagiri. as it turns out, itto does about the same amount of damage as noelle.

sike, this is NOT EVEN FACTORING IN HIS CRITS and he does the same damage as c6 noelle. (Itto deals 9 626 and noelle will do on average 9 693). with crits he leaves her in the fucking dust with an average hit of 16 539 damage.

    basically with no crit: noelle = 5 636 and itto = 9616
    on a crit: noelle= 12 398 and itto = 21155
    but on average: noelle = 9 693 with itto dealing 16 539

keep in mind that that especially with his burst and his passive, he has a much higher atk speed than noelle so even though his ult normals will do less damage on hit than noelle, he will definetely attack faster to surpass her by a long shot in terms of dps.

i really do hope they buff his uptime because in a sustained fight noelle with her 100% uptime might technically surpass itto if he’s the only character you use, and i also hope they buff his normal attack multipliers, because you need to do them to built up stacks, but they just arent very good.

Please correct me if Im wrong.
Isnt it bad to compare Xiao comp to Itto comp for the energy regeneration? Anemo units like sucrose creates so much particles. I think Geo comp will find hard to generate energy for 80 energy costs units.
We dont know yet about Gorou and Itto particle generation but Im guessing Itto’s E will work like Ganyu and will generate instant energy because it will be just there to taunt.

That’s why Im thinking Shimenawa “can work” if u use it on proper rotation just like when I use Shimenawa on Klee and just by 1 E she gets back her ult immediately. Or it could also Gorou E(with favonius) then swap Itto then E immediately to receive the particles generated by Gorou “if there will be” (but i guess there will be as its just one instant skill damage). This rotation is applicable cause u need to Gorou E first before Itto but may waste a few seconds.

Other issues I find for Itto is his AOE and will it be the same problem with Xiao that Itto’s charge atk will knock away the enemies so his next charges wont be able to hit them?(soon to find out)

For me, it kinda turns me off that he is 80 ER cost thats why its like its a need to put him in a geo comp. Anemo comp and geo comp energy generation is not the same. Is Geo MC the best geo battery? I think his E cd is low and generates 4 or 3 particles. Hope I can get replies on what u think about this 🙂

to the people saying that his uptime problems dont matter: they fucking do. i consider it a problem when a character has worse uptime than hu tao, with the exception of tartag. and even more so when its also locked behind a 80 cost burst. i kind of hate ow more and more characters are starting to require constellations to be good, raiden needs c2, sara needs c6, kokomi… ok nvm they dont help. but at c2 he has nearly all of his issues fixed, i think one of those (either cooldown reduciton or energy refund) should be a part of his base kit, most likely energy refund

As long as the main dps has no more than 8-9s downtime it doesn’t matter, since a full rotation takes that long.

Yeah but Itto loses a lot when Gorou’s abilities aren’t up, or when Zhongli’s shield is down. 4 geo units more than likely provide more than enough energy. Keep in mind a 3 geo team is often enough to battery Noelle who doesn’t generate any energy on her own. Your rotations are gated behind a 20 second CD ability anyways, C2 hardly matters.

I still have concerns though such as how many energy particles does he and Gorou generate, can Sacbow Gorou reliably recover his burst, does his burst snapshot with Gorou, does he get infinite poise during his burst etc. Hope we get sum juicy buffs.

I got this from the IttoMains subreddit. Also my bad, it should be 4000-4600% total burst multiplier.

Post talking about his possible burst combinations: https://www.reddit.com/r/IttoMains/comments/q9t3as/dragonstrike_itto_but_instead_of_plunge_we_do/

5CA = 4 Arataki Kesagiri + Arataki Kesagiri Final Slash

Conventional combo: Q E 5CA 4NA 5CA E* (second E cast may or may not be possible depending on hit lag)
“Dragonstrike” version: Q E NA CA continuously until his burst ends

Second combo is harder to pull off because of press-then-hold shenanigans, but apparently it has significantly higher damage.

        His damage calculator: https://www.reddit.com/r/IttoMains/comments/q88dcq/itto_dmg_calculator/

Assuming you’re using Zhongli and Gorou, with R5 Whiteblind 70/140 CR/CD he could deal around 530k total damage. With Redhorn R1 70/200 CR/CD it’s around 670k. Honestly I’m a little bit skeptical with these numbers because my Eula only does 400-500k total damage in her burst window with WGS sooo…do double check if I fiddled with the sheet incorrectly lol.

from leaks, gorou produce 2 particles per skill cast. That’s a pathetic amount of energy for a 10s cd skill.
itto himself produce 2 particles, which is also pathetic for 10s cd skill.
which then brings to albedo. Which would be the best energy provider for itto cause he produces energy while itto is in his burst.

but with 80 energy cost, he’d need at least 170% ER to comfortably fund his burst with those characters in party.
that’s 70% ER stats not put into crit or atk% stats.

good luck funding all of those 80 energies in 20s.
or more realistically, in 5-7s of his downtime.

xiao can double cast his E and pre-funnel the particles by immediately casting burst, net-ting him on 50% energy just by himself at the start of his burst.
after his burst ends, he can immediately double cast his E again to then immediately use his burst again, net-ting a 2s downtime at worst, a downtime where he deals dps with his skill if you’d call that a downtime.

itto can’t do that shit, and he have 80 energy requirement. So good luck.

We really need to see how his (and Gorou)’s energy generation ends up being. You are gonna likely run 3, if not even 4, Geo characters so you’re gonna get a lot of Geo particles at least, but it might not be enough since both Zhongli and Albedo are not really super reliable as batteries. You could plug Raiden in, which is honestly not a bad idea – you’re getting a lot of energy refund for both Itto and Gorou, on top of a way to keep DPS up during Itto’s 9 seconds of downtime – but that’s kind of a waste since her burst dmg buff is completely useless.

Of course, you could just whale for c2 and auto refund like a quarter of your burst doing literally nothing, but that’s not really viable for a lot of players

C2 makes him basically 100% burst buff uptime and it would solve his energy problems, if having 3 other geo batteries in team was not enough XD. His numbers are busted and rly big, don’t underestimate his def scaling, this guy has low base atk and insane base def. Also u’d be finally able to make use of your 50% substat def% artifacts XD. well ofc c6 itto and itto cons are gonna make him great, but for the vast majority of us who cant whale on 5 star cons, he’s pretty underwhelming. im not denying his damage is gonna be great during his burst, but an est ~7 seconds of downtime on an 80 energy burst and such a weird (almost clunky) playstyle don’t feel as worth.

especially in comparison to someone like c6 noelle, who has impressive aoe during her burst which she can have an easy 100% uptime for, which could potentially out-dps itto in the long run (higher na multipliers/def% buff as well). as a limited 5 star geo dps, i was just expecting more from itto’s core mechanics (like a longer lasting burst or largely extended aoe upon burst), i don’t feel compelled at all to roll on him when a great geo sub dps like albedo is being rerun alongside him that sees much wider usage and sustained dps.

Firstly, if you couldn’t tell, his kit is just overall much more dps-focused than noelle. It’s quite complex, but I don’t see how you can compare his damage to noelle’s. They look similar, but it should go without saying that he will do much, much more damage than she currently does, especially with gorou also being released as a geo-dedicated support. Just so you know, literally every single meta team out there is burst dependent, especially speedrun teams. Bursts are essentially 1/3 of each characters’ kit, 1/2 if you don’t care about their autos (such as with xingqiu or fischl). Why not “rely” on them?

Also, you almost certainly already have a broken dps. Her name is Xiangling. Maybe you’ve heard her mentioned before when talking about dps, maybe not. Either way, get used to it. She is literally, no joke, easily one of the best AoE dps units in the entire game. You can find dozens of videos on youtube as well as extensive, detailed guides from theorycrafters that demonstrate how powerful she is.

What characters and teams do you currently use and/or have available on your account? How long have you been playing and what is your current goal for “beating the game”? What is your AR and spending status? Ask yourself those questions before you pull for 5 stars to help determine who you want most, disregarding your personal interests/tastes.

Lol, regardless if he’s useful or not, he’s my trophy husband and I’ll get him no matter what. I’m getting hu tao, skipping possibly albedo and pulling for this meathead. he’s honestly a refreshing character. leakers did a good job keeping his full appearance under wraps cause that turned out in his favor; everyone’s surprised and head over heels for this character.

RIGHT! was so excited when mhys account dropped the art of him after that little content drought

He is literally a c6 Noelle in terms of damage multiplier and attack bonus gain from burst. I don’t see this is good enough because Noelle dps is not that high compare to top meta team damage and very burst dependent. Maybe he has better energy regeneration but that’s kinda a must to have considering he is a 5 star. I am going to wait for some buff for even considering pulling for him because I really need a broken dps since I am struggling beating the game.

Luckily for you, Hu Tao’s banner is right after Childe’s right now. Just pull for Hu Tao and skip Itto. His DPS is powerful but kinda seem situational. Still though, last time we thought a DPS without any reaction would be weak, we had Eula absolutely destroying everything her burst touches. (her NAs too)

“Eula absolutely destroying everything her burst touches”

        if it touches lmao.

or crits. She often not… I often retry abyss… I used to retry abyss cause dead… now I also retry abyss cause eula no crit… or enemies blink’d away…
sometimes I hate her so much… FML

her crit problem is once in a blue moon but I often crit with her burst more than I don’t crit (luckily). in open world however, nothing can withstand her stacking hence why her burst never hits lmao so yeah, I almost never refer to open world when talking about a character’s potential.

Although i agree he’s similar to Noelle, he’s way better than her just because he has the cr stat advantage AND the atk speed advantage, noelle can barely do one attack every second, meanwhile Itto attacks way faster in comparison, close if not exactly 2 attacks per second, so even if normal attacks have lower ratio, he will do more damage overall.
also I don’t know what your fixation with meta when with a little bit of research you can know the game can be completed with pretty much any character as long as you have them built properly, so i don’t thikn your problem is not having a top tier dps in particular AND if you need one just roll for hu tao next banner.

if you struggle because you need a strong DPS…. then why the fk are you not using xiangling??

the classic national team on one side, and tazer team on the other is a freaking massive DPS you know??
The only main DPS that can beat those teams is ganyu in morgana team.

national team: xiangling childe kazuha/succrose bennett (or the classic xiangling xinqiu chongyun bennett)
tazer team: beidou fischl xinqiu succrose

with 40k vaporized dmg 14 times per pyronado on one team, and up to 30k electro charged dmg per swirl from succ on the other team + beidou’s burst dmg of 20k times 5 every second for 15s,
if you still can’t beat the game, then git gud is your only option.

yoo this. so true. arguments like “I need a stronger dps” is rendered useless because of national team’s existence alone. such a busted comp and F2P too. literally no reason to not build Xiangling, she is the queen of Abyss after all.

you don’t even need ANY 5* to clear abyss. there are plenty of busted op 4*. there are people clearing abyss with all 4* teams with 4* wep on both halves. if you can’t clear with them and need a “5* broken dps” to carry you you’re just bad at the game
